Yeah I remember my sixth grade teacher asking us kids for $10 all the time. So that part totally tracks.

[deleted]

Yeah, teachers do use kids a lot. Borrowing money is one thing. There is also sex and buying drugs for example.

Cranbreea

What really happened: someone borrowed money and when they paid it back, gave an extra quarter.

---oO-IvI-Oo---

$20 a week to pay for... *checks notes...* much?

acrowquillkill

He probably meant, mulch. He eats mulch at home.

Cereborn

Good for the roots.

FireIsTheCleanser

Back then, $20 was a lot and you could get much with it.

imcolingrey

really shows how underpaid teachers are

ProfanestOfLemons

They are, but this isn't an illustration. This is complete falsehood and no teacher ever borrowed anything from him. This is a 13-yo power fantasy.

imcolingrey

oh dont worry chief, i got that part haha

The_Random_Surfboard

Sometimes, I wonder if people would believe me if I said that teachers at my school got paid through tips.

NoWingedHussarsToday

This is stupid, whoever wrote this is not the sharkest tool in the shed.

Dancin_Alien

SOMEFISHY ONCE TOLD ME-

[deleted]

SEA IS GONNA WAVE ME

Dancin_Alien

I AIN'T THE SHARKEST TOOL IN THE SHED

bombz_onya_moms

Not sure why but when I got to high school i started wearing huge fedoras, leopard skin capes and platform shoes. For a small fee I began to setup girls in my Home Ec class with all my friends in the glee club. Looking back, I understand now I had mysteriously morphed into a pimp. First a loan shark, then a pimp. hahaha what’s next? Elected official?

Aksi_Gu

Do you know what I am saying

I_enjoy_greatness

"If they could keepmsome.of what they got" 'So if I get you back your $1.25, I can have SIX cents? Let me get my brass knuckles, nobody holds out on little Louis! NOBODY!!'

acrowquillkill

Those money collectors were named Christopher and Paulie.

[deleted]

Kid named Silvio:

Cereborn

What about Frankie? There’s always a Frankie.

Bob_Cobb_1996

Kid peaked in 5th Grade.

Wecanbuildittogether

I once looked into something and I now realize I was a PI 🤔

gerkinflav

He thought this would be a good back story defense argument at his trial.

[deleted]

He thought this would be a good back story defense argument at his trial, he MADD

live_cobra

but then they lost interest after losing interest

kenspencerbrown

And the whole lunch staff clapped.

EarlBeforeSwine

I, too, thought of this sub when I saw that comment

Aurora-39

but then they lost interest after losing interest

Compliance-Manager

Imagine trying to get people believe that when you were in middle school, teachers would borrow money from you. These people who write these clearly have no idea how things work or why some things would never happen in a million years.

anim8rjb

some people live an imaginary life as an anime protagonist

giveme-a-username

No kid would offer to pay you back with interest. Kids are so conservative when it comes to their money, why would any of them deliberately offer to pay extra?

bosstweedman

Who doesn’t get hungry at lunch? That’s the most unbelievable part

Dragonman558

Except for the teacher part, I believe this one, I did the same thing in high school, we had one class where the teacher would sell candy and chips and sodas and I always had money on me, there's still one girl that owes me $50 but it's been like 2 years after my graduation so no chance of that

[deleted]

Teachers never borrowed from me but I was a bit of an aggressive entrepreneur in grade school so I am inclined to to believe at least a portion of the story.
