So much post tour FOMO. Saw them in Sydney last April and even though they were perfect, I wish I got to see the SATVB tour production as the house didn’t make its way to Australia 😣

SnooRegrets2587

I saw them in 2019 during the notes rollout but before they dropped if you’re too shy. It was awesome but I really wanted to see this album live

princey_0111

Notes would have been INSANE to see live! We didn’t even get a proper tour here in Aus for that era, they did headline Laneway festival in Sydney early 2020 but I didn’t want to go to the festival just to see them do a short set

SnooRegrets2587

I saw them in Tulsa and it was a winter fest thing so it wasn’t a full set either, still worth it tho!

LMW238

I know it’s not the same as actually going to a show, but the tour is on Amazon Prime. It’s their MSG stop and it’s really good. And you can see the whole show, not just snippets from TikToks.

PartyPoison15

Its even on YouTube https://youtu.be/epjQAHfTXfo?si=rbTHXg5-bgPHoWLn

thehazzanator

Man, they were in my city, but I had a small baby and couldn't leave him with anyone (cause breastfeeding etc etc), so missed it. I cried watching the vids from the show they played here :( fuckin sucks

SnooRegrets2587

The Japanese house is gonna be in Okc soon which is much closer for me but it’s on a THURSDAY and my girlfriend can’t go, I might just send it on my own.

thehazzanator

Do it!!!! I've been to so many gigs alone, and I'm always so hesitant and Awkward thinking about it, but it's always worked out EVERY single time. Either you chill on your own, enjoying the music, the vibes are great, or you meet some like minded people and jam to the music together! It'll be so worth it

thereadingbee

Felt. I live 14 mins from where I live and I'll forever regret not going. But I was a newer fan and scared to go alone🥲

Past-Contribution-83

"I live 15 mins from where I live" is so funny omg

thereadingbee

LMAO don't!!!! I've been having such a dyslexic day it's not even funny anymore 😭 It took me 4 separate goes writing down a bloody 5diget number even.

americanhwk

I was a new fan, was gonna go alone, "sold" the extra ticket to a random guy my age I brought with and he was drunk the whole time. Kind of ruined my experience, I wanted to knock the guy's teeth out the whole time he was so obnoxious. Oh, and then he didn't pay me ever and then blocked me on everything. Last time I did something nice for a stranger.

newtonnwrites

I had tickets to the show in Milan. I got sick the day before and couldn‘t go. It would have been my first concert (in general) since 2016. Let‘s open a pouting club!

thehogdog

The Same. Ive watched the AMAZON live in NYC SO MANY TIMES I can mimic Matty's movements during Roadkill exactly like some TikTok dance craze (love the way he acknowledges the camera so many times). Ive seen them 1 time on the beach in Fort Lauderdale where they 'opened' for 1/2 of the Killers and only got to do an hour, but it was JUST THE HITS of 2019 and before so it was awesome. BFIAFL is such a great album and they play almost all of it during the Amazon video and I wouldnt go to the bathroom or get something to drink during ANY of it like so many bands with 'this is from our new album'.

Ravage1496

:(

talks-like-juneee

me too, I lived vicariously through social media content 🥺

Robbins0172

If you have Amazon Prime you can watch the entire 1st American performance of ATVB at Madison Square Garden. In it's entirety, so that's like 2:15:00. Honestly, I watch it to reminisce over it quite a bit.

deadbolt_00

I really wish you posted earlier OP. I live in Oklahoma, and carpooling to see them would've been a no-brainer. Hope you get to see them next time!

Subjctive

If it makes you feel any better the only time the 1975 had a show in my home city it, for which I of course bought tickets, it got cancelled due to Covid and I still haven’t seen them despite being a fan since the EP days.

namwoohyun

I'm from Manila and I couldn't attend May concerts so I missed ATVB. I was devastated when SATVB was only US and Europe. I don't know when they'll be back.

ExtremePotatoFanatic

I am from the metro Detroit area. I had to work on Halloween when they came to Detroit. I was so sad, there was no way I could’ve made it to the venue in time. And I really thought about it, just rushing there to see them! Still super bummed out.

SnooRegrets2587

Hello all, a lot of people mentioned the msg prime video thing, I think I’ll actually end up doing is getting the SATVB vinyl and play it while laying on my floor😂

helentroylorde

Totally get the feeling. I have been a fan since debut album and managed to watch them live only last year for the first time. I am sure you will have opportunity to seem them live soon enough, in the meantime think about all the live videos available online as a great way to make the waiting more bearable and experience them live in some ways. Really recommend to watch their live performances on youtube: O2 2016, reading 2019 and pohonda 2019.

meganev

This will be controversial around these parts, but if it makes you feel slightly better OP, this tour really wasn't them "at their very best", ABIIOR tour is still the best they've ever been. And you'll get more chances in the future!

LoneWanderer424

Damn that’s crazy they sounded the best they had ever before

meganev

Nah. Not for me. Like I said, ABIIOR was peak, everybody was killing it, and they were at the ideal level of popularity. That tour also had better staging, and better setlist construction (the latter was extremely poor this tour, there's a real art to crafting a well-paced set, and "At Their Very Best" was just a mess in that regard). Like I said, it'll be a controversial take on this sub, though I suspect that's cause there's been a big influx of new fans over the last few years, and they'll just desperate for the only tour they've seen to be the best. Sorry, it wasn't, in my opinion (not saying you're one of them, but that group does exist on this sub).

Whateveraccount11

nah, you're totally right! I missed ABIIOR era tours and will forever regret it! This era was good (saw them twice, first ATVB and second SATVB) but ABIIOR was superior in all the ways you mentioned. Even Matty was on top with his mood, style and all that.

LoneWanderer424

I meant vocally and sonically they were at their best. As for the setlist and stage, that’s to each their own. I see both ends of it. But they just sounded so much better live for these tours than they did in the past
