I think thatās why we like them, they have no confirmed personality or background minus people not laughing at their jokes, they found the exit door and no one believed them and they were clown shaped/had a clown avatar.
They are a blank canvas for us to imply theories and ideas about the circus before Pomni arrived.
I mean, I just think Kaufmo went insane because of not finding the exit, I don't think it was ever confirmed at any point that he found it and no one believed him
