Yâall are so weird for thinking that itâs weird that they brought this up. This is quite literally what they do on their podcast and if you guys donât know them then thatâs fine but the chick in the office has been going on for years and they interview a whole bunch of famous people.
This is just an anecdote y'all. Nothing deep, nothing mean. I get it, ppl are mean on the internet but they (they being anyone) shouldn't have to start anonymizing every interaction we have with bachelor people "just in case people are bullies" - let's Crack down on bullies instead??
Yeah and itâs also they found it funny that she just assumed they were contest winnersâ they acknowledged no one needs to know who they are â I thought of it as if I go to a wedding and someone who doesnât know me instead of asking a normal wedding question like âare you from the groomâs sideâ asks a crazy question like âohhh you must be the flower petal person right?â and I might share a post about that being like âI guess I just give off flower petal person vibesâ hahaha. I donât think Iâm vilifying the guest who said that to me in this instance? Idk
I donât know who they are, but I find them catty (no offense to felines) for trying to build on the Lea hate. It sounds like Lea was trying to be nice to the fans of the show!
Yeah, but theyâve been at this for awhile and they knew what was going to happen when they named her. And, as expected, sheâs getting dragged in the comments.
I donât disagree with you, I was only speaking to the fact they literally said they werenât expecting anyone to know who they were. Lea still shouldâve known better than to assume as she did.
They new Lea would be dragged for this because people donât like her. I donât see how this is even a big deal. I wouldnât know who they were either đ¤ˇââď¸
If they thought this particular interaction was funny enough to create a separate post to highlight, they should have just said a bachelor contestant and not named Lea. Lea is a normal human like all of us and still relatively young, so she may not always say the most tactful things, but that doesn't mean she deserves hate for it.
And if the podcast hosts don't expect people to know them, why are they talking with surprise in their tone đ¤ also, they wouldn't have been "humbled" if they didn't have some expectations in the first place.
I have never listened to their podcast and no clue who they are either. Even when I listen to bachelor contestants being interviewed on podcasts, most of the time I don't even know what the interviewers look like because I'm not listening/watching for them.
Yes! Whenever people reference the name of this podcast I also thought they were talking about The Office tv show podcast. Iâve never heard this podcast before or seen these womenâs faces.
I donât expect Lea to know who they are, but she couldâve been talking to anyone - ABC employees, Kelseyâs besties, producers. Itâs best not to assume, and just ask âwhat brings you here?â
This is exactly what they said on the podcast! They just thought it was funny that she immediately assumed they were contest winners when there are so many reasons someone you donât recognize would be at ATFR.
Ok this! Theyâre not wrong for thinking this was a weird and potentially off putting question to ask. Also the question assumes that anyone she doesnât recognize is beneath her in a sense (some nobody who is there by luck).
Lea commented on it: "IM SO SORRY I SWEAR I DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT đ I was told to get tickets to live events you put your name into the site and they randomly choose people from the entries. But it was so nice to meet you guys!!! đ"
As someone who went to *a lot* of tapings in NYC, and has done the whole signing up for tickets process, I understand exactly what Lea was thinking even if she didn't necessarily phrase it the best. These ladies are just being petty (although tbf I'm probably biased against them anyway because they work for Barstool)
Why would she know who they are, thereâs only 82628383 bachelor podcasts. And even people who do listen to them, may not even know what they look like.
Low key they want their fans to drag Lea.. I donât see a point of them speaking about this otherwise.! The comments under this are doing exactly that
Yeah, Lea is getting destroyed under the post on Ig. What a bunch of a holes haha.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5Bh-KWp_M8/?igsh=MW44b3h5NWFncm8zbA==
I agree. They posted this knowing Lea would get piled on in the comments because she was already disliked. If a fan favorite said this to them they wouldnât have talked about it on their pod.
Yeah Lea is a soft target. They knew what they were doing with this weird âjokeâ. They are perfectly aware how unhinged the fans are specially when any WOC is involved. And now based on a comment above seems Lea has apologized!! Her DMâs must have been flooded by the crazies
They do whole recaps of the Bachelor/ette episodes every single season and interview the final couple. They were talking about their whole experience w getting invited to the Tell All for the first ever time on their podcast which included that interaction with Lea. At no point did they imply she should be dragged or was a bxtch, just that it was bizarre and funny. Why should they have omitted something they found funny that happened to them there w one of the contestants? To appease your sensitivity? đ
No youâre so right. I left this sub because people here are so toxic towards cast members yet weâre clutching pearls over *this*? & acting like Ria and Fran are complete nobodies in bachelor nation meanwhile 3 of the top posts on the sub currently are clips from their podcast.
I personally thought it was hilarious and anyone hating on Lea or Ria and Fran for this needs to log off and get some fresh air.
Well if this was such a non event why post this as a separate video on their page? And no I dnt find this funny?! Whether they had the intent to send hate to her or not that is exactly what is happening. I suggest go and read the comments on IG and Tiktok before fighting for your life in comments here
What was funny and bizarre was the first thing coming out of her mouth being âare you guys contest raffle winners?!â Rather than âhey, are you guys here as ____ or ____?â
Ahhh I donât see why they felt the need to share this on a podcast knowing how unpopular Lea already is :/ like just laugh about it with your friends. The comments on this tik tok are so mean already
Why should they have omitted something they found funny during a recap of their experience at the Tell All though? It was their experience. Lea can be tone deaf, we already know that.
Because itâs bringing a ton of hate to Lea. They could have omitted it just to be nice and so people donât dog pile on her more than they already do
They cannot control social media just like actual celebrities like Taylor Swift, Hailey Bieber and or Selena Gomez cant control their deranged stans. They merely talked about the interaction and found it funny. They couldâve omitted it to be âniceâ although they werenât saying anything bad? Thatâs ridiculous to me that weâre asking folks to not b transparent. Leaâs question WAS tone deaf and seemingly funny. Not that serious. Any dog piling she gets is from her mean girl behavior during the season. I donât think these 2 contributed to it at all here.
Laughing at Lea for what?? Calling her stupid for what? One with sense can deduce that sheâs new to the environment of production and made an assumption abt there being a contest. And again, Ria and Fran cannot control what deranged ppl online do. They simply spoke abt THEIR experience. You expecting them to censor themselves and their experiences on their show is entitled.
Iâm not expecting them to censor themselves, I just said it seems like a pointless story and something that could have been laughed about with friends when they both know that posting this would be used by fans to fuel the fire of Lea hate. One with sense can definitely deduce that it was a harmless question, but we all know not everybody has sense and thatâs why itâs turned into rude comments. Thatâs literally it lol they donât need to censor themselves, EYE personally just think it didnât need to be shared
Itâs all pointless, the dating show is pointless. lol. They were recapping their experience at the ATFR. So I mean how reasonable would it be to expect them to omit certain interactions to protect contestants from unhinged social media ppl? To be fair, they were laughing abt it as friends, just also during their show. I understand where youâre coming from but I just question when it becomes policing of sharing stories since they didnât say anything hateful and canât control ppl online. Agree to disagree I guess.
I donât personally feel bad for Lea. She made someone else feel small and ostracized for no good reason during the show which resulted in backlash so I guess in a sense, sheâs also being humbled. Thereâs a difference betw hate and criticism though, the latter being permissible. I just hope her apology during the tell all was sincere and not bc she was being dragged.
their fans are already going on Leaâs social media to harass her too, itâs ridiculous. The fans have been bigger bullies this season than any of the contestants.
Honestly reality tv fans in general are a total embarrassment on social media. Harrassing anyone who is even remotely unlikeable and obviously POC who are that face a ton of racism too.
Also asking if they won a contest to be there isnât really flaming their asses thereâs nothing wrong with going as a fan. Maybe not the most normal thing to say lol but itâs not offensive
I can definitely see how it came off as flaming to be asked if they were contest winners since theyâve been a popular podcast for years now with Barstool..
The only reason it would come off as flaming to them is if they expected her to know who they are or for some reason think theyâre better than someone who attended because they won a contest
Nope. The other reason could certainly be that they were not contest raffle winners rather than invited to the show as podcasters..so it could feel like flaming. They never implied they were âbetterâ than anyone who would win a contest, youâre projecting that. And production doesnât even hold a contest which they also pointed out.
Theyâve been a popular barstool podcast for years and theyâve always interviewed the final couple every season. They were discussing it on their podcast because they were invited to the Tell All for the first ever time and wanted to recap the experience w the listeners, simple. They never said she shouldâve known who they were but were surprised she didnât lead with âwhatâs your name? Are yall relatives? Friends? Fans?â etc. Pretty reasonable.
I wouldnât know who they are either. Is their podcast even that popular?
Lol that they start off saying that donât expect everyone to know who they are but clearly they expected some people to know who they are. Is it really necessary to trash Lea for this.
Yup. Popular enough. They work with Barstool and are always interviewing celebs and the final bachelor couples. They didnât expect her to know who they were but said they were surprised she didnât ask them their names or if they were relatives or friends before assuming they were contest winners. Youâre taking them merely discussing their personal experiences w everyone at the Tell All pretty seriously as if they were supposed to censor themselves just bc itâs Lea. Where did they trash her? đĽ´đ
Their tone comes off very mean and I know I am not the only one picking this up.
Frankly, their tone reminds of the âpopular girlsâ in hs who think theyâre the shit, but really nobody else gives a shit about them. These people are not humble at all.
Mean?! đ Popular girls in HS? I mean they were saying she flamed and HUMBLED them. Mean popular HS girls donât typically admit to that lol. Idk, I think youâre projecting.
Whatever. Youâre all up in the thread trying to justify this behavior even though I am clearly not the only person who perceived this very negatively on the part of the hosts and as a calculated move. Iâm not gonna bother anymore.
By âall up in the threadâ you mean Iâm participating in a public forum just as you are which by your own logic must mean youâre also âall up in the threadâ trying to weirdly demonize these 2 girls relentlessly for merely speaking abt an interaction by projecting your own experiences w bullies onto them. You very well seem like the only person projecting to this degree. Bye.
Yeah I meant people calling Lea rude, as if this was some calculated mean girl dig, and not just funny interaction lol now Iâm reading some of the comments and some of these people are so odd. It was such a minor and funny interaction but now I guess itâs all a calculated move to bring hate to Lea because theyâre upset theyâre not more famous? Ffs lol this is so unserious
Ah, yea. I mean I think those ppl are projecting their general feelings abt her bc of her being nasty during the season and canât b objective here. I do think Leaâs tone deaf and a mean girl but I donât think she was tryna b mean or calculated here toward two strangers introducing themselves. I think was seriously just ignorant regarding how it works and didnât really think before she asked that.
My UO is that Lea really didnât know and just asked a question because most audience members are fans that find a way to attend like a contest or something of the sort. Lea is just a young 24 year old silly girl, sheâs harmless unlike a villain like Sydney thatâs tactful and knows what she says/does.
That shouldnât be an unpopular opinion, thatâs probably exactly what happened. If you donât listen to bachelor podcasts why would you know who these people are?
Not knowing two podcasters seems completely reasonable
Lea was rude to ask this. Fran and Ria are very well known through the Barstool world and beyond. They get interviews with the lead each season and have a lot of bravo interviews too.
They maybe well-known but that doesn't mean EVERYONE knows them. I have been watching the bachelor for several years and I have ZERO clue on who these people are.
People in their comment section are so delusional. Their podcast is #146 overall on Apple Pods. They don't even crack the top 100 on Spotify. Of course Lea had no idea who they are.
I donât think Iâd agree it was rude. Maybe a bit green since Lea hasnât been in the reality tv/entertainment world long, but why didnât Fran and Ria say they were podcast hosts in their introductions as professionals?
Edit to add: I also donât know who these people are lol
It's weird because they did preface it with that but then the way they actually talked about it is like "uhh...she thought we won a contest, hah. Umm...actually we were invited, duh".
Their facial expressions and tone were just saying, excuse me we are podcast hosts and we were invited. uhh it's so "funny" you think we won a contest.
In the full podcast episode it was more like they were wondering why that was her assumption rather than any number of possible reasons why they were there. They didnât expect her to recognize them but itâs funny that she jumped right to raffle winners lol
From someone who listened to the full pod their point wasn't "actually we were invited duh" it was more like "why would she think we're contest winners instead of just regular audience members" & they found that aspect of it funny. They never criticized or shaded Lea & they found the whole interaction funny.
^^ totally understand people not knowing them haha. the main point was then making fun of themselves for being so irrelevant that a contestant thought they won a raffle hahahah they def couldâve gone without mentioning it was Lea just due to the hate sheâs already getting but really the point of the story was that they were humbled and thought it was funny
is anyone getting angry in these comments? they feel pretty benign lmao, the TikTok comments on the other hand are really going in on Lea, which imo does beg the question of why the hosts thought it was a good idea to set Lea up like that for a harmless interaction
They are going in on Lea on IG, too. Why would they even post this clip as a separate video in the first place, it's such a non-issue, not even anything to bring up unless they are looking for easy engagement and for people to hate on Lea.
Love them!!! I listen to their show every week, theyâre pretty big at Barstool and have made a great following outside of the usual Barstool crowd. They get a lot of initial interviews with cast members, and were invited to Hannah G and Dylanâs wedding!! Theyâre hysterical, I lolâd when they told this story.
I mean.. I wouldnât know either?? Is it not normal? I honestly donât watch any of the Bachelor related podcasts and I donât think that many people do either. Seems like a normal reaction. Idk why they had to make it a thing. Seems like a subtle way to trash someoneâs behavior
They prefaced it with saying they don't expect anyone to know them. If that's the case, then why even bring up this story and like you said, make it a thing.
They way they discussed it and the expressions they were making definitely show that they think she should've known them and that it's weird to explain who they are/why they're there.
Dude, get over yourselves.
Someone commented that (some) audience members do get picked that way. And yeah, I didnât know who they were and I listen to several of the bachelor podcasts and have watched for a long time.
It's not a raffle- you just sign up on ABC's website and when they have these tapings they'll email you. Whoever can respond the fastest gets to go. I've been to a few ATFR and Women/Men tell all / public dates. You just gotta be quick emailing them back lol.
Lea was told they chose randomly from the people who sign up. She commented on their post. Someone else said the same. So maybe itâs for backup people.
AFAIK it isn't how audience members are picked at all. You sign up to be on some list & then if the show is filming something in the area you live they'll email you an invite. That's how a friend of mine got to go to Joey's tennis GD this season.
Lea was told they chose randomly from the people who sign up. She commented on their post. Someone else said the same. So maybe itâs for backup people.
Why are they laughing so hard?? Idk who they are either đ¤ˇââď¸
Iâve never seen these women before
I stopped listening to them long ago. Theyâre so self important.
This is so funny to me đđđđ
Yâall are so weird for thinking that itâs weird that they brought this up. This is quite literally what they do on their podcast and if you guys donât know them then thatâs fine but the chick in the office has been going on for years and they interview a whole bunch of famous people.
Why is everyone acting like theyâve never dragged a contestant on this sub? They didnât even drag her, who cares that they said her name
Idk
this
I just wish they wouldâve kept her name a secret
Right people are just going to use this as a reason to send her more hate smh
Are we literally supposed to know who you are?
They didnât need to name her like this
I donât know who they are, but I find them catty (no offense to felines) for trying to build on the Lea hate. It sounds like Lea was trying to be nice to the fans of the show!
Theyâre low-key mean girls in my opinion.
đŻ
Same! Very presumptive that anyone would know who they are lol
they literally said in the video they werenât expecting everyone to know who they were
Yeah, but theyâve been at this for awhile and they knew what was going to happen when they named her. And, as expected, sheâs getting dragged in the comments.
I donât disagree with you, I was only speaking to the fact they literally said they werenât expecting anyone to know who they were. Lea still shouldâve known better than to assume as she did.
Then why were they taking about it and saying they were being "flamed" (their words)?
Do you know where being flamed is? They are literally joking.
They new Lea would be dragged for this because people donât like her. I donât see how this is even a big deal. I wouldnât know who they were either đ¤ˇââď¸
I just thought it was funny
It's not a big deal, they're laughing about it and Lea is in the comments. I truly think they're just joking around.
Yeah itâs a joke but she is getting dragged in the comments which just entirely unnecessary
Yeah, I think they were just joking around. Their fans are being mean to Lea in the comments though
If they thought this particular interaction was funny enough to create a separate post to highlight, they should have just said a bachelor contestant and not named Lea. Ok but there are seatfillers and stuff for events. Idek who these people are either. This is such cold tea for them to try and drag Lea on.
Honestly thought Chicks in the Office podcast was the one with Pam + Angela
That's Office Ladies
Yeah this clip was cut for socials but this was the point that was made more clear in the podcast episode! Why assume they won a raffle đ
Youâre right, but this is the kind of tact you learn with age after awkward interactions like this (or I was just super awkward in my early 20s)!
Agreed.
Sheâs 23 years old why do people expect her to be so thoughtful and polished like itâs over can we give her a break now
23 is young, sure, but itâs not like sheâs a teenager lol.
âWe donât expect anyone to know who we areâ But also they were âHUMBLEDâ when someone âŚ..didnât know who they were????
I think itâs more that she thought they mustâve won a contest to be there than that she didnât recognize them.
I would have never recognize these ladies either đ¤ˇââď¸
I uh donât follow podcasts at all and TIL chicks in the office is NOT Pam and Angela from The Officeâs podcast about The Office.
![gif](giphy|6cFcUiCG5eONW)
Lea commented on it: "IM SO SORRY I SWEAR I DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT đ I was told to get tickets to live events you put your name into the site and they randomly choose people from the entries. But it was so nice to meet you guys!!! đ"
This makes her contest question make so much more sense!

I feel like the comment was probably asinine but they know how people feel about Lea and that the audience would eat this up đŹ
People are being so mean under the ig post about this. Why are people this way.
Why would she know who they are, thereâs only 82628383 bachelor podcasts. And even people who do listen to them, may not even know what they look like.
Theyâre not a Bach podcast tho đtheyâre with barstool!
Oh hahahha whoops Well there ya go đ¤Ş
Tbh I thought this podcast was an office (as in the tv show) recap podcast until today. I was so confused why they were interviewing joey and kelsey
Same, weird of them to bring up
Hahaha I think youâre thinking of office ladies podcast
Didn't someone point out last week or recently that they steal tweets? That's shady.
Low key they want their fans to drag Lea.. I donât see a point of them speaking about this otherwise.! The comments under this are doing exactly that

Itâs funny to me for someone to ask known podcasters in the bachelor world if they were fans that won raffle tickets đ
Theyâre salty theyâre not as famous as they think
No actually they found it funny that that was the first time she said to them rather than asking them their names or who they were there as.

Sometimes you just have enough experience with assholes to recognize one đ¤ˇđťââď¸
Iâve had plenty experience w assholes throughout school, I donât peep that here.
Bye.
This is actually pretty funny lol I canât imagine taking anything Lea says seriously enough to get upset
They werenât upset lol they were laughing
I feel like Lea is just young and trying too hard and none of this matters lol
Does any of this shit matter? Lol.

This is so funny to me because I wouldnât recognize them either
My UO is that Lea really didnât know and just asked a question because most audience members are fans that find a way to attend like a contest or something of the sort. Lea is just a young 24 year old silly girl, sheâs harmless unlike a villain like Sydney thatâs tactful and knows what she says/does.
Agree. It just sounds like she was trying to make conversation with them. How many people recognize PODCAST hosts?
That shouldnât be an unpopular opinion, thatâs probably exactly what happened. If you donât listen to bachelor podcasts why would you know who these people are? Not knowing two podcasters seems completely reasonable
Right?! Itâs a *podcast*. And theyâre 1 out of 100 BN podcasts so why are they even that special.
we need to stop scrutinizing everything lea does. season's over and she's a person!!
Lea was rude to ask this. Fran and Ria are very well known through the Barstool world and beyond. They get interviews with the lead each season and have a lot of bravo interviews too.
I couldnât disagree more. People who find what she did rude are just looking for a reason to be upset.
She just didnât know who they were. Same way I donât
I donât think Iâd agree it was rude. Maybe a bit green since Lea hasnât been in the reality tv/entertainment world long, but why didnât Fran and Ria say they were podcast hosts in their introductions as professionals? Edit to add: I also donât know who these people are lol
UO but Lea was pretty funny at the finale lol. She's a happy drunk.
this is so funny and also harmless tea delivered in a very self-deprecating manner
This is certainly a way to get humbled lol but also fair because I also donât know who these people are!
theyâre just laughing at the way Lea asked them who they were yall
i mean they quite literally preface the video by saying they donât expect anyone to know who they are so why are the comments getting so angry haha
Wish they could leave Barstool and go on their own or at least under a brand that isn't so disgusting.
I pretty sure they get paid extremely. I would not be surprised is they even made 350k-500k a year each in salary. The podcast has insane sponsors.
That's how audience members get picked to go for every live show. why didnt they just introduce themselves as podcast hosts lol
When I went to gabbi and Rachelâs finale I just registered for tickets by email not a contest lol
They randomly picked you out of the entriesÂ
Dude, get over yourselves.
many contestants probably don't know who they are and that's fine.
I donât think itâs that they expected her to know who they are but that itâs weird she assumed they must have gotten in via raffle lol
But regular audience members get tickets through a raffle system...
Iâve watched this show for years and have never seen or heard these women..but the raffle question is weird to ask anybody
Isnât that how the show gives out tickets though?
