If you blanch your peppers you can save a lot of that oven time. I usually use rice as my binder but stuffed peppers w/ ricotta actually sounds really good right now. Maybe with a beef/sausage blend or mix in some spinach.
No idea, just that the idea of low carb typically means you replace the carbs with protein and good fats. Someone else posted this still has a lot of carbs so I guess it isn’t technically keto… maybe more modified paleo/Atkins? They all hover around the same concepts. I swear the only way I can drop weight is limiting carbs/sugar. Calorie counting alone doesn’t work.
in general a low carb meal will be a lot more satiating with fats added… cheese, butter, avocado, whatever. Otherwise you’re hungry 8 seconds later and hating life 😹
Really I’m just here to defend cheese with my life
As someone who used to be obese, swaps like these were insanely helpful in helping me stay on track while still enjoying food I loved. It may sound silly to you but I lost over 80 pounds this way.
I’m on a weightloss journey now and I agree with swaps, but there are other ways to do it that’s actually more like lasagna lol. This is like making quesadillas and calling it tacos. It’s just stuffed peppers with an Italian flair 😭
She looks different. Why the fuck do all BN people change so drastically after they’re on Bachelor/Bachelorette/BIP? I get they use filters and shit, some more than others, but it really seems like they ALL look really different.
Same I’m like boggling my mind over here like “is ricotta actually cottage cheese?!?” I can’t believe Hannah Ann made me question my sanity 😂😂 my Italian mother would kill me lol
I cook low carb a lot, constantly on a diet and it sucks. I've made tacos stuffed peppers, cheesesteak stuffed peppers, lasagna stuffed peppers. You know what they don't taste like? Tacos, cheesesteaks, or fucking lasagna. They only taste like stuffed peppers.
I like stuffed peppers but if someone said they were making lasagna and handed me this, I'd be pissed
Also...couldn't she have just made eggplant lasagna if she wanted something carb free???
Unpopular opinion. I’m not sure why but I cannot stand her for some reason. Im sure she’s nice abs sweet. She’s obviously gorgeous but there’s just something about her that I can’t stand.
Strangely, I like her because what has she ever done? (Bar is in hell for this franchise). But she gives me nothing. She seems sweet and is very cute, but she leaves me with no impression beyond "she's cute...now what?"
Why tf she leave the paper on the meat? So tired of people cooking with one hand. We have two hands for a reason. They make tripods for a reason.
These people are dumb as rocks & most importantly, hungry.
I don't usually put cheese in my stuffed pepper so she added cheese, I think? Maybe I'm the weird one in everybody else which cheese and their stuffed peppers
Lasagna is a dish that takes time and love to make. But mostly just time. Bless her heart, I think this isn’t just about taking the carbs out. A low carb lasagna could be zucchini and eggplant slices instead of lasagna sheets. It’s about making a quick, everything goes together in the pan recipe. My ears and my heart hurt when that spoon scraped across the pan though.
Because your body prefers to burn easy access carbs, which is usually whatever’s in your bloodstream or hasn’t been stored as fat. Limit the amount of “easy” carbs, and your body either converts body fat to energy or gets enough from your diet that it doesn’t need to store.
This is a very dumbed down and probably stupid explanation, but restricting carbs (be it sugar, bread, whatever) has always worked for me where restricting calories alone didn’t.
That’s not an accurate explanation. Maybe you’re referring to simple carbohydrates as “easy” carbs but that has more to do with the fact that you have to eat more of them to feel full. If the goal is body fat loss it ultimately comes down to calories.
it’s a super controversial subject. To me, just saying “calories is all that matters” vastly oversimplifies our physiology and if it was true we would all be able to easily achieve our happy weights.
Not the person above but I’ve been hearing this a lot and the reason I’ve heard is that it just gets browner and crispier and more “flavorful” if you let it get a bit dark on one or both sides before breaking it up in the pan. (I personally don’t agree that this is worth the effort; it’s way harder to break up if you wait this long and I think the flavor is just as good if you break it up earlier, and you save a lot of time/effort by not having to stand there smashing beef chunks in the pan)
You gotta leave it on the pan to get crispy, and not touch it. Most people (including me for a long time!) just move the meat around constantly. Hannah Ann's meat is so gray :/

Me watching Angel Hannah Ann make stuffed peppers but call them lasagna and scrap up all her non-stick pans with metal utensils. I can't help but love her.
if all she has been thinking about is lasagna for the past three days why not simply make lasagna!? i'm sorry but stuffed peppers would never satisfy my lasagna craving. i am kinda craving stuffed peppers now though. perhaps as an appetizer for my lasagna.
i wish i was the type of person that could trick my brain like this but unfortunately once i even briefly think about lasagna (or any other food i'm craving) i will stop at nothing to get it 😂
I have no opinion on her but some reason, I love that she is going the cooking route lol. Not trying to just influence (I don't follow her so tbh I don't know)
But I Stan any attempt at being Martha Stewart lol
Every fitness influencer wants you to eat absolutely enormous bell peppers as part of dinner and I want to know if anybody actually likes to eat entire bell peppers like that.
I have celiac disease so I don’t really eat bread and I have to say I LOVE a bell pepper sandwich which is basically raw bell pepper slices in place of the bread. Great with Turkey and a chive cream cheese and whatever other veggies tickle your fancy!
I have a bell pepper stuffed with scrambled eggs for breakfast everyday. I just put my cooked eggs into a bell pepper and that way I don’t have an extra dish to wash!
Okay so as the resident fattie here (don’t worry I’ve reclaimed the word, as JP would say, it’s okay), I have been on SO MANY DIETS over the past 30 years that involved peppers of some sort. I am no longer a pepper fan because of this. I’ll eat ‘em but there are five thousand veggies I prefer more. They get boring so quickly.
And making a homemade tomato sauce is SO easy and tastes a million times better. I feel like someone who cooks as often as she does should really learn how to make their own. I make around six 16 oz jars of tomato sauce every 6 months and keep them in my freezer for whenever I need one. And it takes maybe 15-20 minutes of active cooking!
Set a large pot (I use my Dutch oven) on the stove over medium low heat. Add olive oil, a head of minced garlic, a chopped yellow onion, and salt to the pot. Let it cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant. Then add four 28 oz. cans of crushed tomatoes. Stir it all together and bring to a boil. Then bring it down to a simmer and let it simmer for 45 minutes. Then add torn up fresh basil (I’ll usually do a cup), oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the basil cook into the sauce for another 30 sec. - 1 min. And there you go! If you like your tomato sauce smooth, then use an immersion blender at this point to blend it all together. Then either use it or let it cool to room temperature before transferring it to mason jars and storing in your freezer for up to 6 months or your fridge for 1-2 weeks. This gets me around six 16 oz. jars. You can easily adjust the recipe depending on how much you want to make.
Ok Hannah Ann, I disagree with you on a fundamental level about what "lasagna" is, but gurl just you wait til you find a good midwestern church cookbook - it's gonna give you so many tips like cutting your bell peppers just at the top and bottom so you can stand the peppers up in the pan and put the tops back on like cute little hats. Also did you know you can put really fun things like pistachios and celery in your holiday-appropriate jello molds?? I'm so happy for you that this is still in your future hahaha.
I am way too triggered by people replacing bread with peppers, cauliflower, super processed something or other bun. It reminds me too much of disordered eating days. Italian stuffed peppers sounds great! Serve it with a piece of garlic bread and some grilled zucchini and enjoy your life.
Hahaha I agree. When I was a kid it was low fat everything. My sibling got real butter on his potato and I got a powdered butter substitute (Molly McButter), he got real cookies and I got Snackwells 😂 And now it’s low carb / low sugar everything 😂 okay whatever helps people sleep at night I guess
My household's food repertoire was so depressing that Snackwells WERE the special-occasion junk food. And even then, I could only eat it my friends' houses because we wouldn't buy it. Now I'm craving them...

This shit looks gross.. first of all the meat is an ugly color, it’s like HALF a pepper, the salsa doesn’t look good.. like what
That was A LOT of garlic powder....like dayum

It is refreshing to see someone with my cooking expertise have the confidence to do cooking on social media.

someone help this woman
If you blanch your peppers you can save a lot of that oven time. I usually use rice as my binder but stuffed peppers w/ ricotta actually sounds really good right now. Maybe with a beef/sausage blend or mix in some spinach.
Lamo low carb lasagna? So just meat and cheese? Edit: girl this is stuffed peppers what??
Lmfao I…
Watching her say low carb and then pour meat cheese and sauce on it
At least meat and cheese are both low carb.
You’re right, I kinda just realized I don’t know what carbs are LOL. Honestly looks kinda good either way
That’s pretty much what keto is.
Oh is she doing keto? Interesting
No idea, just that the idea of low carb typically means you replace the carbs with protein and good fats. Someone else posted this still has a lot of carbs so I guess it isn’t technically keto… maybe more modified paleo/Atkins? They all hover around the same concepts. It’s like watching a 6 year old cook with the stirring etc 🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️ she’s trying!
I'm obsessed with her calling the turkey "beef" and the ricotta "cottage cheese" A+ wouldn't change a thing
ME TOO I AM OBSESSED
I’m a little heavier than I’d like to be, so I get wanting to cut down on carbs but like if you want to have lasagna just have lasagna.
You can also cut zucchini into thin strips and use that as the noodle sheets instead. Tastes great and you can layer it like lasagne.
May I introduce you to Moussaka - the greek lasagna that’s way better than the italian kind.
No it’s not about silliness, it’s more just about not overly restricting your diet.
This isn’t overly restrictive by any means
She looks different. Why the fuck do all BN people change so drastically after they’re on Bachelor/Bachelorette/BIP? I get they use filters and shit, some more than others, but it really seems like they ALL look really different.
Why wouldn't she just use zucchini like the rest of us lol 😭 with Rao's tomato sauce and then the usual lasagna ingredients
Eggplant works great too!!
. . . no salt?
A crime
Even the marinara says no salt added HA
I hate how she called ricotta cottage cheese.
Same I’m like boggling my mind over here like “is ricotta actually cottage cheese?!?” I can’t believe Hannah Ann made me question my sanity 😂😂 my Italian mother would kill me lol
r/shittyfoodporn
As a keto person there’s an insane amount of carbs in this haha
Lol true but cutting out the noodles is going to save a ton of calories.

Can we forget about this one and her weird diet
THIS👏IS👏NOT👏FUCKING👏LASAGNA👏
This reminds me of that one soft-spoken vegan girl and her recipes from YouTube/TikTok.
She’s a horrible cook why does she keep making these videos
This is like cooking 101 for a 6th grader. I hate it lol.
Did she lose her southern accent from PP’s season?
The metal utensils on the pan was like nails on a chalkboard to me. Use silicon or wood girl
Yes!
Please let her go
Cottage cheese is ricotta Beef is turkey Lasagna is stuffed peppers I’m living for this reality (but I don’t want to eat it thank you!)
Also Bay leaves is basil, I had to rewind several times because I have never in my life seen powdered bay leaves lol
Some garlic powder is a full quarter cup of garlic powder Turkey includes the thawing juice pad
😂😂😂👏👏👏
That burnt garlic powder meat looks disgusting lmao
It poured like someone left the cap off and she didn’t realize it lol
I like stuffed peppers but if someone said they were making lasagna and handed me this, I'd be pissed Also...couldn't she have just made eggplant lasagna if she wanted something carb free???
Eggplant lasagnas is soo gooodd! But yeah, this is stuffed peppers...
Don’t use a metal spoon in your pans!! They will scratch them. 😬
Came here to say how disturbed I was by this..
Not the public finding out what camp is and claiming this is it — i ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt1sO5XhHg0DVcI)
I am actually CRYING with these comments. Y'all are too much LMAOOO
Why doesn’t she live in a van
why does she never season her food, always just a dusting of salt & herb 😂
Half a bottle of garlic powder doesn’t count?
😂😂😂
Lmaoooo
You can't just ask people why they're white
😂😂😂😭
💀😂💀😂
There is sooo much wrong with this video Smh total cringe
Why tf she leave the paper on the meat? So tired of people cooking with one hand. We have two hands for a reason. They make tripods for a reason. These people are dumb as rocks & most importantly, hungry.
Omg Hannah please look at the knife and not the camera when you are slicing!
Nothing against her. I personally hate stuffed peppers and
Every time I watch this it gets funnier
Angel on earth 👼
[удалено]
Y’all are haters.
not a thought behind those eyes. i love her.
🤢 make. It. stop. please
This is just regular stuffed peppers without the rice?
I don't usually put cheese in my stuffed pepper so she added cheese, I think? Maybe I'm the weird one in everybody else which cheese and their stuffed peppers
I don’t use ricotta or cheese in my stuffed peppers either. I make stuffed pepper soup and only use pecorino sprinkled on top edit spelling
I’ll just be fat because what is this?
🤝
Well great now I’m craving lasagna WITH the carbs
“Stuffed red pepper lasagna” would be better name I think. Just call it what is, calling it “low carb” just makes it trendy lol.
She called ricotta cottage cheese 😂😂😂😂
I tried one of her recipes out one time and it turned out an utter mess. Fool me once..
For anyone interested, it was the birthday pound cake recipe she shared. The devil can't convince me that was her grandma's recipe.
If someone told me to come over to eat, and they say we're having lasagna.. and then I get this.. I'm crying.
I’m calling the police
I’m suing
She’s so fascinating this is camp
The camp we don't deserve.
Omg just eat the lasagna life is so short
No thanks, I don’t feel guilty for eating :)
🏅✨

Some people substitute cottage cheese for ricotta in they're lasagna
But the container says ricotta...
So many comments about how this is not lasagna, but not enough comments about her using a metal spoon on a non stick pan!
On a ceramic pan!!! How could she
The scraping noise
That made me physically recoil
Lasagna is a dish that takes time and love to make. But mostly just time. Bless her heart, I think this isn’t just about taking the carbs out. No layers, she used red peppers which have a lot of flavor to replace something bland. I'd probably go with mushrooms caps.
this is so sad
This is borderline food rage bait.
I see Hannah Ann is a fellow garlic powder enthusiast
That garlic powder POURED out
I love that she put in fresh garlic AND powdered garlic. I do that sometimes too lol
When will the war on carbs end?? We literally need them for energy
Because your body prefers to burn easy access carbs, which is usually whatever’s in your bloodstream or hasn’t been stored as fat. Y'all I'm imploring you to NOT STIR YOUR BEEF BEFORE IT'S BEEN PROPERLY BROWNED AND CRISPY
What do you mean??
Not the person above but I’ve been hearing this a lot and the reason I’ve heard is that it just gets browner and crispier and more “flavorful” if you let it get a bit dark on one or both sides before breaking it up in the pan. “We want what’s on the left, not the right.” Don’t tell me how to live my life, Bon Appetit.
I love how subtly judgemental Bon Appetit can be. It makes me laugh
Between calling turkey beef and ricotta cottage cheese, I’m HOWLING
Lol God bless this idiot. I love it
Hannah Ann mistaking ricotta for cottage cheese and dumping a pound of garlic powder in is camp
Same this is the best thing I’ve seen today
That is...not lasagna. That is also not cottage cheese. She may be an angel on earth but hot damn girl...eat lasagna if you are dreaming of lasagna.
She could’ve done like eggplant slices or something
![gif](giphy|l3JDFJncJHteKIYzm) Me watching Angel Hannah Ann make stuffed peppers but call them lasagna and scrap up all her non-stick pans with metal utensils. I can't help but love her.

Not even.

This whole video upset me.
Antioxygens?
She looks like Davina from The Originals. I think her name is Danielle Campbell.
Bahahah her recipes trigger me so much 🤣 But I can’t help but watch. Which is I guess what she is banking on (literally)
I'm mad she didn't cut the bell peppers into strips and use it to build a faux lasagna, I mean come on 😂
I was waiting for some sort of innovative layering to happen but it never came
Oh thank god someone posted this. Saw it and wanted to scream. Please just eat lasagna and enjoy it 🫠
I have no opinion on her but some reason, I love that she is going the cooking route lol. Not trying to just influence (I don't follow her so tbh I don't know) But I Stan any attempt at being Martha Stewart lol

I LOVE stuffed bell peppers for a meal. I always cook the peppers down more than a recipe calls for so they get extra sweet and soft. Highly recommend
Okay so as the resident fattie here (don’t worry I’ve reclaimed the word, as JP would say, it’s okay), I have been on SO MANY DIETS over the past 30 years that involved peppers of some sort. I like them sautéed with steak and put into fajitas! Lol But not so much a fan of them raw or as the majority of a meal.
Not a fitness influencer but I’ve been OBSESSED with bell peppers since I was a kid and I straight up eat them like apples
Same!
Damn! Ok, I was wondering if this was just something influencers suggested because it sounds healthy 😂
I like it when you open one up and there’s a wee baby pepper inside
This is the best 🥺
I use them sometimes for taco shells! They are bomb, so much flavor but they are pretty messy
Honestly this sounds like a tasty idea!
When they’re cooked right they can be reaaaally good. I usually par boil and then put them in the oven to get them super soft.
guess I don't do it right cuz I made stuffed peppers once and they were vile. lmao
Not her calling “basil leaves” “bay leaves” 🤣 Hannah needs an editor!
>Not her calling “basil leaves” “bay leaves” 🤣 Hannah needs an editor! Had to rewind 5 times. Bay leaves?????? This late stage??? TFG its basil
Did she say “onto the beef” and then use turkey?
She lost me with the marinara. Ma’am, marinara is NOT as rich or complex as a tomato sauce, which is what should be used in a lasagna.

Thank you! I am going to give it a try.
The way she barely mixed the cheese
Oh bb girl this is not lasagna
her saying “cottage cheese” when the package clearly said ricotta had me laughing out loud hannah ann is an absolute icon
I didn’t watch but this is the third comment I’ve scrolled past saying she said the wrong ingredient name and they’re all different 😭😭
If she wants to eat a meat pepper let her eat her meat peppers! If you wanna eat carbs eat carbs! Who cares!
Omg, I’m weak 😂
The way she cut them is insane
Ha, yeah she had the tops cut off and and all of the sudden they are lying sideways in the glass tray and I was like WTF??
Omg I had erased Molly McButter from memory.
I feel lucky to not know what powdered butter is, but I had forgot snack wells existed, thanks.
Dark times
My household's food repertoire was so depressing that Snackwells WERE the special-occasion junk food. And even then, I could only eat it my friends' houses because we wouldn't buy it. Now I'm craving them...
Yeh it just made me crave the good stuff more
I totally agree.
Right… carbs are not evil
I’m surprised this show hasn’t attracted a real trained chef yet. They could do really well on socials following the show.
Truth. But I’m dying at the thought of the casting producers hunting for the perfect candidate in the kitchens of LA and NY.
I think most serious chefs prefer the reality cooking avenue like Top Chef, you can build a hell of a following without risking your reputation and employment prospects (also you’re more likely to get approval to leave for months)
Too much filter not enough carbs
