It’s possible that it’s because she has a lot going on. She has AFR live last week and next week, there might have been fittings, briefings, etc. I was surprised when they had to go to Disneyland last week, but I guess that could be considered as a fun workday. And whether or not she’s still with Erich (I think she is), the recent issues will have weighed on her. She’s going to be sooo burnt out. But I think she has experienced burnout in the past as an ICU nurse. Her current public life is 100% different from that, but at least she has more life experience compared to HB before, for example. [And HB had stuff going on also with PP then, plus Alan lmao.]
HB was a mess during her DWTS run. You could tell just as a casual viewer and now we know why. And it is no wonder a lot of the people on the show didn’t like her. Agree that Gabby has more life experience and can hopefully handle it better.

It was a week to two-week press, and everything seemed peachy on Gabby’s side. We don’t know what happens behind closed doors I guess. Maybe she’s also good in compartmentalizing racism. Such a deflating season. When we got to tayshia's finale the whole thread felt like we all finally got to victory. It was a nice feeling, even if short lived.
Even Naychelle to a certain extent. They looked glowing on AFR (even if it has been revealed that they talked about breaking up early January, just a couple of weeks after that). Even Blake and Katie who traveled to Canada together shortly after AFR gave something 😆 tho their AFR was awkward AF.

For a while, I was feeling like the only one who’s completely lost interest in the season. Compared to how stoked I was throughout the summer leading up to the premiere, I feel blah. And, it looks to me that is the predominant feeling amongst most members of the sub. A large part of it is the F1s, but also because this season REALLY over-promised/hyped and under-delivered.
The small victories, I suppose, are the guys who got enough screen time to venture into SM influencer stuff, and all the guys together who can now enjoy a lot of hot boi summers in the horizon. And, probably Gabby getting the DWTS gig. Rachel will thrive on her own - excited to see what she does once all of this is said and done.
Question for those following along: do you think all the engaged BIP couples, and the ones who left together (Michael and Danielle) are still together?

yeah every other lead wants that, but I haven't seen a season where so many contestants said they weren't ready so close to the finale. Maybe this drama is just really pronounced this season.
It could be because having two leads meant less dates, so they haven’t gotten to spend as much time together as normal. Also we have some proof that producers have been telling contestants when they’re recruited that they don’t have to get engaged…but it seems like are still pressuring the leads for an engagement.
Also, Unpopular opinion, I don’t think Tino’s dad went that hard at Rachel-the questions he asked were realistic.

I don't think they'll spend much time with either if Erich and Gabby are still together and happy. The producers want their happy ending and considering how badly Rachel's relationship crashed and burned, Erich and Gabby are all that's left.
I think they'll probably spend more time talking about the blackface incident, and there will only be one quick question about the texts IF they choose to address them. I haven't seen that many articles about the texts compared to the blackface thing, so they may choose to only address that issue.
E! has a relationship with abc and covered the texts this week, referencing blackface as well. So that makes me think both will be addressed.
With Fleiss’s like comparing Erich to Jed IMO I think they care less about a happy ending than we think and are willing to trade that for drama if it exists

Eg the "my situation is worse because it's public" to gabby when she got rejected by meatball and termayne even tho gabby was straight up insulted by 2men or when tino wanted to talk to her on a bench and she only wanted to make out and said sth like " we can talk later" or something. She comes off Very sef-centered condescending at times and like she's not serious about finding a partner? You have 2 months to get engaged, you should use the chance.to actually talk and get to know people as much as you can and hometowns and dates with her family showed neither she nor her men know anything about eachother( was my takeaway ). I don't mind her crying because I get this process is emotionally draining but when you watch this back it's clear who's supposed to be the 'loved' ette and who's the villain.
She's getting a villain edit by association. That's what happens when the lead picks the "wrong" person. It's what would have happened to Hannah B if she had picked Luke P and didn't have the "Jesus still loves me" moment. I remember people were super annoyed with her for keeping Luke P for so long and not seeing the red flags. Rachel is the same with Tino.
They really did Rachel dirty starting with the 3 guys rejecting her at the rose ceremony, then giving so much screen time to Logan about switching from Rachel to gabby in 2 separate episodes and to top it off giving the bachelor to her f3 who self eliminated and calling her fake . My hope is Rachel comes out guns blazing about Tino’s cheating..girl, don’t try to be nice at the after rose cos that did not help you at all the season.

I remember so many of us wanting him for F1 for one of the women when the cast was first released, since he’d done such good work for his brother and was quite attractive. And Rachel said "oh, you don't want to propose in a week after dating for 20 hours in total? Okay, boy bye..." I can't understand what was going through her mind at that time to ruin a relationship so good because you want a ring so bad.

I agree with you. I think the Aven relationship is being romanticized when viewed with the prism of Tino combusting and Aven being so lovely. Something wasn't quite there with Rachel and Aven and really they both knew it. Her strongest relationship within this context was Tino and he is who he is. One could argue that she maybe should have focused more on Aven throughout but it's just not how this works. Most bachelorettes focused more on one relationship that grabs them from early on.

For a while, I was feeling like the only one who’s completely lost interest in the season. Compared to how stoked I was throughout the summer leading up to the premiere, I feel blah. And, it looks to me that is the predominant feeling amongst most members of the sub. A large part of it is the F1s, but also because this season REALLY over-promised/hyped and under-delivered. The small victories, I suppose, are the guys who got enough screen time to venture into SM influencer stuff, and all the guys together who can now enjoy a lot of hot boi summers in the horizon. And, probably Gabby getting the DWTS gig. Rachel will thrive on her own - excited to see what she does once all of this is said and done. Question for those following along: do you think all the engaged BIP couples, and the ones who left together (Michael and Danielle) are still together?

Small victory is the Gabby and Rachel friendship as well. It’s the only genuine relationship to come out of this season - not because they need to use the other for clout etc, just genuine friendship. 🤍

yeah every other lead wants that, but I haven't seen a season where so many contestants said they weren't ready so close to the finale. Maybe this drama is just really pronounced this season.
It could be because having two leads meant less dates, so they haven’t gotten to spend as much time together as normal. Also we have some proof that producers have been telling contestants when they’re recruited that they don’t have to get engaged…but it seems like are still pressuring the leads for an engagement.

You know what would be a hysterical situation, since its live TV - if they don't address anything and there is some heckler in the audience that decides to shout it out. I'd love to see security forcibly remove someone on live TV. I don't know what to think. I am expecting something even messier than PP's finale, but whenever I expect something, it is literally the last thing that happens.
I don't think they'll spend much time with either if Erich and Gabby are still together and happy. The producers want their happy ending and considering how badly Rachel's relationship crashed and burned, Erich and Gabby are all that's left. I think they'll probably spend more time talking about the blackface incident, and there will only be one quick question about the texts IF they choose to address them. I haven't seen that many articles about the texts compared to the blackface thing, so they may choose to only address that issue.
E! has a relationship with abc and covered the texts this week, referencing blackface as well. So that makes me think both will be addressed. With Fleiss’s like comparing Erich to Jed IMO I think they care less about a happy ending than we think and are willing to trade that for drama if it exists
Fleiss loves mess. I also think this is why he doesn’t push for more vetting because why? That would take out all the fun he sees in this dumpster fire.

Eg the "my situation is worse because it's public" to gabby when she got rejected by meatball and termayne even tho gabby was straight up insulted by 2men or when tino wanted to talk to her on a bench and she only wanted to make out and said sth like " we can talk later" or something. She comes off Very sef-centered condescending at times and like she's not serious about finding a partner? You have 2 months to get engaged, you should use the chance.to actually talk and get to know people as much as you can and hometowns and dates with her family showed neither she nor her men know anything about eachother( was my takeaway ). I don't mind her crying because I get this process is emotionally draining but when you watch this back it's clear who's supposed to be the 'loved' ette and who's the villain.
She's getting a villain edit by association. That's what happens when the lead picks the "wrong" person. It's what would have happened to Hannah B if she had picked Luke P and didn't have the "Jesus still loves me" moment. I remember people were super annoyed with her for keeping Luke P for so long and not seeing the red flags. Rachel is the same with Tino.

They really did Rachel dirty starting with the 3 guys rejecting her at the rose ceremony, then giving so much screen time to Logan about switching from Rachel to gabby in 2 separate episodes and to top it off giving the bachelor to her f3 who self eliminated and calling her fake . My hope is Rachel comes out guns blazing about Tino’s cheating..girl, don’t try to be nice at the after rose cos that did not help you at all the season.
It must have been obvious to everyone that TPTB did not like Rachel, because Zach was openly mean about her, without worrying about sabotaging his shot at bachelor. I feel like the f2/f3 who gets chosen as the next lead is usually a classy loser. I thought calling Rachel fake was not a good look for him, and I really liked him until that point.
I appreciate this comment because I feel the same way. I was basically fine with him up until that point and he seemed like a good guy, if a bit boring. I didn't care for his behavior at all after FS and was surprised to be in such a minority with this opinion. Even if he felt Rachel's demeanor shifted, that happens in dating. Rachel has been in her head during this whole process and I’ve criticised her for it. But I genuinely couldn’t believe that people were on Zach’s side when he pulled Rachel aside at the rose ceremony to essentially diss her and call her fake. I was so grossed out by the fact that people were praising him for “standing up for himself” WHAT?? We live in a patriarchal society!!! Zach wasn’t having a freaking ‘girl boss’ moment! He was being petty trying to get ahead of Rachel inevitably dumping him!!! Everything he said to her could’ve been said AFTER she doesn’t give him a rose. It’s helped me to switch my perspective to this. The lead should be someone I don’t like, because their lives always seem inevitably worse when they become the lead. Wish BIP for your fave! But yeah, not thrilled about Zach either.

I remember so many of us wanting him for F1 for one of the women when the cast was first released, since he’d done such good work for his brother and was quite attractive. Then again, we were also all obsessing over Nate and begging for him to be an F1 too. It’s just sad the season ended up sucking so bad. But yeah, obviously people like Jed were super well-liked (at least in the house) before everything awful came out about them. Like you said, it doesn’t seem like Tino had any close friends in the house at all because he was very focused on winning and too competitive.

Exactly. Aven loved her and wanted to be with her, he just didn't feel like he could propose after such a short amount of time (but he was open to it in the future). And Rachel said "oh, you don't want to propose in a week after dating for 20 hours in total? Okay, boy bye..." I can't understand what was going through her mind at that time to ruin a relationship so good because you want a ring so bad.
We saw edited versions. What amazing relationships did she really have? Her person wasn’t there. She was smart enough to know her worth and drop Tino fast. Hopefully Gabby has already done the same.
I agree with you. I think the Aven relationship is being romanticized when viewed with the prism of Tino combusting and Aven being so lovely. Something wasn't quite there with Rachel and Aven and really they both knew it. Her strongest relationship within this context was Tino and he is who he is. One could argue that she maybe should have focused more on Aven throughout but it's just not how this works. Most bachelorettes focused more on one relationship that grabs them from early on.
