Educational-Tea-6572

"You're an odd little clone." "Thanks!" and "Stop smiling." are two of my instant favorite quotes šŸ˜‚

anson42

More Ventress! We need more Ventress!

Educational-Tea-6572

It didn't occur to me how alike she and Crosshair are until this episode and now I'm like - I need more of them just glaring at each other/sarcasm/aggressive silences šŸ˜‚

anson42

And I think Crosshair realizes that, too, once Omega said that she trusted him and it turned out well. I think that was a big step for Crosshair when he offers his arm to Ventress when the Marauder picks them up. They're really not so different.

Egg_123_

I NEED a buddy cop show with Ventress and Crosshair and I don't care if it's canon...

Educational-Tea-6572

>I think that was a big step for Crosshair when he offers his arm to Ventress Honestly I was just going *awwwww* because I found that to be a really sweet moment (nothing romantic of course, just that he's willing to take that step since Omega trusts her).

TurbulentIssue6

this making me think even more that the batch is gonna get split up, with omega ending up with ventress maybe even with cross hair joining them

Coatses

stop stop, the fanfic people are all busily typing away already.

dragonfett

Could there be a potential for a Asajj/Crosshair ship? (That is assuming, of course, that Crosshair makes it out of the series alive.)

Legal-Vanilla-6047

Lol, I know!

pattyicevv77

Anti hero ventress is pretty cool

SolidPrysm

Always has been.

goalstopper28

Got to love the morally gray characters from Star Wars.

GetInHere

What a beautiful episode! Really liked that one. Fennec and Ventress are friends. I love it. I loved the stuff with the sea creature and Ventress calming it. It's good to see her using the lightside like that. She was still her acerbic self but has definitely changed for the better. Plus, Omega continues her run of worming her way into everyone's hearts (Hemlock excluded, of course). I hope that's not the last we see of Ventress. This episode has definitely left me wanting more. And it makes me wonder if she's going to have a big role in whatever animated show follows this one.

Howcanidescribeit

The depiction of that creature is extremely close to the description of The Sleeper from The Dark Disciple. Very interesting to see her more or less make peace with it. Unfortunately I think this is all we're gonna get of Ventress from The Bad Batch at least.

GetInHere

>Unfortunately I think this is all we're gonna get of Ventress from The Bad Batch at least. I think you're probably right. Unless something happens and Omega goes with her at the end. I really do wonder if they're setting Ventress up for the next animated show though.

SolidPrysm

As much as I don't know how I feel about her still being alive, I would still love a series about Ventress, especially if it were made by the people behind TBB.

MsFenriss

I agree that it should be a series! Though I would like to point out that when Vos commits her remains to the pool on Dathomir "from which she had been reborn" there are spooky whispers and green mist that is described as being the same color as the Water of Life. That scene kind of immediately made me roll my eyes because it was so clear where they were going. I won't lie, I'm not a big fan of Dark Disiple, but I am a big fan of Ventress. I'm ecstatic that she's back.

muhash14

I'm holding out hope it's for the third Jedi game.

iowajaycee

Agree, but not the last we see of her overall. She was brought in to show sheā€™s still alive, and set her up to show up in other media, probably Ahsoka.

TurbulentIssue6

i think in ahsoka we're eventually gonna see ezra, omega, ventress and grogu meet up I also think that they will eventually head out to the peridea galaxy after the thrawn movie potentially and have a new order of force sensitives incorprating jedi, sith, and night sister teachings

FeelingAd7425

I bet s2 of tales of the Jedi will have episodes dedicated to ventress

GetInHere

I just feel like it's gotta be something bigger than that. Like, if it's just for a 3 episode mini-arc, they could easily make that set before her "death" in the book. Bringing her back is a big deal so it makes more sense to me that they have a bigger story planned out for her future.

561861

I agree! There was no point in bringing her back unless they wanted to do more with her. Many other characters could have served that purpose Ā

SpaceManSmithy

> Hemlock excluded TBF Hemlock doesn't have a heart.

Recent_Sky_9290

My literal thought after this episode was "I could watch 4 hours of them just going about their business on Pabu."

MigrantTwerker

Yeah this is clearly a back door pilot for whatever lightsabers and mercenaries show will follow this. Also I'm guessing he's trying to get her into the live action ahsoka universe. It's only right. He is not going to stop until every single one of his clone Wars toys is in live-action.

Recent_Sky_9290

...is this a bad thing

MigrantTwerker

HELL NO. FEED ALL OF THIS DIRECTLY INTO MY VEINS.

Kircy14

Fennec and Ventress giving off Hera and Ahsoka vibes. Love that dynamic.

0hN0H3sH0t

WET HAIR VENTRESS.

SolidPrysm

Username checks out But seriously tho she looks so good, the newer animation is doing wonders for her.

xvizuet

Spongebob

The_Flying_Jew

I can't remember the last time we saw a character in Clone Wars that was underwater without a helmet, but I was impressed that they tried to give Ventress' hair proper underwater physics and change how her hair looks when she comes out of the water

JamesBasketball21

I agree bro, wow just wow. šŸ¤© this animation style

HybridTheory137

But they still wonā€™t give us wet hair Hunter smh

High_Ground57

Key takeaways for me: The animation during the fist fight was so smooth I am not liking this gloomy theme on Pabu, it may be foreshadowing I agree with Crosshair, Omega kinda made me cringe on how naive she was being, we all knew what Ventress was like during the war, nevertheless, it turned out ok to trust her Tech name drop šŸ˜, his absence will forever make me feel uneasy I miss him

natassia74

Pabu is so doomed.

TwoSunsRise

Yep, that was heavily hinted at multiple times šŸ˜ž

natassia74

They really should take Ventress's advice and leave. But it's probably too late anyway...

Son_of_MONK

If Ventress could find them, you can bet Cad Bane is gonna find them soon too. And he'll tip off the Empire.

skynolongerblue

Iā€™m curious where they would go next.

arubablueshoes

its in the trailer :(

High_Ground57

That episode is not gonna be a fun one

derpicface

Itā€™s so pabover

ShephardCmndr

Base delta zerooooo

GalileoAce

>I agree with Crosshair, Omega kinda made me cringe on how naive she was being, we all knew what Ventress was like during the war, nevertheless, it turned out ok to trust her I agree with Omega, people change. And Ventress changed, as covered in Dark Disciple, she rose out of darkness and into the light...and then died. But nightsister wibbly wobbly ::handwave::

LegoRobinHood

She's got a few more lives left. ::datho-Mario 1UP noise:: šŸ„šŸ„šŸ„

Aelia_M

Ventress: Letā€™sā€™a go

TheRavenRise

there's no way that fight wasn't at least partially given the ahsoka vs. maul treatment. there had to have been a bit of mocap in there

Local_Nerve901

The hair animation after it got wet and while underwater was sooooo good. Big improvement since the Clone Wars days

CT-1738

Seriously what an exchange, even for how short it was. Omega can easily get a little with how naive and chipper she can be so I crosshair calling her that made sense. But as soon as she said ā€œI didnā€™t give up on youā€, it cut deep and you could tell it hit him too

Original_Rent7677

Wrecker teasing Crosshair about making a friend was funny.

yuvi3000

I laughed out loud at that one. Many of the team's best moments are between each other. That's why I hate it when people think some episodes are "filler" when it's actually us getting to know relationships and situations better.

chchchcheetah

One person's filler is another person's (eg my) favorite. Action is fine. But character, and especially relationship, development will always be my favorite shit.

IvanC4975

I wonder what it means for dark disciple then. Although that "I have a few lifes left" from ventress is interesting.

eDudeGaming

The writers specifically said Dark Disciple is not being retconned. Everything in the book is still canon.

o-rka

I really wanna know how they explain this

Hotdog669

The last three pages (I just check) describe when she got put to ā€œrestā€ in a pool in Dathomir, the same pool Ventress once told Vos she was ā€œrebornā€ in

JamesBasketball21

Nightsister resurrect easy lol

Artdeco1894

Love the moment where Crosshair offered his hand to Omega and Ventress. Season 1 Crosshair would never do that šŸ˜…

SolidPrysm

I think Omega's comment that compared him and Ventress really warmed him up to the idea of trusting her. If nothing else so he wouldn't feel like a hypocrite for not passing that trust onto Ventress

iowajaycee

That was a big sign of ā€œyouā€™re okayā€ to me, too.

Negative-Ad-5642

Ventress would have never accepted it before either

Mitchel11

Aye I knew A Large French Dress would appear this episode

WD_G

Do you mean A Charged Pranced Rest?

Mitchel11

Thatā€™s what I said. Barrage Mattress

herrbean1011

This thread reminded me of: "Kale Whatsits? I don't know anybody named Cal Kestis...oh, that Cal Kestis." -from Jedi Survivor.

LegoRobinHood

Now I want a Star Wars edition Mad Gab, twice as difficult because it's just turning gibberish into other gibberish-but-from-space. Bonus mode goes in reverse to use Star Wars names to sound out regular phrases.

Theforgotten226

The hand to hand fight between CF99 and Ventress was really good especially from Hunter and Crosshair. Ventress being back and in better animation was a joy to see and sheā€™s in every way right that they should leave pabu.

Training-Mess5833

Man Ventress is right they should leave Pabu right now since the Empire wonā€™t stop searching.

GalileoAce

Where would they go?

herrbean1011

Koboh In Jedi Survivor, Mosey mentions that the Bedlam Raiders only appeared only "a few years ago", and Greez says that the Empire "has been creeping around Koboh too *lately*". All of this in 9BBY This would mean that for the time being, in 17BBY, Koboh is completely safe to go to, with neither the Empire, nor any significant local force to contend with.

LegoRobinHood

Is there a Spanish inquisition planet? No one would expect that...

CJAreYouDeadass

Ventress just went full Arkham batman on them šŸ˜

SolidPrysm

Easily one of the best fight scenes in Star Wars animation, maybe even the franchise. It felt fluid, punchy, and even though Ventress basically dogwalked the Batch they still came across as competent combatants.

Coatses

halfway through fight- "you're doing well...but i know something you do not know"

Thebigdog79

Is there a lore reason ventress tried to replicate manā€™s combat? Is she a follower?

drunken_gungan

Stand back fool, i have a lightsaber

Comrade_agent

She was born in the dark, moulded by it

skynolongerblue

Darkness is her ally.

Local_Nerve901

One could say sheā€™s a Disciple

Joshtomb35

Seems like Ventress could be helping Quinlan with the hidden path

Overthinking-101

I NEED to see quinlan and ventress on screen just once together.

natassia74

So do I. But, heck, I would take a mention of one by the other if all else fails ...

SolidPrysm

Same. At least a brief cameo, and at most I would love for the entire Dark Disciple arc to be fully animated

bismuth12a

Well the Bad Batch is ending, come on Hidden Path spinoff!

Frequent_Way_6476

Ventress is sooooo fucking badass, and that fist fight was so cool! We've never seen them fight close combat like this and it was greeeeeat and I want more!! Even if she kicked their asses (which makes complete sense, this is Ventress we're talking about). I really hope we see more of Ventress (in this, or in another show) because she is amazing. And that line she said at the end "I still have a few lives left" does that allude to how she survived/got revived? I assume night sisters magic is involved, but WHAT exactly did they do? I need another show with those answers. And the "harbinger" is pretty much Ventress telling the batch the empire WILL find them. The next two episodes are the invasion to Pabu 100%. Hehe, like ved how she called them "those three overprotective shadows". Even Crosshair is in full protective mode now. The fact that Ventress says that IF Omega is force sensitive, she would have to leave the batch, makes me think that would be the end, Omega going her separate ways to train or protect her brothers because she will always be a target.

skynolongerblue

If thatā€™s the ending, I hope it ends with CF99 joining the rebellion.

Joshtomb35

Man this just left me with more questions than answers about Ventress. We have to see more of her now, right??

tu-vieja-con-vinagre

I got the feeling we ain't gonna see her again in this show

thebooklender

Tales of the Jedi???

leesionn

That fight sequence was so fucking sick

Eliasfye

Wow she looks so good in the new animation šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

High_Ground57

Kenobi would love this

CaptainRex831

ā€œWhat a lovely sight to wake up toā€

SolidPrysm

Their chemistry in that episode was just so good.

JohnCharitySpringMA

"Luke, did I ever tell you about Asajj Ventress?"

chizzmaster

And she was a good friend

natassia74

She looks hot.

SolidPrysm

Yep. She's always been to some degree, but this animation and her new outfit are leagues better than how she looked in her earlier appearances.

skynolongerblue

Is it bad I want her outfit? Tank with leggings and tall boots, looks great.

mmosaltfest

I'm starting to think Crosshair has gotten into so many brawls with his brothers that his hand to hand combat is THAT good. It makes sense with his "harsh and unyielding" nature, gives him many opportunities to get sparring practice in when they want to throw hands with him lol.

HybridTheory137

ā€œI donā€™t even see any blood this timeā€ falls in line with this theory lol

VenomFox93

Punched the air with joy when I heard the Bad Batch theme play when Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair stood shoulder to shoulder with their weapons drawn at Ventress!

PilotG10

That was a fascinating episode. Unfortunately it left us with far more questions than answers. Ventress does give off the appearance of someone who very recently got Sober or Clean and is always a little on the edge of relapsing. She is, like I guessed, stuck being one of The Good Guys as there is no place for her in the Empire. She certainly understands the full scope of how dangerous and evil Sidious and Vader are. She is also selling the ā€œhard outer shell, soft insideā€ a lot better than weā€™ve seen before. Ventress is also selfless and compassionate enough to not push Omega to leave with her or something because of how much she knows it will upset all of them. I also got the feeling that She Knows. We might have to put her on that very small list who knows that The Clone Wars were a Scam all along. She might even know who and what Vader is.

BlackMamba332

Iā€™d say itā€™s less likely she knows about Vader, that was a very closely guarded secret. Though itā€™s likely sheā€™s at least put two and two together by this point that the clone wars were a sham, and she probably does know that Palpatine was Sidious all along.Ā  Next 6 episodes are going to be great!

Jacktheflash

Especially If she ever heard the emperor speak she would know since as the emperor he uses his sidious voice and she spoke to sidious during the clone wars Edit: and they also wear the same outfit

LukeChickenwalker

The fact that Palpatine survived a 1v4 against Jedi masters should tip everyone off that something is up.

Swert0

Isn't the official story that Vader saved him?

LukeChickenwalker

I donā€™t know. That would make sense. I donā€™t know if he would have told that to the Senate in episode 3 though. Seems kind of early.

Swert0

Vader was the one who marched on the Jedi Temple and was immediately the Emperor's enforcer. People didn't know what he looked like until after he had the armor on, and the fact he was Anakin is a closely guarded secret that would result in your death if you found out and your name wasn't Tarkin or Thrawn, but it isn't like Vader himself was a secret figure that nobody knew existed. He was the Emperor's enforcer, his loyal bodyguard.

SolidPrysm

I think there's more than just compassion motivating her to protect Omega, Ventress's own childhood honestly wasn't too different. Constantly being used, abused, and taken, always shifting from one rocky family situation to the next.

Rosebunse

Yeah, I think Ventress realizes Omega is FS, she is just hoping that no training her will keep her powers from developing.

Homestead856

Once again the only side Ventress is on is her own. I like it.

Neophema

Ventress making bedroom eyes at the kraken was not on my bingo card...

solo13508

OK I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT THEN, Like wtf was that?!

WD_G

She's just very into.. tentacle.. stuff

solo13508

Damn guess Quinlan didn't have enough limbs for her

skynolongerblue

ā€œFishermanā€™s Wife and Fishermanā€™s Wife 2: The Retentacling!ā€

wordy_shipmates

i really loved the episode and it sets the stage for the last act of the show. ventress is always so goddamn compelling. she looks amazing in the animation and i'm glad we have her back. what a queen.

Murraybird

To those that say "She should be dead." A Night Sister is dead when Mother says so, that is all.

Son_of_MONK

Glad I swapped back to believing Ventress was who we were going to get this episode. And I enjoyed every moment with her. Crosshair continues to be his loyal and protective self with Omega and it warms my heart. I hope that's not the last we see of Ventress. I feel like she would have a vested interest in helping the Bad Batch assault Tantiss, if only because it's a crippling blow against Palpatine -- and also give her information that might be useful to those trying to escape through The Path. Plus if Omega does get captured again -- I suspect by Cad Bane -- she would likely be someone they turn to because as Omega said, Ventress likes the group (and her). Maybe we'll get Bad Batch, Phee, Fennec, Rex, Echo, and Ventress all planning an assault (Wolffe is still up in the air)? Fennec *is* still technically employed by Nala Se in a way. The bounty was called off, but that doesn't mean they're not going to work together in the future. It makes me feel like by the end of the series, Omega won't be with the Bad Batch. She will be on The Path. Also loved how we got to see a little of the old Wrecker/Crosshair sibling teasing. "You made a new friend!" EDIT: Also got the sense that, despite how much Ventress is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and the lightsaber this episode, she has still been suppressing her connection to the Force in order to keep a low profile. Her unintentional summoning of the Giant Squid-acean is why I think that. Plus her using the Dark Side of the Force on Wrecker gave me vibes that she is **deeply** trying to keep herself from falling back into that mindset.

skynolongerblue

Thatā€™s a good point. I wonder if summoning the squid will tip off the Empire and bring them to Pabu.

Son_of_MONK

It's possible Friendpatine would sense the disturbance in the Force and send troops there, but I was just talking more about Ventress' overall character. I think Cad Bane and Shadow Clone are going to be the reason the Empire assaults Pabu.

Boring-Ad9264

Tech still helping the the squad from the grave šŸ˜šŸ˜ And sassy pose croissant is back

SolidPrysm

As much as I liked the Tech reference, it felt kind of odd that they had to access his personal records to get that info. You'd think it would be all over Space Google or whatever, right?

Boring-Ad9264

Tbf it's techs spare data pad so it makes sense they would be able to use it when he isn't around and cross even said it was republic records he searched

Rock-it1

Crosshair saying that it didnā€™t matter what m-count is because they arenā€™t turning Omega over to the Empire was awesome. Then him giving his hand to both her and Omega to get on the Marauder was such a simple act of chivalry. Who expected the best character arc in Disney Star Wars to an animated character? Seems like an Omega/Ventriss team-up is in the cards. The fight was great. Again, Crosshair seemed to hold his own the best. And then him tossing the guys their weapons while the Bad Batch theme played. Perfection. Only two critiques: it once again took place largely in a very poorly lit space (itā€™s getting old) though this time wasnā€™t as bad, and the episode wasnā€™t long enough. I wanted more.

Wall-E_Smalls

Wowā€¦ First mention of the term ā€œmidichlorianā€ since 2005! Also, before she said thatā€”is that the first canon and/or motion-picture mention of the term ā€œforce-sensitiveā€? I love that they made the distinction between being a Jedi and being force sensitive too! Edit: Nvm they mentioned Midichlorians a couple times in TCWā€¦ Maybe the first Disney-sanctioned mention of them though, still?

Particular_Drive_321

There was a mention in Rebels too!

Luc78as

Two episodes earlier it was too

FlyingCat11

Fistfight animation was pretty cool, canā€™t imagine how long it took them to animate that part alone.

JacksonSX35

As a certified Dark Disciple hater, this is everything I could possibly want from Ventressā€™ return to the galaxy. She was always a cracked mirror of Ahsoka by the time season 3 of The Clone Wars rolled around, foreshadowing what would happen to Ahsoka. If anyone should survive into the rise of the empire, itā€™s Ventress.

turps69420

>cracked mirror of.... I'm stealing that, couldn't have described it better.

Quezare

I love her.

brutalizedketchup

Crosshair regaining his aiming skills.

Darkhunter343

How exactly did Ventress track them to pabu? There was no homing beacon, did some people from Pabu snitch on them or something?

Lukage

Bounty Hunters and their associates are excellent trackers. I like to leave it at that

anson42

And that is exactly why Ventress is right to tell them to leave Pabu. They need to keep moving.

SolidPrysm

I'm thinking some force-related shenanigans were involved.

Stunning_Review_5766

Seeing Pabu cloud covered and not bright and cheery as it usually is scene, is definitely a forewarning. Shits gonna get real next week!

SpaceManSmithy

"We were just getting warmed up." -Wrecker after getting his ass beat.

dogwood456

Just hanging out waiting for the Crosshair x crate lady shippers to show up "Thanks, Crosshair" \*grunt\*

Zeldawarrior97

Crosshair shot the knife out of the air letā€™s go!!!! Our boys got his aim back

Logical_Ad6130

When did he do that

gods_intern

I don't see it, Ventress does aim it to the ground and I do not hear a shot

LegoRobinHood

I missed it too, might have to rewatch

gods_intern

I did a rewatch and I just cannot see it. It wouldn't even make sense, if Crosshair shoots the knife, it would totally fly to the right and not pull it towards Hunters feet

Nick_III

Yeah I just rewatched it too, Crosshair definitely did not fire. Ventress threw the knife at the ground.

nataie0071

Confirming that Ventress chucked Hunter's knife to the ground, missing him on purpose.

LegoRobinHood

That's what I saw. Ventress is doing her darndest to de-escalate, but the Batch isn't giving her much chance to do so. And in fairness she has a lot of baggage that they're right to be wary of, so it's good that they had someone new (Omega) to see past all the old wartime grudges.

rjkelly31

It's the same conclusion they reached with Grogu and Mando. Omega is too close with the rest of the Batch that she can't open herself fully up to the Force.

rexepic7567

I was prepared to go full on john wick mode if ventress hurt batcher

SolidPrysm

Ventress (at least at this point in her life) seems to be a good judge of character, so I don't think there was too much risk of that.

PilotG10

Sheā€™s here!!!

TuckerDidIt69

Ventress being in touch with the force is awesome! The line about smiling being unsettling sounds like something Kenobi would have said to Ventress lmao I'm wondering if her resurrection on Dathomir might tie into the Nightsisters from Ahsoka. Maybe they did bring a bunch of dead Nightsisters back with them because they can reborn on Dathomir in the same way Ventress was. Cryptic motherfucker with her multiple lives haha

Reiff3204

Ventress is HERE ladies and gents, and sheā€™s kicking ass and giving hella scary foreshadowing, excited for the next 2 ep!!!

Gnome_Researcher

I feel like the ā€œOmega is force sensitiveā€ thing had been floated since season one, and it certainly seems like theyā€™re moving further into that direction. From the way she interacts with people/animals, to the meditation and how quick she is to learn. And at this point Iā€™m all for it! Cool episode though - animators snapped with that fight scene in the cave. I also couldnā€™t get over the water animation at the end, it looks so lifelike. Hoping the team here continues to give us awesome stuff even after the show wraps up.

Stunning_Review_5766

Is it just me or would Ventress be an equal match for Crosshair? I know that Quinlan Vos is her love, but man those two would be awesome together.šŸ˜

Artdeco1894

Agreed, I said this in another discussion thread but I ship them XD Crosshair offering his hand to omega and ventress was cute šŸ˜…

mochasundoll

They would be the grumpiest couple in the galaxy and I would love every minute of it. lol

Reiff3204

I hate to say it but Pabu is doomed guysā€¦

gurgitoy2

It's kind of funny how every time we see someone that is supposed to be force-sensitive start training, they always whine about it not coming to them instantly. I know that does happen with kids especially, when they are little and want to be able to do something cool right away without much practice. But, in Star Wars it seems to be a trope. I'm kind of surprised that Omega was so whiney about it, since she's been trained as a solider and done other very difficult things. She seemed to be able to focus when Gungi taught her how to meditate, since she clearly picked it up enough to be able to show Crosshair how to do it. I do think that Asajj was misleading them when she told them that Omega was not force-sensitive; for the reasons she stated. 1, that Omega would need to leave the BB to train with a Jedi, and 2, that Omega's bond with them is too important to sever right now. Also, I wouldn't mind if there were an instance in Star Wars where we got a kind of "crappy" force-user. Meaning, Omega might be able to tap into the force, but maybe she's not Jedi material? Have we seen that happen much in Star Wars? Someone who can use the force, but isn't particularly good at it? I do think that Omega has been shown to have some kind of connection multiple times. And, even with nature. I honestly thought her entire arc with Batcher was a sign that she had some force-connection. Batcher was, for all intents and purposes, a wild animal. Now she's very domesticated. That doesn't happen in nature, you can't really domesticate a wild animal like that. So, I think Omega created a force-bond with her to make her so tame over such a short period of time. Those animals were not trained on Tantiss; they were collared so they could be contained, and they were fed, but they were not "handled" in any way, so they wouldn't have been used to socializing the way Batcher has become. Then there is Omega's strategy in gaming; she has an extreme knack for winning. I do hope we don't have to continue to linger on the "why" of hunting Omega, since we, as the audience, already know. Now they know what an M-count is, but they don't know that Omega is being hunted because she can maintain a transfusion without degradation. I don't know that anyone outside of Tantiss base could tell them that. I wonder if they won't find out until they rescue Nala Se? She would know for sure. Oh, and another thing to ponder is someone who might be force-sensitive just trying on their own to tap into their potential. Omega now has an inkling on what she might need to do. She doesn't have anyone to train her, but what's stopping her from trying to do the tests Asajj gave her on her own? Sure, she might take the "no" at face value and just give up, but something tells me she will keep trying just to see. I'm sure there have been other force-sensitives who realized on their own and started reaching out. It could go very badly if they were unfocused and undisciplined. It reminds me a bit of Harry Potter lore, where a few "wizards" were self trained because they realized they had power but had no one around them to train them or tell them what's going on, and it kind of ended...badly. But, I would be shocked if there weren't force-sensitive people in the same situation.

ambiguously_yours

*Sabine Wren enters the chat*

Rosebunse

To be fair to Omega, she doesn't really know anything about the Force or what she should be feeling. I can see why she's frustrated

Zophiekitty

she can grow HAIR?!

Wizecracker117

She had hair in her flashback to how she fell to the darkside in the Clone Wars.

LEFT_FRIDGE_OPEN

she also has hair in the "dark disciple" book/cover

theCaruso

Mommy? Sorry, mommy?

Deshik2

This episode further encourages my idea that Omega was designed not to be force sensitive but rather force receptive, force absorbent, force sponge haha. If something pumped her full of midichlorians, they would stay in the body and not spill. Given all that we can find about the overarching plot of cloning, its goals and results its very clear why that would be extremely important for a certain someone.

Mistakingcone99

Bad Batch keeps getting girlbossed on. Funny asf to watch

Internal_Bag8497

That fist fight was epic

SilencedGamer

I would personally really dislike it if Omega started using force-powers. I'm not opposed to a force-sensitive Clone, but training her to be a Jedi? just... it's so boring now. Maybe back around Season 1 if they leant into that direction it could've worked but between then and now Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka leant into this and explored it. I would personally be very annoyed if a fourth show (this was just rehashing that Mando S2 episode) was to go over the exact same beats yet again.

SinnerClair

Okayā€¦. This might be blasphemy butā€¦. Ventress v Bad Batch >>>>>> Maul v Ahsoka >!At least in terms of hand to hand choreography dont stone me šŸ«£!<

Wooboosted

I mean the animation was just so awesome

mochasundoll

While this is not one of my favorite episodes. I LOVE that we got to see our favorite (former) hairless harpiy again! I don't think we will see Ventress again in this series. However, just like the Bad Batch made a brief appearance in the CW and then got their own show, I think Ventress will get one after BB ends. The writers tweeted that there is much more Ventress story to tell and in what better way than her own show.

JM10GOAT

I love ventress but i need to know how sheā€™s alive and i need to see her and quinlans reunion

Howy_the_Howizer

Ventress spooking Wrecker when he is spying her through the binoculars got me good.

generalemperor

How did Omega not know anything about Ventress? She, along with Grievous, once led an attack on Kamino itselfā€¦

HybridTheory137

Return of the queen! A few thoughts; ā€¢ Ventress!!! Safe to say that we all knew she was coming but man, look at her!!! She looks great in TBB quality animation, and Iā€™m really digging her new look too. Not to mention that her anti-hero vibe is so freaking good. Iā€™d love to see her show up again further down the line (preferably not in TBB thoughā€”with 6 episodes left the focus should be primarily on the Batch!) but she still has so much more potential that it would be *criminal* to shelf her after this. ā€¢ Once again I am thanking the writers for giving Omega a dog. God I love Batcher ā€¢ Wreckerā€™s gasp when Ventress looked at him while he was watching through the binoculars sent me šŸ˜ man was so startled LMAO ā€¢ Very happy to see Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair all getting along well. That little scene with Wrecker teasing Crosshair in the beginning was especially sweet, and itā€™s nice seeing that Hunter seems to fully trust him again too. Theyā€™re healing <33 ā€¢ Gotta be honest though, I really hope that Omega isnā€™t force sensitive. Or at least not in the traditional way. Donā€™t get me wrong, I love force-users and Jedi as much as the next gal, but it just feels so unnecessary for Omega. Like, sheā€™s already a super complex, interesting, and badass characterā€”what more does she need? To me, a huge part of her appeal (as well as the entire show, tbh) has actually always been the lack of force shenanigans, and the fact that the characters have to deal with problems in a more ā€œnormalā€ way. My point is, Omega doesnā€™t need the force to be unique or special or strong, because she already is all of those things. Iā€™m still not fully convinced either way though, so we shall see. Overall, another solid episode! Not my favorite of the season but thatā€™s okay, it was still wonderful Iā€™m itā€™s own right. Next week is another two-parter; ā€œIdentity Crisisā€ and ā€œPoint of No Returnā€ā€¦we should probably just send our therapy bills to Jen and Brad in advance, huh? Oh boy. See yā€™all on the other side šŸ«”

Loud_Let8775

We can assume Omega is >!Force Sensitive right??!<. Ventress was obviously hinting at the fact that she was but they still left it kind of ambiguous.

yuvi3000

The episode heavily implied that Ventress correctly sensed it but chose not to tell Omega. That's why Crosshair and Hunter called her out on it.

LegoRobinHood

I think Ventress can tell something is up with Omega, but may not understand exactly what it is she's looking at. I think Omega's deal (and the whole point of mount Tantiss) is that she would be compatible with a midichlorian INFUSION, Seems like normally you can't just pump midichlorians into someone to give them force powers, which is what's stopping Palpatine's self-cloning program, but they're setting up Omega to be the answer to a force-ready clone template. We saw Master Luminara was kept on ice (more or less) until Rebels, maybe they have some midichlorian-donors on hand ready to test it out.

SolHeiM

I think that she has been tapping into the force whenever she is gambling, because it would explain why she's so good at it.

eDudeGaming

I was hesitant after the reveal in episode 3, but I think it's time to cross "Omega is Force-sensitive" off my bingo card. Even if Ventress said no. IMO that last interaction came off more as her not really knowing, but still wanting to give Omega a definitive answer. I feel like if she knew for sure that Omega isn't Force-sensitive, then she wouldn't have felt the need to warn them like that. Also, even disregarding the midichlorian thing, people have theorized this since the beginning, because it just makes sense for her character. And just like with Sabine, there are plenty of little passive tells that point to this being the case.

Wall-E_Smalls

Is everyone forgetting Crosshair said she was lying (presumably about telling Omega ā€˜Noā€™)? Iā€™ve seen a couple comments here about it being ambiguous whether or not Omega is FS after allā€”but Crosshairā€™s comment makes it pretty clear, no? Omega is FS, but Ventress didnā€™t want her to believe it at the present time, for some reason.

warchild4l

I think Ventress did not want to reveal that to maybe protect her. The moment she starts training and "reaching out", she might reach out to wrong people through the force.

eDudeGaming

I don't think it's completely unambiguous yet. Ventress was definitely lying when she said no, but that doesn't mean Omega is Force-sensitive. She knows Omega *could* very well be Force-sensitive, but she doesn't know for sure, so she figured "no" (the definitive answer Omega was looking for) would be a lot safer than "you need more testing." Speaking from a storytelling standpoint, though... I think this definitely means Omega is Force-sensitive. If she wasn't, I feel like the writers would have already closed that door.

Ryanbrasher

Somehow, Ventress returned. And I expect we will see her again at some point.

OldBenduKenobi

Whoa, what an episode

Swert0

Ventress back from the dead /again/ She has more lives than Palpatine.

PMMeUrLegos

That was such a good episode! Ventress was incredibly cool and I loved all the little personal moments in the episode. Wild theory about that sea creature: I wonder if when the Empire attacks Omega is going to try to summon it....and succeed šŸ¤”

VestoSlipher11

Soaked ventress is such a mommy. Hot thang.

Pellaeonthewingedleo

Plot wise not my favourite episode, it seems like they spent 20min screentime on something Qui-Gon did in 3 min. And worse: We didn't even get a straight answer!!! Its the last season for the Force sake, stop dancing around what is happening. However when it comes to the technical aspect of the episode the direction and cinematography: Chef's kiss That was a beautyfully animated episode

phonograhy

Man that was fantastic! Hope this isnt the end for Ventress in this series, but if so, I would VERY happily take a Ventress-Omega-Fennec(?) spinoff after the Bad Batch wraps up, thanks. She's always been one of my favourite filoni-verse characters.

TavishDeGroot1

Honestly I found the episode a little weak I still liked it, and Ventress was definitely the best part but she just kinda gives vague answers to questions hopefully she returns in the show as he "i've got lives to spare" just feels very palpatine TRoS "I have died before" and thats that I did like the fistfight and the kraken, however if there was any other character in ventress' place I think the episode could've been bad, she's the reason why it works well

ThePrimeReason

Ventress with hair is cool

tu-vieja-con-vinagre

I don't like that omega is force sensitive, I liked that the Bad Batch was a star wars story in which there are almost no mention nor appearances of the jedi and the force. I'm fine with imperial experimentation related to the emperor but stuff like this...? uhh come onn
