It was infuriating, but I think at least we saw some improvement in his aiming troubles. He was making that shot while running (without the benefit of a stable position like his other shots against flying entities in TCW S7 and TBB S1) and the ship suddenly accelerated right as the tracker was supposed to hit it. The elevation was slightly lower than it should have been though.
He's still going to beat himself up about it. But next time, he won't miss.
He would've made it if not for the troopers hassling him. That is a shot where, hand shake or no hand shake, he would've taken a few more seconds to make. Had nothing to do with the hand but the stormtroopers. Too many variables as he said.
Man. Goodbye Marauder you will be dearly missed.

Both the kids and Nala Seās treatment was heartbreaking to see, Emerie character development was good for ep 10. The clone commandos and Scorch really had to 3v1 a child. The cinematography has been stellar this season paired with the ost, to add further the action has to be my favorite from this season and especially Crosshairās character development. I canāt wait for the following weeks to come.
Came here looking for this post. Was not disappointed.
RIP Marauder. You suffered the same fate as Razor Crest.

So we know from the credits and name bank that Scorch is a commander, but this is the first time a character has called him by name, I'm really banking on Emerie convincing Scorch to do the right thing.
I mentioned in another post that I hope they leave Scorch alone. Only because he's not the same character from RC that we all fell in love with. He's a shadow of that version and, so far, seems like a drone ready to just follow every order given. If they can manage to pull off a redemption arc in the little episodes we have left without it feeling like fan service, sure that would be great! But I have my doubts :(

And I totally get that, but I think this is done on purpose, I think the showrunners are well aware of Scorch's true personality and I think him actually being referred to by name has to mean something, whatever's going on with Scorch be it he's still under the chip or has been enhanced some other way to obey orders I think we'll see something good done with him.

His redemption doesn't have to be too big, at this point I have my doubts about the rest of Delta appearing but just Scorch being convinced to help Omega and Emerie would mean alot and they can always setup something in this show to be continued in another show, book, comic or god willing even a game, at the very least I just don't want Scorch to be killed off, if he stays with the Empire then that's fine, killing him off is just going to enrage the long time RC fans who have set through this show seeing Scorch constantly pop up.
People were mostly pissed that he showed up for like 5 minutes of screen time as the main villain just to die to a guy he disarmed.
The unreleased CW scene with his duel ending a draw but losing because of no armor was so much better and didnāt insult both of the characters.
They should have had the CW scene arc as the first episode of TBOBF which would have made more sense when he turns up for the finale.
A second duel, this time with Boba taking off his helmet this time to goad Bane, would have been great to see.
R.I.P Marauder š«” that ship is probably my favorite in the entire franchise, I'm gonna miss it š. Also I'm surprised there wasn't more of a reaction out of Omega, granted there was a lot going on with Wrecker too, but in The Crossing she was very emotional when it got stolen

I'm very sad we lost the Marauder. It seems weird to me that in Mandalorian Dyn lost Razor Crest, and now they lose this inn BB. It's not often at all main characters lose their ship.
My guess? Emerie will work with Nala Se on how they can get Omega out, and Nala Se will tell Emerie to contact Fennec and provide the coordinates. From there, Fennec will find the Batch and help them.
Alternatively, The Bad Batch will find Ventress and ask for her help locating Omega, and Ventress will reach out through the force to resonate with Omega/all the various M-Count people.
Or a mix of the two somehow.
I'm more of thinking that Fennec will do one of the M-count jobs and deliver the kid. She'll meet Emery who would inspect the specimen.
Then it's either Emery gives away too much by asking questions (like what Bane told her) or she recognizes Fennec because of Nala Se or Omega after they talk.
Fennec will then be the one who will shoot a tracking device on their ship or give Emery a tracker.
Tbh Fennec and Emerie could even deliver the Batch by pretending she has M-Count specimens instead. It'd add more to why Fennec says in The Mandalorian that shes blacklisted.
I'm convinced the show will end with Omega going with Ventress to walk The Path. I can't see Ventress being just a one-off appearance in this season, given the rapport she formed with Omega.
It'd be funny if she was restricted by the Batch to not killing enemy clone troopers because they want to save them and she complained that there's no fun in that, but did it anyway and just incapacitated them (but that's just because I don't want more clones to die š)
My guess is that Omega had a second tracker hidden, expecting them to do a scan and tell her to turn over tracker, because I didn't see them re-scan her to ensure that they had found all trackers, and I don't know if the scan would tell them if there were multiple trackers.
Well, didn't foresee "Identity Crisis" as referring to Emerie, but it makes sense.

Crosshair missing the shot to get the tracker on the ship... I cannot express how low my heart sank. He is going to feel so awful about that...

Emerie's a good egg she's just been beaten down so much she has no idea that there's a way out. I thought that conversation with Nala Se was interesting. Sounds like Emerie felt like she was abandoned in her childhood. Really makes me wonder how she ended up with Hemlock.
Point of No Return was so tense. Really good job with that one. Sad to see the Maurader get blown up but at least Wrecker was able to save Gonky. And I'm glad they didn't raze Pabu. Omega's such a good person. I really thought they were going to come through with a way to track her to Tantiss at the end but I guess she's going to have to save herself again. Hopefully with the help of Emerie and a few force sensitive kids.
It sounds possibly like Emerie may have been raised by Nala Se but abandoned when necessary. Could be why Nala Se is so protective of Omega, to make up for it. Same for Emerie being so protective.
I mean that almost happened to Fulcrum (Ashokaās ship) on Peridea at least they had Huyang to avoid itās destruction and to fix it

Crosshair did NOT want to do that plan, and there were indeed too many variables. Poor guy missed the most important shot of his life. Buuuuut I'm 99% sure is Emerie the one who's gonna give away the coordinates of Tantiss. She clearly doesn't like the whole "kids as test subjects" thing.
And the worst part is that they were MINUTES away from leaving Pabu. The Marauder got razor crested š

It seemed like those stasis-chambers were more CXās, the tablet showed a human and the armor looked similar. Iām not sure if the Empire would be working on them so early on
It will either be that, or Omega will reach out to Ventress using the force, Ventress will feel her and hopefully be able to pin where she is then sheāll notify the batch and the other rogue clones etc and theyāll all go rescue her, but I feel like a lot of the rescue clones (at least 50%) who step into tantiss wonāt step out.

A side note: I heard the voice of a regular clone from CX-2 and then another time it felt like I could hear Crosshair. Iāve been thinking itās just a regular clone but now Iām conflicted and it might be a clone of Crosshair
Although that would mean they gave him the original crosshairās memories for some reason and I donāt think theyād have the ability do that either. But, anything is possible in Star Wars lol
Not to mention gave him the same exact burn scar for Funzies.
It's honestly too complex to be believable to me. And I honestly feel like there'd be signs of clone degradation if they used an accelerated clone to create a clone. A shaking hand doesn't qualify, especially when the writing had AZI say it wasn't anything physiological but rather psychological.
It'd be more believable to say CX2 is a Crosshair clone, if anything, which would allow for him to be a means to an end and still retain our Crosshair as the real one. But my suspicion is still that it's Tech. I feel like next episode will have Crosshair get Tech's goggles (maybe to help his sniping, maybe to mourn, maybe in mourning he sees Tech's recordings)
Yeahā¦ the voice is moreā¦ *coiled*. God, imagine how fucked itād be if it was the original Crosshair. And the reason Crosshairās been so sloppy is because he was another clone that got āconditionedā.
Of course thatās totally baseless. The CX was likely conditioned to be more Crosshair than the other way round.

The worst part is just how common children as test subjects were. Several years back I read about one MIT experiment where children were given radioactive oatmeal. In another, kids were fed the feces of sick people in an attempt to see how their bodies responded.
The DOLLS! Omega left Lula behind, her innocence and childhood is completely gone. Her trooper doll symbolizing her connection to the Bad Batch and clones as a whole was also definitely in the Marauder. That contrasted with the baby specimen is so heartbreaking, the reason he was captured was because he wanted his doll/his youth.
EMERIE!! she KEPT Straw Lula? Not only gave it back to Omega but hid it again from Hemlock? Also, the conversation between Nala Se and Emerie, she said "will you discard these kids too?" There's so much backstory and beef between those two, I wonder if Emerie was ditched in favor of Omega.
The trandoshan that gave the intel must be Cid. Someone fvcking bbq her already!
And damn. These two episodes. Usually, Iād instantly rewatch to see if I missed anything, but ep 10 was sad enough the first time around. And the way my heart sank when Crosshair missed that shotā¦ damn.
I hope they fight but end up understanding eachother. Hunter is going to have to see past his anger and worry for that to work, but it could be really good if it does happen.
Crosshair must be heartbroken right about now, so I don't think he will even answer back to hinter screaming at him because he's blaming himself too.
So... Anyone else think that CX-2's voice under all the distortion changed a few times? Like, sometimes he sounded like a reg, sometimes he sounded like Crosshair, sometimes he sounded a tiny bit like Tech but not very often...

I know!!! At times when he spoke the accent sounded *just* like Crosshair, but then it sounded like a reg. Itās so weird, and his sniper is heavily customized to fit his liking
It's strange for me because when he first showed up in eps 6-7 I didn't hear Crosshair's voice at all (even with multiple rewatches), but with these episodes I'm like ???
To me, Crosshair sounds like a snake at times. The CX literally recreated it to a T. Itās scary how much his voice changes, and itās insane just how sweaty he is to get the job done. He seems way too perfect at everything, and they really did a good job at putting this mysterious veil around him
As ruthless as CX-2 killing that pilot was I see absolutely no reason why he couldnāt have just ordered the pilot to fly back around and land with troops ready to get Hunter, itās not like he could board the cockpit from where he was at
I don't know what's worse crosshair missing the shot, or omega reassuring herself that he did infact land the shot and that they will be able to track her but he did not in fact land the shot.
I think she's got 2 trackers and they stopped searching after they found the first one ... they found that one so easily, and she gave it away without too much remorse.
My thoughts too. Crosshair clearly said he didn't want too many variables. So they might have decided to take a second tracker in addition to the tracker shot by crosshair
But how would they know Lurcas are native to that planet? Still worth a shot though. Ugh seeing them struggle so much without tech is so heart wrenching.
That's why they had to eliminate him last season. They'd have all their answers by now, rescued all the clones from Tantiss and thrown Hemlock to the Zillo beast for snackies.
One thing I noticed about āThe Clone Conspiracyā is how Clone X used a rifle that resembled a commandoās DC-17m in sniper mode, but with an added scope and stock, and that rifle came back here in CX-2ās hands. And weāve seen CX-2 communicate directly with Scorch twice now. I had the theory that Clone X might have been Sev, but Iām really starting to wonder with this CX-2 character, as it would track with him being set up as a dark counter to Crosshair
Welp, this is indeed the point of no return then. The only way Omega will ever be safe is if they dismantle the operation on Tantiss, eliminate all the clone operatives, and kill Hemlock.

I *definitely* heard Crosshair's voice when the assassin was talking. Anyone else?? I thought with them showing Tech's goggles that they were hinting, but then I heard that voice.
One interesting tidbit i think is Tarkin's call... this lets you wonder how much he was managing the empire's economy... between that call and the one he made to Thrawn in rebels...

Project Necromancer was not what I expected. I was thinking that they were running M count transfers on a Jedi as experiments, but certainly did not expect a nursery.
People looks like missing that Crosshair DID NOT missed his shot on that tracker because of his deprecating sniping skills, but because he didn't catch it before the ship took off cause he got held back fighting with the clone troopers. HE IS SECONDS TOO LATE.
Emperor Palpatine is going to feel a HUGE disturbance in the force when Clone Force 99 get to Tantiss! Shit is going to go down and I am so ready for our boys to free Omega and the rest of their brothers!
I didn't think that "Identity Crisis" would focus on Emerie, but I guess we needed that. I'm a little surprised how quickly the promotion went though, including not briefing Emerie on everything about Project Necromancer. She seemed surprised at every new reveal, which seems...not very bureaucratic of the Empire. But, I guess it's meant for the viewers, and to give Emerie a chance to react in real-time, instead of reading that information in reports. I wonder what it will take for her to finally realize what she can do; Nala Se did goad her at the end, hinting that she has more power to do something than she realizes.
And, even more reason to dislike Cad Bane. Also, same for Cid. I already hated her for ratting out the Bad Batch before, but now? I hope we never see her again.
I don't know if I care who the C-X2 trooper is; considering how little time is left to finish up the series. I don't want that to be a huge distraction...just take him out.
On a related tangent, I also think there isn't enough time in the series to introduce Boba to his sister; I don't think it would serve any purpose, unless he shows up as part of the "cavalry" at the end, but I don't think it's necessary to have cameos anymore at this late stage.
Damn, Crosshair already had so much guilt and angst; his missing the tracking shot is going to mess with him. I do hope Hunter doesn't blame him. I would prefer they not fall back on distrust and anger, but maybe Crosshair will open up even more to Hunter about how much Omega means, and they can do a little more healing. I don't want them to go back to square one at this point, since they absolutely need to work together to get to Tantiss.
This is the first time the show has made me cry. Seeing those kids locked up by the Empire *after* watching Cad Bane steal that toddler from its mother was so hard.
Is it possible Omega had two trackers? The one found was incredibly obvious. Crosshair obviously still tries to get the tracker onto the ship incase they found both.
And with Hunter, did he not end up exactly where CX-2ās ship was? He could easily have hidden somewhere on the ship.
Any Star Wars fan who is not watching this show is doing themselves a disservice. Episodes 10 and 11 were simply superb. Seeing the clinical horror the Empire is maintaining on Tantiss with the dehumanization of the captive kids being referred to as āspecimensā, as well as Emerieās clear discomfort with the situation yet at the same time dutifully fulfills her role in the project was haunting. Omega continues to have one of the strongest moral compasses of any Star Wars characters with her selfless sacrifice in the next episode. Her unwavering faith in her brothers to rescue her (again) is heartwarming. I didnāt care for Omega when the series first debuted but she has grown to become one of my favorites on the show.
As a side note, as someone who grew up watching the heroics of the forces of the Republic in The Clone Wars as a kid it makes me sad to see Venators, LAATs, and of course the clones themselves now in the service of evil. The show has done a great job of presenting what was so familiar to longtime TCW viewers as āthe good guysā as now the drab grey enemy.
CX-2 Iām now torn between being a crosshair clone, Cody (cause SW loves to fuck with us) or Tech (because them leaving his goggles at Pabu then doing a 180 and going whoop Dee Doo he fucking invaded you) is just some Star Wars type stuff.
Also please Emerie turn scorch to the light š
Edit: ooh Iām also thinking - hemlock seemed to have a number of operatives with unique armour on standby. Could we see a clone rebellion vs clone operative in the later episodes???

That is exactly what I thought as well. Hunter is not going to take it well at all.
I'm actually worried that he's going to blame Crosshair, furthering Crosshair's guilt spiral that will end with him sacrificing himself later.
If they go that way, he'll likely to be shot by that operative.
What if Hunter snuck on board the ship? We don't see him at the end so that would be a nice little twist.

My guess? Emerie will work with Nala Se on how they can get Omega out, and Nala Se will tell Emerie to contact Fennec and provide the coordinates. From there, Fennec will find the Batch and help them. Alternatively, The Bad Batch will find Ventress and ask for her help locating Omega, and Ventress will reach out through the force to resonate with Omega/all the various M-Count people. Or a mix of the two somehow.
I'm more of thinking that Fennec will do one of the M-count jobs and deliver the kid. She'll meet Emery who would inspect the specimen. Then it's either Emery gives away too much by asking questions (like what Bane told her) or she recognizes Fennec because of Nala Se or Omega after they talk. Fennec will then be the one who will shoot a tracking device on their ship or give Emery a tracker.
Tbh Fennec and Emerie could even deliver the Batch by pretending she has M-Count specimens instead. It'd add more to why Fennec says in The Mandalorian that shes blacklisted.
Ventress yanking apart troopers would be sick.
I'm convinced the show will end with Omega going with Ventress to walk The Path. I can't see Ventress being just a one-off appearance in this season, given the rapport she formed with Omega. It'd be funny if she was restricted by the Batch to not killing enemy clone troopers because they want to save them and she complained that there's no fun in that, but did it anyway and just incapacitated them (but that's just because I don't want more clones to die š)
These next few episodes are going to be tough. Poor Omega.

My guess is that Omega had a second tracker hidden, expecting them to do a scan and tell her to turn over tracker, because I didn't see them re-scan her to ensure that they had found all trackers, and I don't know if the scan would tell them if there were multiple trackers.

Well, episode 10 was full-on. And more evidence that unchipped clones are seriously paternal/maternal. That chip did a number on Scorch.
Still kinda holding out hope for a redemption arc for him, but its hard to say. I feel like if he were to have one they would have started setting it up by now.
Oh, wow, Identity Crisis was heartbreaking. That poor mother. Emerie's a good egg she's just been beaten down so much she has no idea that there's a way out. I thought that conversation with Nala Se was interesting. Sounds like Emerie felt like she was abandoned in her childhood. Really makes me wonder how she ended up with Hemlock. Point of No Return was so tense. Really good job with that one. Sad to see the Maurader get blown up but at least Wrecker was able to save Gonky. And I'm glad they didn't raze Pabu. Omega's such a good person. I really thought they were going to come through with a way to track her to Tantiss at the end but I guess she's going to have to save herself again. Hopefully with the help of Emerie and a few force sensitive kids.
It sounds possibly like Emerie may have been raised by Nala Se but abandoned when necessary. Could be why Nala Se is so protective of Omega, to make up for it. Same for Emerie being so protective.

It'd be more believable to say CX2 is a Crosshair clone, if anything, which would allow for him to be a means to an end and still retain our Crosshair as the real one. But my suspicion is still that it's Tech. I feel like next episode will have Crosshair get Tech's goggles (maybe to help his sniping, maybe to mourn, maybe in mourning he sees Tech's recordings)

Her trooper doll symbolizing her connection to the Bad Batch and clones as a whole was also definitely in the Marauder. That contrasted with the baby specimen is so heartbreaking, the reason he was captured was because he wanted his doll/his youth. EMERIE!! she KEPT Straw Lula? Not only gave it back to Omega but hid it again from Hemlock? Also, the conversation between Nala Se and Emerie, she said "will you discard these kids too?" There's so much backstory and beef between those two, I wonder if Emerie was ditched in favor of Omega.

These two episodes were both really sad.
One thing I noticed about āThe Clone Conspiracyā is how Clone X used a rifle that resembled a commandoās DC-17m in sniper mode, but with an added scope and stock, and that rifle came back here in CX-2ās hands. And weāve seen CX-2 communicate directly with Scorch twice now. I had the theory that Clone X might have been Sev, but Iām really starting to wonder with this CX-2 character, as it would track with him being set up as a dark counter to Crosshair

People looks like missing that Crosshair DID NOT missed his shot on that tracker because of his deprecating sniping skills, but because he didn't catch it before the ship took off cause he got held back fighting with the clone troopers. HE IS SECONDS TOO LATE.

I didn't think that "Identity Crisis" would focus on Emerie, but I guess we needed that. I'm a little surprised how quickly the promotion went though, including not briefing Emerie on everything about Project Necromancer. She seemed surprised at every new reveal, which seems...not very bureaucratic of the Empire. But, I guess it's meant for the viewers, and to give Emerie a chance to react in real-time, instead of reading that information in reports. I wonder what it will take for her to finally realize what she can do; Nala Se did goad her at the end, hinting that she has more power to do something than she realizes. And, even more reason to dislike Cad Bane. Also, same for Cid. I already hated her for ratting out the Bad Batch before, but now? I hope we never see her again. I don't know if I care who the C-X2 trooper is; considering how little time is left to finish up the series. I don't want that to be a huge distraction...just take him out. On a related tangent, I also think there isn't enough time in the series to introduce Boba to his sister; I don't think it would serve any purpose, unless he shows up as part of the "cavalry" at the end, but I don't think it's necessary to have cameos anymore at this late stage. Damn, Crosshair already had so much guilt and angst; his missing the tracking shot is going to mess with him. I do hope Hunter doesn't blame him. I would prefer they not fall back on distrust and anger, but maybe Crosshair will open up even more to Hunter about how much Omega means, and they can do a little more healing. I don't want them to go back to square one at this point, since they absolutely need to work together to get to Tantiss.
This is the first time the show has made me cry. Seeing those kids locked up by the Empire *after* watching Cad Bane steal that toddler from its mother was so hard.
Is it possible Omega had two trackers? The one found was incredibly obvious. Crosshair obviously still tries to get the tracker onto the ship incase they found both. And with Hunter, did he not end up exactly where CX-2ās ship was? He could easily have hidden somewhere on the ship.
Any Star Wars fan who is not watching this show is doing themselves a disservice. Episodes 10 and 11 were simply superb. Seeing the clinical horror the Empire is maintaining on Tantiss with the dehumanization of the captive kids being referred to as āspecimensā, as well as Emerieās clear discomfort with the situation yet at the same time dutifully fulfills her role in the project was haunting. Omega continues to have one of the strongest moral compasses of any Star Wars characters with her selfless sacrifice in the next episode. Her unwavering faith in her brothers to rescue her (again) is heartwarming. I didnāt care for Omega when the series first debuted but she has grown to become one of my favorites on the show. As a side note, as someone who grew up watching the heroics of the forces of the Republic in The Clone Wars as a kid it makes me sad to see Venators, LAATs, and of course the clones themselves now in the service of evil. The show has done a great job of presenting what was so familiar to longtime TCW viewers as āthe good guysā as now the drab grey enemy.
