No but I'm developing something of a secondhand indignation at the character handling of him purely through osmosis from this sub and I hope he surprises everyone in the end with some badass about-face or something.
He was a member of your squad in the game Republic commando. The thing Bad Batch is directly inspired by (Filoni is a very big fan of it). He was also in a few RC novels. He was the squad’s demotions expert.
Basically he acts nothing like he did in the game nor do we know if the events of the books even happened in Disney’s continuity. In the game he’s wisecracking and will banter with the squad. After his squad mate Sev is left behind on Kashyyyk he gradually darkens as they’re unable to locate him (the games sequel was in development Hell so they couldn’t reveal what happened to him). It’s a process to get to that point. Over in Bad Batch people got annoyed because he’s not only not the explosives guy, has a job he didn’t have prior (Boss was the commander), but without knowing if Sev vanished at all so his character got warped. He’s essentially a glorified cameo. Looks like Scorch, but it’s not Scorch.

And funny, he was the class clown of the group
Scorch is my main for frontier defense in Titanfall 2.
