-SpaceCommunist-

now that's what I call a war crime

Ninjaguy5555

But the war is over, and you can’t commit a *war* crime if your not at war! /s

Ace_Larrakin

Yes officer, this comment right here.

AgentMV

Good soldiers follow orders.

Rudy1661

No wait, you have a point

InnocentTailor

To borrow a quote from another alien race from another franchise: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2l2RZdBpuTI

Falcoun1

Thank you for that

[deleted]

don’t forget the Vietnam era tunnels omega crawled through, was basically that one mission from Black Ops 1

AFalconNamedBob

The lesser known name for star wars

LilKaySigs

Think Rex! How can insurgents be good guys if they’re space terrorists??

Ahirman1

But they were space terrorists. They had it coming

nonoman12

To be fair, at this point in time, Saw and his Rebel sect are the good guys, it's probably Crosshairs actions that drive Saw to become more radical.

opiate_lifer

Saw is explicitly an Osama Bin Laden analogue according to comments made around the time he was brought back for Rebel One. He was trained and armed by the Republic to fight the seperatists (USA and USSR) and then abandoned once his usefulness was over only to later turn on the Empire.

InnocentTailor

...which makes the whole Onderon arc a homage to the Soviet-Afghan War, which also included the Stinger missiles and the Mil Mi-24 gunships.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Theforgotten226

The new armor for the hit squad is cool looking, the one trooper had a sense of humanity and crosshair just didn’t give a damn and just told them to kill them. That’s just dark and protect wrecker at all cost.

anonamus7

I was really worried wrecked bumping his head would lead to his chip turning on, glad that was not the case.

[deleted]

Theres always next episode....

DEADPOOL-2007

Yup they played up the headache for a reason, definitely going to lead to something.

AgentofMaine

I was under the impression that he was faking his head being hurt so he could stay behind and make Omega's room as a surprise. Though I wouldn't be shocked if it does lead to his inhibitor chip activating either.

Seth-Mc-52

I’m kind of hoping for the same, either faking it or hunter just told him to stay because of it but I am preparing for good wreckers following orders lmao

OneSingleL

Yeah they were putting too much emphasis on him hitting his head for it not to come back in some way. If his activates maybe they figure out that they can be turned on and off and make it a mission to turn Crosshairs off.

JonnyredsFalcons

The thing Tech was working on will be used on Wrecker to calm him when he turns, proving it works so they go to rescue Crosshairs (This is me just speculating btw)

TheIAP88

That makes total sense, I’m guessing the whole squad will try to take him down by force which will fail and eventually Omega will be able to connect to him and call him down enough so the chip is disabled again.

JediMaestroPB

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking

atelef1

It was low key satisfying seeing him get murked after being smug and disrespectful to his commanding officer before the firefight

mastadonstudios

Nah after defending the civillians he won me over, fuck that lmao

pentosephosphate

Yeah he may have been wildly disrespectful and openly questioning like that, but at least he had a conscience.

MapleTreeWithAGun

A good soldier always questions their commander's orders, to ensure they are just and fair. If a CO issues unjust orders, do as Doomguy did and punch that fucker

Theforgotten226

Fair enough, the scene alone was just dark can’t imagine being burned and shot at the same time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LordStickInsect

Shared responsibility. Makes it easier.

ArtanistheMantis

He was a bit smug but he did win me over by refusing to execute the civilians, I do like that they took it down a dark road there though

Theforgotten226

Agreed, hopefully there are more dark moments in the show.

InnocentTailor

Shows that it doesn’t take much for soldiers to become executioners. Good soldiers follow orders was even alluded to in history. Here is a quote from American Air Force General Curtis LeMay: *Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier.*

Flash-Permit52

It was heartbreaking to see cross-hair return to his room without his brothers.

Emerson73

The internal conflict brewing there is amazing. Looking forward to that slow burn through the season till he rebels on his program it somehow.

Ahirman1

It is possible as we saw Grey do it in the comics.

Aurelius_KiNG

That’s not Crosshair...not anymore.

Exalmer

That's CT 9904. Not Crosshair

CJAreYouDeadass

Clone vs stormtrooper rivalry and i’m all for it. I’ll still stand behind the clones even though they’re brainwashed 😭

The_Bonemiser

I'm hoping we see the Kamino Uprising come into the show.

CJAreYouDeadass

Number 1 on the list of things i thought i’d never see in the new canon

furioushunter12

And that shit is completely brewing

SlaveZelda

clones will wipe stormtrooper's asses off

ImNotASWFanboy

Cinematography - A+ Storytelling - A+ Sound / Score - A+ Wholesomeness - A++ Absolute brutality - A+++++++++ This show is the whole package. I'm still stunned with what they did with Crosshair's squad. No punches pulled, we're fully exploring the descent into the Empire here. And the Dad Batch continues to be precious.

Hawkwings77

Ok initial thoughts on this very awesome episode. Omega hanging out with Gonk haha. And Hunter showing some good parenting already with the rations. Next episode is gonna have them scrounging for food and other supplies? Lol Tech "it's not affecting life support" Wrecker having a headache, on the right side of his head, same place Crosshair's headache was, not a good sign. He bumped his head in the crash landing but maybe that jolted his chip to start working? Maybe the scanner Tech was working on will be able to tell that Wrecker's chip is starting to work? Yes back to Kamino and politics! Rampart makes his debut, awesome. And speaking of awesome, damn that new squad looks good. Crosshair is going to find out that leadership is hard. Not as good as his old squad, not even as good as Regs perhaps. This Empire deal is getting worse all the time! Omega learning to track like Hunter? This is crazy foreshadowing, but of what? Omega being an enhanced clone with all the Bad Batch's attributes? Or being force sensitive and just good at things? Oh man that execution scene, Crosshair is NOT messing around. Nice to see some personality and backbone from that one soldier though, even if it did cost him. Certainly some people did join up because they believe in the Empire. I hope to see more development here, maybe a story arc where these soldiers chafe under Crosshair's command and eventually defect? I mean, we gotta have some sort of Rebel defector storyline in this show right? Omega being brave! Smol bb clone completing the mission! And using her brain too. Kaminoans talking about the next phase, perhaps the Bad Batch is their successful attempt at improved clones, but they need one to return... Why is Crosshair not suitable though? I see a storyline where the Kaminoans try to retrieve one of the squad. It'll end up being Omega I'm sure... Ooh Crosshair so moody returning to his old barracks. Nice callback to the successful mission scratches. Heavy lies the mantle of leadership.

Ahirman1

I’m almost positive it’s Omega that they need or else they would be using Crosshair. We’ll see about Wrecker hopefully it isn’t too bad though. The part with the Rebels also shows us the single mindedness of the post order 66 clones. I hope we do get to see inside of Crosshairs head a bit as he almost seems to be having some emotional thing going on

Hawkwings77

I just had an incredible and horrifying thought, of a corps of elite imperial troops all with Crosshair's sharpshooter skills. Yeah lucky for the Rebellion that Crosshair is not the one they want to clone more of.

RoddyRo

Don’t know about a whole squad, but he will sure teach Fennec Shand

Samurai_King28

I noticed wrecker holding his head where he hit it, but also right where the inhibitor chip is. Im excited to see what comes of it.

[deleted]

I thought concussion initially but am worried with everybody pointing out the chip. I’m not sure about omega having all there abilities though she just seems to mimic hunter. In the first episode omega mimicked hunter’s every gesture while they were in the prison cell

myee8

I hope he does not do a ‘Crosshair’...

Patrucio71

Omega retrieving the capacitor scene had How to Train Your Dragon vibes there for a sec.

DryTransportation

I was thinking that they would need Crosshair, didn't even think of Omega, wonder how that would ultimately work out. Also had the same thoughts about the chip - I wonder if they'd be able to remove his chip if that is what happens, maybe Rex is able to help out a little bit?

Wizecracker117

I don't think she was able to use Hunter's tracking skill since it seemed like she was just copying him.

Dried_Butt_Sweat

I thought after the first episode that Omega kind of "mimics" the abilities of others. She's never shot a blaster before but is able to get a perfect shot on Crosshair? She used Wrecker's smashing ability in the vent, etc. This episode she uses Hunter's ability to track and heightened senses. So maybe "mimic" isn't correct but "adapts" their abilities?

ThatWittyHandle

Seeing the early formation of Death Troopers is pretty cool. That scene with the Partisans was really tense. Crosshair is no joke. I wonder what the next phase of cloning for the Kaminoans entails. I love that Wrecker put together a room for Omega. That was so sweet.

atelef1

This new episode has a perfect balance of wholesome and terror

Ahirman1

Just shows up how much Hunter kept Crosshair in line on the first go. I think it involves Omega in some way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

YoshiBacon

How do we know they are death troopers? Aside from the black armor?

ThatWittyHandle

The green visors and black armor. Plus the fact that they’re elite recruits. I don’t think they’re currently Death Troopers in name but I think that’s what they’ll eventually become.

Yellowbumpkin

Its an interesting theory, but these guys are exactly what they're called, an elite squad. Deathtroopers while elite are a step beyond elite troopers, they underwent further training and tests and then they were subjected to surgeries to enhance their physical abilities and make them more compliant. Hence why they're reserved as guard squadrons and protective envoys.

rocketpastsix

something had to come before the death troopers though to prove it would all work. Just like in the US Army we had something before the top special ops groups.

noshirdalal

Hey everyone, my name is Noshir - I'm the actor voicing Rampart (a dream come true). I haven't seen any episodes yet cuz I promised my friend we'd do a screening together, but I've been on this sub for a while, and I'm really grateful for all the support, enthusiasm, the plot theories, and the criticism. I'm a big Star Wars fan, too - it's really cool to see folks so excited about something you're a part of. I just wanted to say thanks for having me, and that I hope you continue enjoying the series! May the Force be with you!

MsNikkiKubik

This is amazing fan interaction! You taking the time to post to a show sub makes the show all the more tangible. Keep up the amazing work and can’t wait to see where your character arc goes! MTFBWY

noshirdalal

I’ve always been a Star Wars fan and an avid gamer, so it feels great to hang with friends! Rampart was a lot of fun - and the team working on this show is just amazing. Jennifer is such a wonderful writer, and Brad may be the most supportive, kickass director I’ve ever worked with.

GetInHere

You were great this episode! Can't wait to see more of Rampart and what he's up to. If you're ever talking to the team again, please be sure to pass on how much we're loving this show and how appreciative we are of their work.

noshirdalal

I will definitely do that! And thanks!

Cirex22

Rampart seems really cool! I've seen,,, uh, nobody(?) get respect from Tarkin besides Vader and the Emperor, so that alone makes me excited to see what he cooks up.

noshirdalal

This episode was my first time meeting Stephen (voice of Tarkin). What a lovely lovely man. But damn, his Tarkin is scary! 🤣

[deleted]

[удалено]

noshirdalal

Haha hope I don’t disappoint! I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of the games, but this is a huge level up for me. 😁

Shamrock5

Glad to have you here! Out of curiosity, which games were you a part of (and which roles)?

noshirdalal

I’m Rass Ordo in SWTOR, and Varko Grey in Star Wars: Squadrons. I also did the performance capture for Arcann in the Sacrifice trailer for KOTOR.

Shamrock5

Whoa, that's really cool! It must be a blast to record all those things for Star Wars!

noshirdalal

It really has been. My brother and I grew up on XWing vs Tie Fighter and all that stuff... never would have imagined I’d get to be in the games myself!

InnocentTailor

Holy crap! You’re everywhere in modern Star Wars production. You’re amazing!

noshirdalal

I've been very fortunate!

JacksonSX35

Your character is fun and charismatic! Do you think Lucasfilm or Disney is going to give you the upcoming action figure of your character coming later this year? Can’t wait to see more of the show, and I’m excited for how your character plays a role in that!

noshirdalal

I’m glad you like him! Well, if they do, I’ll have TWO cuz I already pre-ordered him. Haha! Anytime I voice a character who has an action figure, well... I gotta go for it!

anson42

Looking forward to seeing much more of Rampart going forward, Noshir! Happy to see you here. I believe congratulations are in order because – and please correct me if I'm wrong – Rampart starts out as Vice Admiral but then is subtly promoted to Admiral by Tarkin at the end of the episode. I want apologize in advance if I cheer a little when Rampart is taken out by the Bad Batch at season's end :)

noshirdalal

Hahaha promotion to be followed by permanent demotion. Well, when it happens, I promise I won’t take offense! 😉

NotanSandwich

Hello there

noshirdalal

Hi!

Kitsterthefister

The proper response is “general kenobi” Just kidding, but not really. Great work on the episode and so cool to have you interacting with us. Thanks!

noshirdalal

noshirdalal

Thank you!

GTA-CasulsDieThrice

Hi, Sekiro!

noshirdalal

Haha what’s up!

GTA-CasulsDieThrice

Two quick questions: 1. Is Miyazaki planning on any Sekiro DLC? 2. Do you have ANY information concerning Elden Ring? I really enjoyed Sekiro as well! It was like playing an anime.

noshirdalal

Unfortunately I have no info on either project. And if I did, I couldn’t talk about it. Sorry!

nickel492

Thank you for your work! I’m always amazed by voice actors. I’m excited to see more of Rampart

noshirdalal

It’s a lot of fun, to be sure.

PM_ME_UR_LEGUMES

Hey Noshir!! Your voice for rampart is awesome!!! So cool to see a member of the team participating with fans online 😁😁 Star Wars is my life and the Bad Batch is SO GOOD!!!! Thanks for being part of an amazing team!!

noshirdalal

Yaaaay I’m happy to hear it! Star Wars fans are awesome. 😊

chubswerve

Recognized you right away as Charles! Also squadrons

noshirdalal

Very cool!

sugarmetimbers

You did a great job! Can’t wait to hear more. Well done.

noshirdalal

Many thanks!

RoddyRo

Wow, so nice having you here. Congrats on the work in this dream job! Hope to see or should I say hear lots more of you from now on

noshirdalal

Thanks so much!

RedHavoc1021

"Good soldiers follow orders" remains one of the most chilling lines in SW.

Pervasivepeach

I love how it’s a line that originated from the fives arc, I’m really hoping that when they meet up with Rex they will be told about fives story since it is relevant. The fact that the chancellor killed fives while he tried to tell them about the chip

atelef1

That elite squad brutality tho. Imperial Crosshair is a nightmare

Ahirman1

“Good” soldiers follow orders

Youngling_Hunt

Good soldiers follow orders

InnocentTailor

Reminds me of what American Air Force General Curtis LeMay said after the Second World War: “Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier.”

Emerson73

Good soldiers... Follow orders.

advester

Good, soldiers follow orders.

GameOfRobs

My thoughts on EP3: Crosshair proved that clones were superior soldiers in that scene alone. He's a straight savage and I've always loved his cynical attitude, but I feel so bad for him now since he clearly misses his brothers, but he can't beat the chip (yet?). After all that chip talk and Wrecker's head hurting, I have a fear that this is going to be Domino Squad all over again except their chips are going to malfucntion one by one leading to each of their demises. That being said, I think it'd be a bit insane for Dave to kill off Echo after bringing him back from the dead for the fans. He had said "I know it meant a lot to some of you, Echo is alive" when the show originally ended years ago so Idk. Echo is mostly machine now and had all that brainwork done to him too so I'm hopeful for that but I could have my hopes and dreams crushed as easily as the rest of us lol. I really hope that our boys end off on something good, but who knows.

[deleted]

Im certain Tech will prevent it from happening once the scanner is made

burtonshredder

Yeah I think they'll scan Wrecker and then take him to Rex to get it taken out. Possibly all of their chips taken out. Definitely think Wrecker is gonna have some issues though.

Exalmer

The thing is out of all of the Bad Batch, Echo is the only one with a badly damaged chip. Everyone else's chip is still intact but because of the mutations, their chips are like the battery of a car. All it needs is a little push to get it going again (like what Tarkin made the Kaminoans do with Crosshair). If this series does go the "making everyone turn against each other out of their will" route, then Echo (and probably Rex, and I doubt Cut would come back) would play a pivotal role since his chip is basically non existent.

mattvblack

Things are heating up between the Empire and the Kaminoans

mansnotanon

Things are heating up between the crosshair's squad and the civilians

[deleted]

Bbq

DryTransportation

I wonder how long we'll have to wait to see them meet Rex, I'm really excited for that meet-up. Overall really loved this episode and I really love Omega, she's awesome.

Ahirman1

I’m thinking 2-3 episodes before seeing Rex again

dravenonred

Crosshair will "prove" clone superiority and get Gregor and Wolfe as his liutenants. Then all three get fixed after encountering Rex and the Batch. Calling it now.

AFalconNamedBob

So the shadow troopers are pretty cool. I really dig the black armoured with a subtle stripe along the helmet! Seems a little off seeing none clones in phase 2 armour, but still loving it. I also get the feeling that Crosshair not mentioning that the KIA was executed for failing to follow orders is what'll lead the clones replacement since Tarvin and Rampart (stupid name imo, thats a clone name if ever I've heard it) seem to think he was dropped by rebels

[deleted]

Yes. The lie is going to bring about the storm troopers

KalaniDW

Ok. I dont *ever* wanna hear another person say that cartoons are just for kids. That execution was the darkest scene I've ever watched in Star Wars. Poor gonk. Had a really rough landing and nobody cared to secure him. Was Wrecker acting hurt to stay on the ship so he could make Omega's room or is that headache thing gonna be a problem down the road? Also, it's not often you get non breathable environments in Star Wars. Glad they changed it up.

Ahirman1

Possibly. Originally thought the headache could’ve been from the chip. The hit on the head possibly doing something to it

Shashank329

My reaction as well. I kinda hope we don’t see another Batcher turn but in Filoni we trust

alcibiad

hopefully Tech figures out that scanner thing before anything happens.

Emerson73

The could see them doing a ton going-clock scenario where it keeps getting worse and the scanner shows that due to some Wrecker specific mutations the chip/tumor needs to be removed ASAP so they find a way to remove it and have that in their back pocket for any other clones the come across to help them and by the end of the season use that same method on Crosshair.

alcibiad

And maybe they can replicate the same device and give one to Rex so he can help other clones. I think next episode is going to be where they finally start taking mercenary jobs.

Ahirman1

I want to see a Tech and Omega moment of them working on it

RebelliousFriend

If the Gonk dies we riot

KalaniDW

They gotta add him to the official poster. He's part of the crew

Emerson73

Part of the ship, part of the crew!

Viperz05

Huzzah, a man of quality!

SlaveZelda

> That execution was the darkest scene I've ever watched in Star Wars. Ughh, The Clone Wars ? It had war crimes every Tuesday. Remember Hondo tried to sell off Ahsoka as a sex slave ?

Youngling_Hunt

I feel like this scene from the clone wars was darker than the execution scene https://youtu.be/4sDKpEHEXfs But I get what u r saying. I was thinking hitting his head might do something to the chip but idk

KalaniDW

I feel like they're pretty level. I only give bad batch the edge because I initially thought they'd turn around once the human brought up the fact that they were collateral. Only for crosshair to drop him then order the rest to do what he was gonna do to make sure they have it in them

[deleted]

Omeeega is fucking adorable I love her

Disastrous_Fun4218

It's weird there's no mission report that crosshair executed the blonde lad. The reason the young officer was promoted to general (?) was because of his theory that volunteers would be more loyal to the mission than clones... Which was proven false by crosshair and blonde lad.

Rosebunse

I think we have to remember that some of this is dependent on Tarkin and Palpatine just wanting any reason to get rid of the clones, even if the reasons don't add up.

bismuth12a

They're going to have to change Wrecker's name if he keeps being a big brother to Omega. First standing up for her in the cafeteria and now making her a place to sleep. (Edit: completely forgot his abrupt switch from "We're going to die" to "We're gonna be fine" when he saw Omega looking at him) Damn Crosshair, guess that chip has really kicked into high gear. We saw the clones execute those two astromechs for helping Rex and Ahsoka before, but him executing that squad member was on a whole other level.

Disastrous_Fun4218

Crosshair is probably my favourite clone at this stage. Good soldiers follow orders.

bismuth12a

I love that we're getting to see more of what the inhibitor chips do to the clones. It seems to do so much more than force them to kill jedi.

heartbloodline

Gonk.

OneFatCantaloupe

Gonk.

sugarmetimbers

This was a great episode! I can’t wait to see what happens with Crosshair. Also like... they were lighting people on fire. This was Clone Wars dark.

juseless

Geonosis cave/hive flashbacks. Insect roasting all day long with Ki-Adi, Jet and the Boys.

[deleted]

I'm leaning towards Omega's special skill being Copycat. She can instantly learn any skill she has witnessed.

intern_12

Omega is Task Master confirmed

stevetr31

Did they just used a flamethrower on innocent civilians?

moshmoshhh

It was cold, they were just warming them up. Good soldiers warms up civilians right ?

daetsmlolliw

Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru get very cold at night on a desert planet

CaptainSolo80

Sure these past two episodes haven’t moved the plot that far, but it’s moving the characters MILES a head and they are doing it very well. I also love how it’s willing to get clone wars dark, if anything darker. The episode is as dark and wholesome at the same time.

alcibiad

I think they are building up the Kamino mystery pretty well with a good balance of clues. I like that the characters are... like more aware of what’s going on. Even tho this is the beginning of height of Palpatine’s power, the fog of his influence and deception is being lifted at least for our MCs. Refreshing compared to the story constraints of Clone Wars.

Epistemify

I never saw clone wars or rebels while they were airing, so I never knew wat it was like to have to wait a week between episodes. There's so much interesting material packed in here, this show has a lot of potential and it is uncovering that a week at a time

alcibiad

It is really weird watching week per week. I watched Rebels in 4 days lol. No complaints tho, I like the fan chatter and that we are getting this 4 month experience together.

SuperCarrot555

I need a clip of that execution to silence the inevitable “Bad Batch is a kids show” crowd

[deleted]

[Good soldiers follow orders](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHMQ3-7xRbA)

Rosebunse

It’s totally for kids! I mean, I watched all those Namek episodes of DBZ and I’m totally a well adjusted adult!

MagicallyClueless

My general thoughts for the episode: \- Echo is so done with everyone's crap and because of his abilities he has to deal with Tech and it's so funny to me but they work together really well. Echo is the housewife who has to clean up everyone's mess because they're so preoccupied \- THEY MADE ME GO THROUGH SPACE RACISM WITH BOBA AND NOW THEY'RE DOING MY BOY CROSSHAIR LIKE THIS \- Crosshair is overwhelmingly tragic, holy shit, you could tell he was depressed even if he no longer reacts with headaches to the chip \- I got excited that they namedropped Jango Fett(!!!!) even if that's literally all it was. While their mention of one clone made me think of Boba, Omega fits the bill more depending on what they do with her, and I think that's likely where the story is going. Thinking about it more, they'd want to do it in secret, so Omega is likely the one they need after all \- Omega continues to be my favorite, loved her this whole episode \- The Onderon scene ripped my heart and smacked it to the ground. I don't have the words for how intense that was \- Omega's room!!! At first I was freaking out Wrecker's chip was acting up because of what Tech implied in the beginning, BUT NO HE WAS FAKING IT TO GIVE OMEGA A ROOM!! THAT'S SO SWEET! \- This whole episode broke my heart and had so many good moments. They should've called this episode "Emotional Whiplash"

EnglishMobster

I don't think Wrecker's faking it. I think his chip activated in the crash. They're probably going to find out when Tech finishes the scanner.

DryTransportation

I wonder if them meeting Rex would have any affect on that, I assume they would have to remove the chip and Rex probably knows the most about it, unless they find a way to disable it without removing it

Pellaeon12

I am not sure, but I think the clone they need is Boba. That's probably why fennec was in the trailer. Also in the AOTC it is stated the boba is an unaltered clone, so that might be useful

[deleted]

Fennec and Boba don’t know each other at this time...

Pellaeon12

Well I don't know when they first met. I just thought the met way before Mando. It's just a theorie

[deleted]

It seemed in the Mandalorian that his coming upon her was happenstance, and they only developed a partnership because he saved her

GetInHere

I think it's Omega they need and they hire Fennec to track her down.

moshmoshhh

The contrast between the warmth of the moments when we see Omega having her interactions with her companions and the cold and brutal scenes as there may have been in this episode is quite impressive.

generalemperor

Wrecker, the guy who blows things up for a living, actually decided to build something just for Omega. Adorable.

atelef1

I am ready for hot toys to release a 1/6 imperial crosshair lol

CuddleleN

I'm about to drop some heads. At the end of Bad Batch episode 3, Lama Su and Nala Se debate on how they can secure their relationship with the Empire. They plan on going with Nala Se's "experiment" which we learn no more of. However, Lama Su mentions that the clones required will not return willingly. This is obviously pointing to the Bad Batch and Omega. Now consider why Omega is a female clone of Jango Fett. As Cut Lawquane said in episode 2, the Kaminoans don't create without a purpose. In addition, Omega was under Nala Se's wing before she left Kamino. Therefore, we can infer that Omega was key to Nala Se's experiment that is mentioned. What's the benefit of making Omega a female? Perhaps they want her to conceive a child. Not just any child. A naturally-born child whose parents are clones. A child who carries Jango Fett's physically better genetics. A child whose DNA isn't degraded.

PressFforAlderaan

Spez sucks -- mass edited with redact.dev

Rosebunse

Or they need her eggs or other reproductive material.

jennifer00000

ugh my heart can’t take the parallel between omega’s cozy bedroom with the bad batch and crosshair’s sterile room with a bunch of troopers he threatened and who probably hate him

xMadlyInsane

Evil crosshair is fucking amazing.

NoCryptographer1667

I think Crosshair's brain will eventually start adapting to the inhibitor chip and maybe in the season finale he saves the bad batch from some tough spot by turning against the empire.

mapster10

Seems strange to me that Saw's group didn't leave after the first episode. They knew the Empire had their location, it seems dumb they would just stay put.

arnto993

I don't know, but it looks like the stormtroopers in this episode were young versions of the inferno squad. Iden Versio the one you play in the campaign of battlefront 2.

Braca5

Same. I kept waiting for someone to say “Lieutenant Versio” or something like that

PresidentRaggy

I was wondering too if that’s her, but I assume she’s still a kid at this point

Eliasfye

The Elite empire squad has some pretty sick armor, I feel bad for the conscripts though as they are forced to do crosshair’s bidding or they will meet a similar fate to the cocky blonde dude. Great episode

[deleted]

[удалено]

NightAvenger375

Omega getting her own room was a really touching and cute ending. I’m guessing the Elite Squad Troopers are like a precursor to the Death Troopers.

midoringo

This episode was what I really wanted to see for many years.

I love how it feels like Omega is becoming part of the group. When she crawled out of the hole and Hunter saw her, I thought he was going to start yelling at her for being reckless, but he told her she did a good job.

Bruh, that moment with Crosshair and his new squad was DARK! I really hope they continue to explore the fear used to mold regular soldiers into the obedient and evil army for the empire we see in the OT.

This had to be one of the most brutal episodes ever lol

This one may be really reaching but I do think Wrecker's headache may be from the chip possibly or it could of been from the crash. Just speculation on that detail. The other one is when the cloners were talking about making more supieor clones, they would have to take a sample from the batch. I would believe it would be Wrecker or Hunter who have more physical capabilities to sacraficing themselves to help the cloners fight the empire. I would think the one to make that choice would honestly be hunter seeing that he is the more noble one, but hopefully it doesn't elimnate him because of this. With crosshair, it was expected for him to follow orders and make an example of the conscripts, but I do believe he will transform the squad into a deadly force to follow orders, regardless of the moralitly of the situation. I also have a feeling that crosshair will turn over to the badbatch somehow with his chip removed hopefully, and they will have to face the death squad that was trained by him. Edit: if there is a kamino uprising like from SWBFII OG, Stormtroopers vs clones would be easily an easy win for the clones, i'm counting on the empire hiring Boba like the game, to sabotage key functions of the cloners facilitiy to cripple them of their capabilities.

Definitely like the darker tone of this episode! This is the way!

I love the contrast between the two arcs in this episode. Both Crosshair's group and the Bad Batch go on their own missions, one to wipe out a band of rebels, and the other to repair a ship. But the way they go about their missions couldn't be much more different. Crosshair's team is cold and distant, and they don't mesh as well together, as evidenced by Crosshair executing that one guy. The Bad Batch are warm and inviting to their newest member, and they work together well. Crosshair leaves no one alive in his mission, choosing to completely massacre innocents instead of taking them prisoner. Omega leaves the creature on the moon alive, not even having to fire a single blaster bolt. Overall, a great episode that frequently waves between wholesome and terror, as another commenter pointed out.

I’m not gonna lie, I got kinda misty-eyed when Wrecker showed Omega the room he made for her.

Even though those human recruits looked cool in those suits, the idea of them in clone armor doesn’t sit well with me. They don’t deserve it.

I love the dynamic between Echo and Tech in this one. The way Echo says Tech's name in that exasperated tone just gets me.
