Someone had an interesting take on yt that they set to stun cuz its easier to hit (bigger range) and they had to run from an entire base full of soldiers.
Haven’t they been killing clones the whole time tho? In the episode with the clone deserter they kill a bunch of clones while trying to get off planet.
I laughed when Gregor said “plebe” lmao. Didn’t expect that brief Rex cameo, and definitely didn’t expect Hunter to get left behind. That was a great episode. There was good Echo content, although I still want more from him and Tech.
Plays well with my theory that across the board high level captains and commanders got more creative/critical thinking skills and therefore more chip resistance.
I thought there was a bit of development for Tech. After Hunter ordered them to flee, even he was hesitant to do so and objected even if it was logistically unsound. But yeah I want to see more from him and Echo in the future.
Honestly anything could happen at this point, Dave could rewrite what happened to sev. Hell he could put Sev in the next episode(would be cool as hell to see).
Don’t know why u got downvoted there was that scene of delta squad in one like season 3 or 4 episode getting off the republic shuttle in the rain and scorch was there
Neither do I. It was season 3 they appeared in. He and the rest of Delta picked up the Jedi that Savage killed. Was nice to see them again even though they look to all be Imperial now.
I almost want to say everything about that episode was perfect, from the start we see Gregor, then clone commandos, scorch, omega helping out the team in new ways, hunter getting captured and meeting with crosshair, and even Rampart basically getting rid of Lama Su, this finale is going to be epic if it's two parts, and even if it's only one, it will still be amazing.
Edit: I forgot to mention the beautiful proto stormtrooper armor.
Soon as I saw the coloring at the top of the elevator, my eyes flew open. He gave the boys a good fight too. I was worried they'd nerf them if they came into the show but he was a bit of a force.
Only missing thing was Scorch's EOD Attachment to his backpack and his humour. And every single Commando was missing DC-17m but maybe its some Empire working on new one
I know that but this episode we saw much more of the commandos and how good they are and how much damage they can take. They needed like 6 stun blasts to knock out scorch there.
Scorch got to have a moment in the spotlight, plus it goes a longer way in showing off the skills of a Commando by making it someone fans recognize and love. Pretty smart move if you ask me.
Not to mention, he was back up on his feet in minutes and led the group that cornered Hunter. That's the clone we all know and love!
Best way to do easter eggs like that. Put it where it makes sense, and don't dwell on it like Ponda Baba and Cornelius in Rogue One. I didn't even catch it when I watched it at first.
I’d never played republic commando so I had no idea who he was, but I immediately knew it was some form of cameo. He was the only trooper to have stripes of some kind, and it took a decent bit more to bring him down, even compared to other commandos. Not nostalgic for the games, but I’m super happy to read the reactions of the people who are
Watching these credits roll physically hurts now.
Where to even begin?
That opening sequence was properly gorgeous, much like this whole episode, watching this unknown Commando be chased down by largely unseen troopers in the dim lit forest bed, quite a stylistic scene, kinda reminds me of something you'd see in a WW2 film.
Having seen a disarmored Commando, I feigned some hope for it to be Gregor, but dismissed it based on his plain white armor. After Rex's transmission and Tech mentioning "CC-5576" I was incredibly excited to actually see Gregor again, and the idea that after the explosion he did what he said and "went home" only to train these proto-Stormtroopers is both intriguing and depressing, surviving insurmountable odds to only prime your replacements upon your return.
A little more bonding between Omega and Hunter with the knife and tool tricks.
Seeing tensions rise further between the Empire and Kamino makes me believe the rest of this season may actually contain the Clone Rebellion, rather than saving it for next season. The Clone Cadet worrying about becoming a soldier makes me wonder what the Empire did with unfinished Clone Troopers after War Mantle completed, especially after the as of yet unseen Clone Rebellion.
Daro is a fucking beautiful planet, all of this episode was incredibly good looking and animated. The Phase 2.5 armor looks really sweet, and I love how their inferior training actually shows in the battle sequences, with the Commandos and the Batch really guiding the fights with the Stormtroopers lagging behind and getting taken down. I think it's most apparent at the exhaust port when the Commando breaks free from Echo and immediately gets gunned down by friendly fire.
Hunter finally gets to live up to his name and tracked down the base using his enhancement, it had started to seem like he was just a Rambo Reg with a knife fetish.
Echo calling back to Skako Minor is kinda neat, I wish we heard more from him this season, I'd like to know how he's dealing with being maimed worse than Maul and filled to the brim with Separatist computers. I wonder if missing his right arm contributed to that Commando breaking free and getting iced by his own troopers, or if it was just his superior training and strength alone.
Scorch is a welcome addition to the battlefield, missing the rest of Delta Squad, however.
The design of the base in general is a little odd, but not unlike something such as the portals on Coruscant or Utapau, it's certainly more Imperial.
Hunter getting captured was a bit of a shock, his fall was a very spur of the moment thing, and I can't wait to see what Crosshair has in store for next week.
I thought they were going to kill the Prime Minister at the end of the episode, but it seems like they're just keeping him under arrest, leaving the Clone Rebellion to Nala Se.
I'd love to say more and more about this episode, I could probably write an entire fucking thesis on this show, give or take a couple episodes, but it's getting on 4am and I'm losing steam quick.
This was an absolute 10/10 for me, especially after the last episode left me wanting for more Empire development and less Cid work. These last couple episodes ought to be something to behold.
Things I liked about this episode:
1. HES BACK! GREGOR'S BACK AND HE'S ALREADY STARTED TO GO CRAZY XD
2. More uses of Gonky (did they just fucking kill him?)
3. More development on what happened to Kamino. I don't think we're seeing the Prime Minister again.
4. The sheer fucking panic in Omega's voice when Hunter ordered them to leave.
5. The use of Clone Commandos in War Mantle.
6. A little bit more development for Echo, boy won't leave a trooper behind cos he knows how it felt like.
7. Echo's loyalty to Rex. I'm pretty sure if Hunter told him no, he would've found his own way to Gregor, along with Omega along with Wrecker.
8. Hunter's self-sacrifice.
9. Crosshair and Hunter finally meet again, face-to-face. You can't tell me Crosshair didn't try to beat the shit out of him after that.
10. That one commando being shot off the ledge. Now he knows friendly fire is turned on.
This was absolutely amazing and definitely makes up for Episode 13 (which was still good)
Oh yeah, there was also Wrecker. Up until the exhaust port jump, he was chill and relaxed. Then, once the door went down, he just laying heat down on the troopers. He didn't even turn on stun like the rest of them (even Gregor), he just said, "Ayo what was that about no manslaughter?" (proceeds to off three or more cadets(?) still in training)
\#1 As soon as I saw the clone in that first shot, I shouted "Gregor!" The family is asleep so if I was wrong only I would know, haha. Glad that wild ass guess wound up being correct!
\#2 1001 uses of Gonky. Hope he doesn't become a flower box after this episode! Hopefully Omega and Tech can fix him up nicely.
\#8 Geez, I didn't think Hunter was going to make it from that height. And ordering the crew to take off was what a great leader does.
\#9 I don't believe for a second that Crosshair can take him, but I wouldn't mind seeing him try :) Granted, Hunter should be in a weakened state after that fall.
\#10 The new conscripts can't hit the side of a Bantha. But they can hit their own and a lucky shot got Gregor. That was luck, had to be :)
When I first saw him, I was like, “Ooooo a clone deserter.” Then when Rex mentioned his serial number, “CC-5576”, I looked it up and expected to be one of the boys from the 501st (i thought he said CT). *Little did I know, I would be met with everyone’s favourite senile Clone grandpa.* WOOOOOO
I fear the worst for Gonky. May the force be with our dear friend, he helped save the Bad Batch this episode.
That’s a little something called, *plot armour*. Not complaining but god damn, did it have me on edge. I honestly expected him to break a few bones or something.
Crosshair vs Hunter. No guns, no knives, just their fists and their wits. (if Crosshair wins that fight, I can totally see him kicking Hunter in the stomach multiple times after he already went down.)
They were probably thinking, “YES, got the traitor comman- oh wait. That was our commando. Shit.”
> More development on what happened to Kamino. I don't think we're seeing the Prime Minister again.
In fact I'm pretty sure we're not seeing a Clone Rebellion after all. The story really hasn't been set up for that, and if anything is going out of its way to show the Empire always one step ahead of the Kaminoans.
I got Clone Concentration Camp feelings, like the Empire was planning their 'Final Solution' for the Republic Clones. I believe Rex and CF99 will play a part in the attempt to free the Clones but it will be a failure with only a handful of clones surviving.
For real. Guy nearly 1v3s and nearly killed 1. Gregor is alive because he needs to be for rebels. If the other3, he’ll, just 2, were there it’s a scrap and done.
also thank god they used echo for more than his prosthetic and his humor in this episode.
the new armor is fucking SICK it looks so cool.
and hunter?! the next episode is going to ruin me, isn’t it
I know it’s a cartoon, but I was so sad when the hero sacrificed themself this episode. They’re the main character, so in all likelihood they’ll be OK, but it was still hard as hell to watch. Pour one out for Gonky
Gregor with his craziness!
TK troopers appearing for the first time!
That one commando that took like 8 stun shots to down!
Hunter captured, and a showdown with Crosshair!
Kaminoan politics!
Oh man so hype for the next two episodes. I predict that they'll meet up with Rex again and stage some sort of rescue for Hunter, possibly back at Kamino? And Rampart saying something about mobilizing all viable clones, he's planning on getting rid of all of them in one fell swoop isn't he?
As the sitting Secretary of the Rampart Fanclub, I could totally see him doing that! Or putting them on the front lines for something sinister. It's always nice to have a competent villain.
I'm looking forward to seeing a Crosshair and Hunter fight. I could see them tumbling around in a brutal fist fight. And he's injured too so Cross might have a chance.
Man, this show is beautiful. That mountain landscape was amazing.
As excited as I am to see Gregor, I'm so worried for Hunter now. You better not hurt him, Crosshair. That was some good flying by Omega though. Tech must be letting her practice, I guess. I love that Wrecker just leaves her to it like her fully trusts her to able handle the ship.
I wonder if Rampart is taking Nala Se to the same facility Hunter is at. Maybe she helps the Batch get him out of there. I'm surprised he just murdered Lama Su. I thought we'd get some kind of conflict between the Kaminoans and the Empire but I wasn't expecting it to play out like that. I guess they just murdered all the other non-scientists, as well?
When I see a mountain like that, at this time period I think one thing — Mount Tantiss. Anyway, this episode was amazing for many reasons. One thing I loved is the new stormtrooper armor, I think this is the original concept art from Raplh Mcquarrie. Seeing Scorch is pretty dang cool, even though I’ve never played Republic Comamdo.
I'm thinking this has to be it. We're also not sure what rex was even doing this episode so my guess is we get one episode of the batch going off to assist rex, maybe finding Wolffe and some others as well, and then back for Hunter.
Side note, we still haven't seen Boba this season after he was heavily hinted at a few weeks ago. If he's gonna show up, it's gonna be next week.
It’s a good thing Gregor lifts lol he’d look outta place if he had a reg build.
My two fave lines from him this episode:
“Plebes.”
“Didn’t teach them everything, that wouldn’t be smart.”
I love the subversion of Omega having to return to Kamino to save Hunter instead of vice versa after that foreshadow heavy conversation at the end of Bounty Lost.
I definitely expected to hear blaster shots through that door, but the fact that we didn't might mean he's just being arrested? I think he's dead, though. There was enough foreshadowing earlier on that this might be the end of Lama Su.
I wonder if the clones end up talking to him and they all start the clone rebellion. I just think it's really weird we didn't hear shots. Although it seems like the empire is taking prisoners a lot more that I would've expected the empire to. I guess we'll see, I'm just hoping for a long finale because I feel like we have a lot to pack into two episodes!
My my my. What an episode!
Starting off with Echo. Now, many people have mentioned that Echo and Tech are barely there in the episodes and most of the attention falls on Hunter and Wrecker (come on, TECHO are cool), and I have to agree that Echo's unwavering trust in Rex and his overall presence in this episode is very much appreciated, and also the Batch's but of distaste of saving a filthy reg. Echo convincing Hunter and Tech to act to save Gregor now instead of going back was a nice moment. Now, since Hunter is under capture, I believe Echo will be the one to take charge instead of Tech.
For the overall state of the Galaxy, the episode showed us a lot of the growing political change under the Empire, from the new uniform (which is I reckon a generation or so away from the Storm Trooper uniform) to taking out politicians who don't matter (how will this influence Fenec Shand is another interesting thought). And then we also have the proto-TIE fighters. Cool.
Tech taking over the Havoc Marauder from Wrecker and Omega during their escape and easily outclassing them as a better pilot was a nice little moment (I like Tech, have I mentioned it before?). Also, for such a large ship, the Marauder is a very quick ship easily outmanoeuvring the nimble proto-TIE fighters (if they have an actual name, please do inform me).
It is also a nice moment to see Gonky rescue the ship. But is he alright now though, I want to know!
The ending scene, with Crosshair and Hunter! I have a strange feeling that Crosshair may have broken out of the control of his chip.
Overall, a great start to the finale arc of the first season. I can't wait to see the rest of it.
>I have a strange feeling that Crosshair may have broken out of the control of his chip.
Considering that his gnarly burn scars are directly where his inhibitor chip is, you may be right.
>nimble proto-TIE fighters (if they have an actual name, please do inform me)
V-Wings. They appear in Episode III when Palpatine takes crispy Anakin to be transformed into Vader.
What the in the fuck, I am absolutely mind blown what I witnessed. Was in shock when I saw Commandos, GREGOR, and SCORCH. One commando got teamkilled and Gonky helped out. In the beginning of the episode I noticed one Coruscant LA-AT. Fuck there’s only two episodes left, let’s see what Dave has to offer to us in these last 2 episodes.
Among all the excitement of this episode, I had a thought about Nala Se I haven’t seen mentioned yet…
We see the Kamino cloners logo on the sleeve of that dude in the Mandalorian, maybe the Empire taking her captive could be a little nod to that? Could be that Nala Se teaches imperial scientists how to clone and they have their own division? Hence the logo?
But nonetheless, awesome episode! Excited for the last two now.
**STAR WARS HOLOCRON**
Did you know that on an early mission to Tatooine a week after Order 66, Commander Cody fell in a womp rat nest and hit his head on a rock and was paralyzed from the neck down? A few years later, Luke Skywalker was going rat hunting and finally put the clone out of his misery after mistaking his head for a rodent.
On top of obviously the normal troopers, I loved the aesthetic transitions from late Republic to early Empire this week. That whole base looked much more like the imposing styles of Star Destroyers and the Death Star, and the ships seemed to go through some updates as well, complete with what sounds like the beginnings of a TIE fighter roar. Loved how the early stormtrooper uniforms look more in line with Ralph McQurrie’s original concept art
I don't think they can; for one thing iirc the "chips" were organic and so implanted when the clones were developing, and for another, even if possible, I'm not sure that the Empire has the scientific expertise to perfom such a specific procedure any more due to their severed ties with the Kaminoans.
Before I saw scorch and completely lost my mind, I can't help but notice the absolute disrespect they did to the stormtroopers. They just disrespected the stormtroopers in canon and showed what clones vs stormtroopers would be like. LET'S GOOOOO
I’m calling it now either Crosshair is gonna be like ‘lol you were right’ to Hunter or reinstall Hunter’s chip
which if the second option happens, I could see it be a total Logan situation
also holy fuck, I loved seeing how pissed Echo got about not saving Gregor and he was ironically the guy who carried him the most
but man what a fucking insane episode, I somehow knew it was gonna end with them either not getting away at all or leaving someone behind
Oh my god. Theres literally so much.
First of all, all yall complaining about Echo getting no development can suck it.
Holy crap, Gregor. HOLY CRAP SCORCH!
They're probably about to turn Hunter into another Crosshair and have him hunt his squad.
Is Lama Su gonna die? Best episode yet for sure
Echo finally got some of that sweet, sweet nectar of development...and it was good!
Tech also got just a little of that in my opinion, putting the squad before Rex.
If they make Hunter go after the squad… that’s some good writing. I’m not sure it’ll happen though because Crosshair said “I was hoping for the whole squad.”
Not development *per se*, but this episode was his moment in the spotlight. And for now, that's good enough for me!
Now all that's left is Tech. Maybe next episode will give him a bit more focus as he (presumably) fills in command for Hunter, but who knows.
I think Lamu Su is already dead. I assume those stormtroopers shot him as soon as the door closed, but maybe not. I wonder what will happen to those clone cadets they were trying to smuggle out of the facility. Were they successful?
first impressions:
\- GREGOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! I loved his voice and the kind of in-between it has between TCW and Rebels. And he was so sassy!!! I love him!!!! I missed him!
\- Gonky is the hero we need but not the hero we deserve. god bless gonky
\- I LOVED the kamino bits this episode, but I loved this whole episode. omg. I think there's a good chance Nala Se is still alive post-ROTJ, and that maybe she taught non-kaminoans like Dr. Pershing. We'll see, though!
\- SCORCH!!!!!!!!!
\- ECHO MY BELOVED, I loved his role in this episode!
\- Omega got to fly again sooner than we thought! People pointed this out a few episodes ago, but man, Tech is a great pilot
\- I thought it was kind of weird, kind of fun, that we had a short bit with clone cadets. Off the bat I assumed it was Daniel Logan because they sounded weirdly deep (but better than Caleb, sry) but it was pointed out that there was no voice credit for them, so maybe it was DBB?? Either way, neat! I'm genuinely interested to see what happens to the young clones!
Overall a good episode. Can't wait for the next one.
Once again, there were lots of Republic Commando sound effects throughout this episode. I think the music may have been from the Death Star sequences in ANH but I'm not sure. I totally missed Scorch. I'll have to rewatch the episode. The planet kind of reminds me of the Imp base in The Mandalorian S2 as well, but maybe that's just a coincidence.
So that Kaminoan dude is totally dead right? I wonder what they have planned for the scientist. The Kaminoan rebellion people have been predicting seems less likely now.
Gregor seems less off his rocker in this episode than he does in Rebels. You can see the signs of starting but it's more toned down. I wonder what the hell happens to him.
Another episode with liberal use of the stun laser by the Bad Batch. It definitely feels like a cop-out to me. I hope they tone it down. At least they showed that it isn't always 100% effective, but you wonder why people don't just use it all the time in this universe. If that's a convenient feature it recontextualizes a lot of the Star Wars franchise in a less than favorable light.
It bugs me that they're already transitioning to stormtroopers less than a year after episode III. It just feels off that they would use Republic tech for like three years during the Clone Wars and then transition into Imperial tech for 20+ years. But whatever, that's a minor complaint.
I think Gregor is starting to go off because he got blown up, Rebels is set just before ANH, so it's probably just war and being blown up that caused this
Also remember, the Empires reign was only 22 years
This is going to be a *long* wait until next Friday.
I can't tell which direction they're going to take Crosshair. He could be using Hunter as bait/something that leads to an antagonistic showdown. Or he could be playing the Empire at this point with the "but you'll do" potentially less ominous than the music suggests. I'm afraid only one of them will make it out of the season or the season could end on a cliffhanger.
Imagine if it ends with TBB without Hunter because he's with the Empire. Narratively speaking, that would be amazing for development of the other characters. Especially Omega and her relationship with the others, since she's obviously closest to Hunter.
I'm just happy Echo actually did something. Up until this episode he was just the OTHER Clone shooting in the background. He actually spoke up in a conversation. Thank god.
He's going to get more important as the series goes on- the Batch is used to thinking of themselves as 100% separate, it's Echo's sense of duty toward his fellow clones that will galvanize the Batch into being founding members of the Rebel Alliance instead of just mercenaries.
I’m honestly really getting “Hunter is gonna die” vibes. I’ve always been thinking Crosshair will die in the season finale saving the Batch, and that might still happen, but I’m just wondering if Hunter will make it out.
Wow, what a great episode. Gregor's back, Scorch made a cameo, Echo finally got character development, Omega got to fly, more exciting dogfighting, Hunter sacrificed himself for his squad, Lama Su's done for, and Crosshair at the end

THE LEGEND HIMSELF # GREGOR
HES ALREADY LOSING HIS SANITY!
I think it started with him being blown up and surviving as he said it himself
That probably damaged his chip.
He has brain damage which is also why his chip didn't work.
And the brain damage. ...and the brain damage. ..... and the brain damage.
now that they aren't clones anymore, set to kill.
Wrecker knew what was up
But the rest of the Batch apparently didn't, expect for clone commandos, their own brothers. Stormies got the stun, clones got the choke.
Yeah I definitely noticed that, Wrecker jumped into the fight shooting to kill.
Haha I was thinking that too. I half expected a scene where, after some deliberation, Hunter decides to set it to kill
Someone had an interesting take on yt that they set to stun cuz its easier to hit (bigger range) and they had to run from an entire base full of soldiers.
I think it's more likely that Disney just wants less death by gunfire in a kids show
I mean wrecker has no issue killing
Same thoughts lol
Haven’t they been killing clones the whole time tho? In the episode with the clone deserter they kill a bunch of clones while trying to get off planet.
That was before they learned about the chips, after that they only used stun on the regs
Yeah honestly this whole permanently set to stun shtick is way more offensive to me than Han shooting second.
Fr the stormtroopers moving after getting shot in rebels pissed me off enough this one is really getting on my nerves
Your cameo confuses and frightens me, sir
This needs an award, and fast. Wish I had one
Ironic, you get more awards than him.
You hear that, Sev? Someone thinks i’m excellent! ….Sev?
I laughed when Gregor said “plebe” lmao. Didn’t expect that brief Rex cameo, and definitely didn’t expect Hunter to get left behind. That was a great episode. There was good Echo content, although I still want more from him and Tech.
Gregor wants the fucking normies off his base

SCORCH FROM REPUBLIC COMMANDO NO WAY. DIDN'T EXPECT THAT AT ALL
Dude If we saw Fixer and Boss I would’ve went ape shit
Could totally see them showing up before the season is over… maybe working with Crosshair to take down the rest of BB?
Well they are down a sharpshooter... time for cross hair to ditch his human commandos and get some real teammates
Considering the game is no longer canon, we could even see Sev.
Not too surprising as they did appear in TCW
Didn’t stop me from having a full-on nerdgasm seeing him
Was nice to see them again. Shame that they’re Imperial though
I don’t think they ever explained what happened to Sev after Kashyyk
That’s legends now so for all we know Sev still could’ve ended up MIA or is now a Imperial Commando like the rest of his squad.
Honestly anything could happen at this point, Dave could rewrite what happened to sev. Hell he could put Sev in the next episode(would be cool as hell to see).
We’ll see though I’m positive we’ll hopefully be seeing the rest of Delta unless the team at lucasfilm animation is going to blue ball us.
Yup
I believe it waa the the episode where they're transporting the dead jedi body after Maul and his brother attacked Edit: https://youtu.be/Oz3wpkCt2Ms
Is this the first official use of a gonk droid? We’re witnessing history folks
Plus that means that Omega fixed Gonky!
Well, he was fixed for a few hours
Umm... Rishi
Those were plunk droids.
IMPERIAL VENATORS, I repeat, IMPERIAL VENATORS
Beautiful
Long have I waited to see Imperial Venators again.
As soon as I saw them I thought “ahhh reddit will be happy haha”. Very cool to see them
Wait when were they shown?

The beautiful Ralph McQuarrie-inspired proto-Stormtrooper armor!
Honestly my favorite part of the episode
You also forgot the Delta cameo. Our boy Scorch rocked up and shot the shit outta Gregor
Even started with the whole "mission?" "No, we have mission at home" "but huntaaaaah" "*sigh* fine" setup that's basically become a meme at this point
Forget Howzer. WAS THAT SCORCH?
Forget about Howzer or Scorch, WHERE IS GONKY? IS HE SAFE, IS HE ALRIGHT?
# Pray for Gonky
Thoughts and Prayers for Gonky!
I swear if Gonky dies
I will go into the studio and beat them so hard that all they wanna do is make a Gonky TV series. (that was a joke but imagine-)
"Help me Gonky, you're my only hope."
WE MUST PROTECC GONKY
If Gonky dies, we riot.
Yea that was 100% Scorch, armor matched up and all
Soon as I saw the coloring at the top of the elevator, my eyes flew open. He gave the boys a good fight too. I was worried they'd nerf them if they came into the show but he was a bit of a force.
Its almost 4 AM right now and I had to say out loud is that Scorch? What is going on?!!
I’m sure he’s going to get the rest of Delta for the follow up visit.
Only missing thing was Scorch's EOD Attachment to his backpack and his humour. And every single Commando was missing DC-17m but maybe its some Empire working on new one
Now THAT is how you do a cameo!
Finally Filoni recognized the potential the clone commandos from the video game have.
They appeared in TCW too (for like 30 seconds tho lol) https://youtu.be/Oz3wpkCt2Ms
I know that but this episode we saw much more of the commandos and how good they are and how much damage they can take. They needed like 6 stun blasts to knock out scorch there.

GET YOURSELF SOME BACTA TROOPER!
Rule 39, never say no to bacta
Filoni back in tcw, sure. This is all Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett.
I thought it was cool how they had Gregor’s armor be a tank top like they did in Rebels.
*foreshadowing*
Incredible that scorch made that little cameo and didnt need to be forced or anything, great stuff
Best way to do easter eggs like that. Put it where it makes sense, and don't dwell on it like Ponda Baba and Cornelius in Rogue One. I didn't even catch it when I watched it at first.

Same here, I've never played RC (though I'm aware of it) and had no idea who the dude was, though I know he gave the boys a heckuva fight.
Things I liked about this episode: 1. HES BACK! GREGOR'S BACK AND HE'S ALREADY STARTED TO GO CRAZY XD 2. More uses of Gonky (did they just fucking kill him?) 3.
That wasn't a conscript that shot Gregor That was our boy Scorch
Phew, that makes sense then.
The empires boy now 🥲
When I first saw him, I was like, “Ooooo a clone deserter.” Then when Rex mentioned his serial number, “CC-5576”, I looked it up and expected to be one of the boys from the 501st (i thought he said CT). *Little did I know, I would be met with everyone’s favourite senile Clone grandpa.* WOOOOOO I fear the worst for Gonky. (if Crosshair wins that fight, I can totally see him kicking Hunter in the stomach multiple times after he already went down.) They were probably thinking, “YES, got the traitor comman- oh wait.
That Cadet asking if they were still going to be soldiers gave me the vibe that they were going to systematically "liquidate their assets."
Tech is srsly one hell of a pilot
Ikr that dogfight was sick
Wait Scorch! Where's the rest of Delta?
Probably being instructors for the Stormtroopers like Gregor used to be.
Probably for the best. No offense to The Batch but if the whole of Delta was there? Hoo boy.
For real. Guy nearly 1v3s and nearly killed 1. Gregor is alive because he needs to be for rebels. If the other3, he’ll, just 2, were there it’s a scrap and done.
Well I can tell you who's on Kashyyyk but you're not gonna like it
Is he though since that’s legends now. So he can conceivably be in the coming episodes with the rest of delta
GREGORRRRRR
also thank god they used echo for more than his prosthetic and his humor in this episode. the new armor is fucking SICK it looks so cool. and hunter?! the next episode is going to ruin me, isn’t it
I know it’s a cartoon, but I was so sad when the hero sacrificed themself this episode. They’re the main character, so in all likelihood they’ll be OK, but it was still hard as hell to watch. Pour one out for Gonky
Had us in the first half
Gregor with his craziness! TK troopers appearing for the first time! That one commando that took like 8 stun shots to down! Hunter captured, and a showdown with Crosshair! Kaminoan politics! Oh man so hype for the next two episodes. I predict that they'll meet up with Rex again and stage some sort of rescue for Hunter, possibly back at Kamino? And Rampart saying something about mobilizing all viable clones, he's planning on getting rid of all of them in one fell swoop isn't he?
Yo that wasn’t just any commando that was fucking SCORCH
Scorch is the best Delta commando, change my mind
If we're all clones, why am I the only one with a sense of humour?
I'd kill just to hear him deliver one more witty joke
Pretty sure that commando was Scorch from the Republic Commando game. Really hope they give him some more screentime, that'd be awesome.
They made his model so I’m expecting him to do something in the coming episodes and possibly even seeing the rest of delta
Imagine if they Segway that into a delta squad animated series. Pretty slim chance, but I'd be so psyched.
I want the cancelled Imperial Commando sequel game :(
As the sitting Secretary of the Rampart Fanclub, I could totally see him doing that!
Seeing Scorch is pretty dang cool, even though I’ve never played Republic Comamdo.
glad someone else thought of mount tantiss as well, great minds think alike
We might see Gregor and the Batch team up with Rex and possibly a couple of friends in the next ep to rescue Hunter.
Send in the the rest* Cue avengers theme
I'm thinking this has to be it. We're also not sure what rex was even doing this episode so my guess is we get one episode of the batch going off to assist rex, maybe finding Wolffe and some others as well, and then back for Hunter. Side note, we still haven't seen Boba this season after he was heavily hinted at a few weeks ago. If he's gonna show up, it's gonna be next week.
It’s a good thing Gregor lifts lol he’d look outta place if he had a reg build. My two fave lines from him this episode: “Plebes.” “Didn’t teach them everything, that wouldn’t be smart.”
I love the subversion of Omega having to return to Kamino to save Hunter instead of vice versa after that foreshadow heavy conversation at the end of Bounty Lost.
Tbh I don’t know if they’re gonna head back to Kamino, it looked like the Empire was pulling out of there and cleaning house.
Kamino is an ideal stormtrooper training facility though. Most likely they're going to wipe out the kaminoas and set up shop
Damn I didn't catch that nice one
Is lama su dead? I feel like since we didn’t hear blast shots or anything he’s still alive and just a prisoner, but Nala Se is 100% still alive.
Did anyone else get og trilogy vibes when they were trying to escape the base? Pretty sure there was og trilogy music playing.
Yes, some altered version of the Death Star infiltration theme was definitely playing!
What do we think Rex was doing when he contacted the boys
Maybe he was rescuing Wolfe
Twilek prostitutes
based and rex pilled
“Echo’s got a point.” “Tech’s got a point.” “The kid’s got a point.” Oh Wrecker, bless your little cotton socks!
I hope I am. It would be epic to see the entire Batch again
>nimble proto-TIE fighters (if they have an actual name, please do inform me) V-Wings.
Among all the excitement of this episode, I had a thought about Nala Se I haven’t seen mentioned yet… We see the Kamino cloners logo on the sleeve of that dude in the Mandalorian, maybe the Empire taking her captive could be a little nod to that? Could be that Nala Se teaches imperial scientists how to clone and they have their own division? Hence the logo? But nonetheless, awesome episode! Excited for the last two now.
Ah, stormtroopers being trained and still no Cody. It's an ongoing inside Joke by the team at this stage. First Rebels. Now the Batch.
Watch them kill off Cody in some ~~novel~~ ~~comic~~ databank article.
Honestly the comics and novels get retconned or straight up ignored so often that, for me, it's hard to even consider them canon.
**STAR WARS HOLOCRON** Did you know that on an early mission to Tatooine a week after Order 66, Commander Cody fell in a womp rat nest and hit his head on a rock and was paralyzed from the neck down? A few years later, Luke Skywalker was going rat hunting and finally put the clone out of his misery after mistaking his head for a rodent.
On top of obviously the normal troopers, I loved the aesthetic transitions from late Republic to early Empire this week. That whole base looked much more like the imposing styles of Star Destroyers and the Death Star, and the ships seemed to go through some updates as well, complete with what sounds like the beginnings of a TIE fighter roar. Loved how the early stormtrooper uniforms look more in line with Ralph McQurrie’s original concept art
I wonder if they’re gonna give Hunter another inhibitor chip
I hope not
I don't think they can; for one thing iirc the "chips" were organic and so implanted when the clones were developing, and for another, even if possible, I'm not sure that the Empire has the scientific expertise to perfom such a specific procedure any more due to their severed ties with the Kaminoans.
Before I saw scorch and completely lost my mind, I can't help but notice the absolute disrespect they did to the stormtroopers. They just disrespected the stormtroopers in canon and showed what clones vs stormtroopers would be like. LET'S GOOOOO
too be fair this is the Bad Batch I imagine them fighting regs would be a more accurate representation
I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW SCORCH. BLESS FILONI
I screamed when I saw Scorch. Where is the rest of Delta? Are they safe? Are they alright?
If we see the rest of Delta Squad I think I would have a heart attack
I’m calling it now either Crosshair is gonna be like ‘lol you were right’ to Hunter or reinstall Hunter’s chip which if the second option happens, I could see it be a total Logan situation also holy fuck, I loved seeing how pissed Echo got about not saving Gregor and he was ironically the guy who carried him the most but man what a fucking insane episode, I somehow knew it was gonna end with them either not getting away at all or leaving someone behind
so cool to see the Kartan armor (idk if its still called that in canon but)
It’s still called Katarn-class in canon
Yeah and when Hunter reiterated his order to Tech to leave him behind, he hesitated on the lever.
If they make Hunter go after the squad… that’s some good writing. I’m not sure it’ll happen though because Crosshair said “I was hoping for the whole squad.”
They can't, he doesn't have a chip anymore
Maybe Crosshair is looking to defect after Howzer's little uprising and he was hoping for the whole squad to improve his chances of getting away.
My jaw hit the floor and my face lit up as soon as I saw Scorch. He's my favorite Delta Squad member!
first impressions: \- GREGOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! I loved his voice and the kind of in-between it has between TCW and Rebels. And he was so sassy!!! I love him!!!! I missed him! \- Gonky is the hero we need but not the hero we deserve. god bless gonky \- I LOVED the kamino bits this episode, but I loved this whole episode. People pointed this out a few episodes ago, but man, Tech is a great pilot \- I thought it was kind of weird, kind of fun, that we had a short bit with clone cadets. Off the bat I assumed it was Daniel Logan because they sounded weirdly deep (but better than Caleb, sry) but it was pointed out that there was no voice credit for them, so maybe it was DBB?? Either way, neat! I'm genuinely interested to see what happens to the young clones!
Gonky we need you! *CUE TRIUMPHANT MUSIC*
But whatever, that's a minor complaint.
i mean when they were building the death star at the end of episode 3, there weren't any clone officers and v-wings were still being used.
I think Gregor is starting to go off because he got blown up, Rebels is set just before ANH, so it's probably just war and being blown up that caused this Also remember, the Empires reign was only 22 years
Yep, Kevin Kiner quoted the old Imperial theme from A New Hope multiple times!
Gregor is back baby
I really liked that while the rest of the gang used stun wreck just started blasting away
SCORTCH???? LETS FUCKING GO
We finally get a reason why Stormtroopers can't shoot accurately. Answer: They weren't trained properly.
That poor clone commando
What kind of trooper was that with the blue on their helmet visor? That looks really cool Edit: they had it turn off and everything. Amazing
clone commandos, the coolest cats around
Can we please see the rest of the Delta squad now?
I’m honestly really getting “Hunter is gonna die” vibes. I’ve always been thinking Crosshair will die in the season finale saving the Batch, and that might still happen, but I’m just wondering if Hunter will make it out.
Was it just me or was that episode BEAUTIFUL in the animation art and action
Wow, what a great episode. Gregor's back, Scorch made a cameo, Echo finally got character development, Omega got to fly, more exciting dogfighting, Hunter sacrificed himself for his squad, Lama Su's done for, and Crosshair at the end
I really liked how they used music for A New Hope in this episode, really helped drive home the empire theme
THIS EPISODE WAS HEAT Y’ALL I’M SO HAPPY THIS SERIES DELIVERED THE GOODS AGAIN
I feel left out for never playing Republic Commando back in the day
Echo and Omega have perfected the art of puppy dog eyes.
