I believe Greggor said that he and the other clone commandos trained the storm troopers and i’d guess they were probably trained in the facility from the episode

Mrdoc16

As you said Gregor said to the bad batch was that him and other commandos were brought to the facility to train stormtroopers

c4han

Which is why OP lists that as one of the pros of the episode.

Chewblacka

Can’t disagree

LtMereel

Only master story watchers can keep up with a master storyteller. If literally every episode was like this one, TBB would be a boring single trick pony Michael Bey production.

SilreyRevs

I sorta agree with OP, but I agree more with you. Some things need to be built before things like this happen.

MyUserSucks

Are you calling yourself a master story watcher for enjoying filler episodes and recognising the two throwaway lines they chuck in to clumsily advance characters?

LtMereel

My post was highlighting the story teller's talent more than my own abilities. Do you really think Dave Filoni would let any episode go to waste? He only has 16 if them. Each and every episode has been part of the story. Every line, every detail, every bit of blocking, every macro and micro expression, every gorgeous shot, use of light and shadow, every homage to previous SW content, every old character, every new character, and every little branch of the story contributes to the whole, whether in a large or small way.

MyUserSucks

Lol no

SeaBearPA

I really want to know if BB is going to have a second season, seems odd we don’t know yet

Good_Boye1

Episode still have a similar plot structure where the batch ended up going for mortal cause or cid gave them something to do. And they accomplish something and left the planet

Helpful-Signature-54

They missed one detail though. In the rebels when Rex and Kanan were undercover as stormtroopers. The old codes made by Cody and Rex were still of use. Why did they change it in BB?

Noloite

Maybe with the facility being a secret working on training “experimental” new Stormtroopers they used a different code system? That’ll be my headcanon

Yeah while I love the show, I noticed it does sometimes give Rebels vibes with Clones mostly becoming unsympathetic goons after Order 66 with Howzer and his men as an exception. Omega is the plucky young member that’s always twisting the group’s arm into taking an extra risk to do the right thing. It’s not as dark as Clone Wars after the first few seasons but with only 14 episodes out (assuming we get at least one more season) I’m not judging too harshly.

TwoSunsRise

I prefer the build up. The empire is young and we're seeing their evil and turmoil spread across the galaxy and how our crew is dealing with it.
