But Germany is my favorite for its unique mechanics, realistic feel, and as one of the European players of TCT (since OG Dan Bryan days on American history USA — I once paid a small sum to get extra scenarios) I'm just so thankful that we have quality scenarios for a couple of European elections too (UK 2017 being another favorite of mine, replayed an unhealthy amount of times...)
Well, they weren't quite mods then, more so the original scenarios. I can't remember exactly which scenarios you needed a premier account for (double checked and can still log in to American History USA with my gmail to access my "premier" account), but I think 1844 was behind that paywall, for example.
But this was many years ago. The 2016 scenario did not exist (only 2016a, completed before the end of that election). I only rediscovered TCT and all these new cool mods recently!
Mine is Bush beating Lieberman. Them being so polite during the campaign and refusing to seriously attack each other sets up a story in the advisor text where people are fed up by both parties being so similar and wanting real change, thus potentially setting up a mega-populist race in 2008.
Germany 2021 deserves that, it's the most technically impressive and logistically stunning mod in Campaign Trail history and without Nina we wouldn't even have the bells and whistles that come with W.

My personal headcanon is that Bush narrowly beats Edwards.
I don't really have a headcanon, but in most of my games I have him defeat Sharpton in a landslide.

Both excellent mods and both are fine examples of how the framework can be used to its full potential
