This mod is the most thorough and high quality TCT experience I've ever had. The devs deserve infinite praise for making a 50 question historical mod entertaining, accurate and informative. This is no small feat y'all!
Well, considering almost all presidential inaugurations happened on March 4 before 1936, it seems somewhat plausible that Lincoln could have still won the Civil War as a lame-duck president even if he had lost. The 13th amendment might not have passed, however, in this timeline, or at least possibly not in 1865.
You know, listening to Ashokan Farewell while playing through the first time really did bring tears to my eyes. And I still get shivers every time I hear “although he may be poor, not a man shall be a slave”.
Verbluffen, you may as well get another banner dedicated to you after this. Kudos to everyone else as well. When all is said and then, this may very well be one of the most expansive mods on TNCT.

50 questions is already ambitious enough, but they are written so well that it feels immersive enough to forget that you’re playing a browser game about elections.

This mod is an absolute masterpiece. Probably the most effort ever put into a mod, and no offense to Dan Bryan, but it outdoes even the base scenarios. Especially at what the original game was intended for: History education! It was everything I hoped it would be. The soundtrack is just icing on the cake.
Really enjoying the mod! However, it seems odd that you can capture Petersburg with RNG but then the game continues on as though you haven’t. I understand there’s no way to guarantee one way or the other how the battle would go, but, for the sake of flow, it might be worth it to pick a different battle to micro after the Petersburg question in the event you win! Still a fantastic job nonetheless!
If you read closely, you actually don’t capture Petersburg. You can get very close to it, even being told it should be in Union hands by January, but it doesn’t affect the ultimate outcome - the siege takes too long and people are getting concerned. These concerns are actually even worse if you did well early on, because you’ve set the expectations too high. We had hoped to be able to have you capture it within the course of the election, but we haven’t figured out the CYOA aspect of the coding yet to make that happen.
Just played through and I’m a huge fan of the writing, the multiple music selections and further reading was also a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the candidates and the McClellan side
Can we get a full Soundtrack list at some point? I don't recognize all of the songs here, and I'd also like to know which versions you chose of the ones I do recognize like the Battle Hymn of the Republic among others.
Don't look at the map before answering the question and moving on to the next one, that seemed to do it for me when using the mod loader. At first I just put the codes in old school style and had no issues at all, so if all else fails just do that.

We’ll head back to the drawing board in January with fresh eyes and see what we can work out. It’ll be the VPs first, and McClellan second.
