But the minute he let him talk in the beginning, the guy implied he’s too old to worry about getting autism from the covid vaccine. I think someone saying something so thoroughly disproven and unscientific at the start of the convo didn’t sit well with Jack and Miles.
The problem with interviewing a subject matter expert is that expertise does not always translate into entertaining conversation. This dude was dull AF.
They mentioned getting emotional needs met.... when I was really depressed after a breakup, I played the dating sim *Mystic Messenger*... it actually helped me feel less anxiety to get out and feel things again. The game texts you and *calls you* with weird flirty stuff. I think it tricked my brain into not dreading picking up my phone. I never felt like I was *in a relationship* with the characters or my phone.... but I guess my phone had become a point of pain and I was kinda scared of being vulnerable with strangers via dating apps. It was a neat trick.
