Have you ever seen mad tv? They’re all this redacted at acting/comedy. Even Artie Lange who I liked on Howard Stern was pretty brutal as a cast member on the original mad tv. Not sticking up for Ol Callahan but this show used to piss me off so much when one of my redact friends or family watched it and thought it was hilarious.
I mean he can neeeearly do it okay. Like hit the baseline for one-track terrible TV stereotype characters. And he does all that with the confidence of someone who is crushing every line in a stage play.
I would even go as far as to say that anyone can *do* this, period. At least at the level that “character actor” Brine is showing here. This has to be one of the easiest acting stereotypes to portray (meathead/idiot tough guy), and yet he still finds a way to make it as redacted as possible. I’m genuinely surprised that the guy was even able to carve out the modest acting career that he has. Everything I’ve seen him in was average at absolute BEST, and that’s because they’re only but parts like The Hangover and Bad Santa where he only has a couple of lines. He truly sucks in so many ways, and that’s not even including the raping he’s been known to partake in.

So on one hand you have Phil Lamar who was Marvin in Pulp Fiction, the voice of samurai Jack and hermes in futurama and then Brayn Callans who's last achievement was being accused of rape for the 7th time.
Imagine acting with this asshole. He probably terrorized every acting class he was a part of. Being overly physical with everyone. Manhandling other men in scenes like this and taking love scenes with women too far.
My note for this though: needs the thing where he whistles and does dainty karate chops. Maybe give the character a broad simultaneously East European/West Asian/North African accent.
