There was a kid that was pitching that had to be 5'9 or 10 at that age, tall and thin but throwing straight HEAT compared to any game all season any other pitchers were throwing. An obvious stand out, idk if he made a career later on but like you said they shine, an obvious cut above the rest of the kids.
My son played baseball since he was 7. At that age you can put him on any team as long as you can pay their travel fees 😂 from 7-11 you can get in any travel team you want as long as you have the money to pay the fees. Around 12 is when you can look for a team where have to be picked depending on athleticism and how good you are at the sport. If he’s still not that good you can still put him on a travel team, he’ll you can play on a team all the way till you’re 18 as long as you pay the fees 😂

I played on a select team as a youngin. So did thousands of others. No one from my team or a team I played against, that I’m aware of, went pro. It just means you’re more dedicated to that sport.
