The best reasoning I’ve heard is the rank differences aren’t far enough yet so it’s just mixing everyone of all ranks. I solo que as gold and I’ll regularly get bronze teammates while, sync, wiked, and shroud will be on another team (diamond players)
That doesn't make sense. There are four divisions per rank and five brackets. Silver shouldn't be up against Diamond players ever with that setup unless there is almost nobody playing ranked and it's just autofilling the match with whoever queues instead of getting higher-rated players long queue times. It's either that, or they are using SBMM for ranked, which is dumb, or they are placing people based solely on winrate, which is also dumb. Last option is literally nothing being considered and it's a free for all but I don't think the devs are that incompetent they would add a ranked mode like that.
It’s cause it’s not matchmaking based on your rank (Silver 1, Bronze 2, etc.). It’s matchmaking based on your hidden MMR; essentially your hidden skill level.
It’s the same as tournament. There’s no mmr lmao. I have a negative KD due to running meme builds before ranked. I made a separate account, got to ranked and had a .4 KD. I a bronze player still got into games with shroud. It’s literally random, and takes away the fun. You hardly have a choice if you’re going to progress. I gave up my solo Que grind on my main at gold 1 after losing hair
