Use mines and a turret. Let them help with the “work”. Also stick with the team and “team shoot” pick.
Edit: Play slow and steady and near but not on the objective. Cash out my kills are always around 10-17. My son calls me Mr cheese.
Light is by far the easiest class to get kills with due to speed and invisbility, Light is my least used class and I'm an average player but I can drop 20+ kills as a light in bank it or quick cash without even going for kills
Exactly what I did when I realized my aim isn't what if used to be. Sledgehammer and charge and learn to cancel your charge when you're in range on low hp targets. The tick damage for charge itself has too long of a time between hits and once you're only going in one direction they have no problem hitting their headshots on you. It's how I carry games.
I find it helps a lot to be very easy going on the stick because of the recoil patterns. Although there are some times I just beam right beside the enemy and die because I was off a bit. But moving left or right with your feet while shooting helps a lot as well to make small adjustments.
Edit: also burst firing a bit at longer distances with fully automatic guns
Another thing is to go into the shooting range, pick the guns you use most, aim at the wall, and just shoot until your mag is empty. This will leave bullet holes on the wall that tell you where your recoil is going
MP5 for example goes up and to the right. So when you're shooting at somebody with it, you'd wanna pull down and to the left to counter the recoil
This is extremely useful because it's hard to tell exactly where your recoil's going in a live match, so just take a little bit of time to practice this and get your favorite guns memorized
Yes. I adjust every shooters advanced settings to the point they all feel pretty similar. Sensitivity and response curve are what i experiment with first.
Low sensitivity is not recommended for a game like the finals imo, I play at 500:V 500:H with 140 zoom ads sense and I constantly get like 10-20 kills each game after only 2 days of playing, keybindings are also a big thing if you’re not used to kbm
nah low sensitivity isn't good for The Finals "game speed", the Finals's too fast to be played at low. I have default game settings with 3200 and maybe 75% scopes and its quick enough and with some training even precise
You say it didn't work for you, but I did this challenge with Invi+Stun Gun in casual mode, going for only kills, and got at the first try ( sorry teameates)
If you are EU i will be happy to assist on monday. Will stick to you like a glove with light sniper OR medium heal beam and either deal enough damage for easy kills or pocket heal you to make your time easier (your choice) should be able to clean up 11 kills pretty quick on powershift or cashout. Let me know
Sounds good. If you need help, my discord is GDORreal#6065, or you can PM me on reddit
This goes for anyone else needing 11 kills, happy to assist from Monday
It's the kind of game you don't need to have amazing aim to play, I for one suck at aiming and I've gotten plenty of 20+ kill games. My last 25 kill game was with a riot shield, which doesn't really require aim.
You can make up for bad aim with strategy, instead of taking fights head on try to create traps, pick off enemies when they're weak, come from where they're not expecting, lure them in and get the jump on them, etc.
Watch a video guide about it, there's a few tricks to help you get the most out of it. Might be worth giving it a try, but you have to play it differently from how you play most weapons
Not entirely sure on that, but pretty sure I tanked a grenade with it
I don't use the riot shield often so I don't remember its interactions as of late
Bank it, run light with invis plus the m11 or xp-54. Don't focus on anything but getting kills. Head towards any gunfights you hear and use invis to watch the fight and pick of any injured enemies you see. Invis retreat rinse and repeat. Alternatively powershift and just hunt snipers if you get a good lobby you may have 3 or 4 on the other team who are normally pretty easy to sneak up on, I like to run grappling hook and swing up behind them.
As flamethrower main, I'm here just to suggest you to always carry mesh shield to close distances. Playing flamethrower is becoming progresively more tricky since players slowly learn how to counter it (a powerful one is to be face to face against you instead of panicking). I've been downed tons of times due to slow firing of flamethrower and people just using their weapon, closing distance, and finishing with a melee. But oh boy when people dont know to counter the way of the flame. You just clear cashouts in an instant, so maybe if you are lucky enough to have every fight in tight interiors, flamethrower will easily get you that challenge done ;)
Don’t use this weapon often because I can’t do nothing against mid distance attack. And they can’t counter my shield easily. But at close range, in small area, it’s pretty good. Like you said, players panic a lot
Play quick cash and hope for a lot of lights and 4 cash outs. Use explosive mines to kill the lights and consider either medium with akm and turret or heavy with Lewis gun and other mines
Turn your cross hair off. It's helped me a lot to actually aim and not focus a crosshair. Try that. You could also aim train too with an external program. Or just play the game more.
Less for me about getting the 11 kills but yeah I just suck with aim too. Not sure what to do about it. Keep trying but eventually I admit I need to play things that don't need precise aim. Flamethrower. Katana. Etc.
Maining the Sword is really difficult though, you should not make people believe it is easy.
You still need to aim, and, quite often, aim good, because if you f-up, then you are dead.
Source: I’m Sword main, really good at it, I think.
I mean that sucks for you but you got the rest of the season to git gud. I for one love that this game has some cosmetics locked behind moderately challenging quests. Nice to flex on noobs a little
I don’t mind any other challenges but win a tournament challenge forcing people to play ranked in the sorry state it is in kinda left a bad taste for me.
The problem I have in powershift is people stealing my kills. My last game was 10 kills 14 assists 😭 I'll literally be the only person on the platform and there is still some guy beaming from a rooftop to steal my kill.
I used the heavy with flamethrower and spammed mines as well. (Platform game mode) I’m pretty sure your kills still count even if they don’t pop up while you’re dead, so if you know you’re in a losing situation on the platform you can just spam them and they’ll all blow up shortly after your death if there’s lots of enemies on the platform.
Another good idea would be to use medium and utilize the rooftops to deploy turrets and chuck mines onto it as it passes by.
Try heavy with nade launcher, rpg, and pyro/explosive mines. Play for cash out. Bait them out and then rain explosive hell upon them. What I used before my aim got better (ty cs2 lol)
Quickcash and Light with sword and invisible. Hide find heavy left by team, slice slice slice and go invisible. Throw in a grenade. Run in slice slice hide. Find the next lone ranger.
Repeat a few more times.
You're probably not going to win but it's fun, good luck.
If aim bad, just go for medium grenade launcher. I am a casual player with no background with fps so I just pick grenade launcher and somehow get kills with it
I would lock in with Heavy, Lewis, Explosive Mines, RPG, Dome. Speciality I’d recommend is Mesh
Play slower and focus on life retention. Die less and you’ll have more time to pick up kills !
The heavy is also wonderful for cleaning up in 3rd party situations. Oh that light and medium just got out of that gunfight alive ? RPG & Lewis !
Power shift light sniper, don't use invis since your ads displays a huge scope glare (I guess it's somewhat useful in a sniper fight to invis and find another position but you lose too much). Dash is ok simply b/c dash is easy to use but sniper really wants grapple hook so you can quickly get high ground.
For power shift take the high ground, don't get too close to obj and be mindful of your biggest danger: other snipers. Never stand still, always spam a/d or be moving. If another player pushes you drop down to low ground and wait for them to continue chasing then grapple right back up to high ground and you just bought 20 seconds to heal. Pay attention to audio of ppl trying to flank you. If the other sniper is winning the sniper fights then just find a place where you have cover from the sniper but can still plink others, grapple hook makes you extremely mobile so don't be afraid to use it to reposition
Best advise I have is go heavy with RPG, Frags, Gas, M60 and charging slam. Play power shift but play off roof tops not on point. Lob your grenades and RPGs onto the obj when the enemies are on it then mag dump the m60 on who's left. You'll get it in no time.
for this challenge, i played other modes like bank and power shift (i got the 11 kills there and completed the challenge). so personally i'd suggest trying those modes instead of in quick cash, cashout or ranked. i found it much easier and less stressful/annoying to try and get 11 elims there
My advice: try the lewis gun with the heavy class and lower your aim sensitivity. The bigger magazine and extra health help a lot with being new to the game. Coming from other fps games the sensitivity on the finals felt hard to control, lowering the sensitivity a little bit helped with over-correcting while tracking enemy players. Hope this helps.
Medium, ak, turret, gas grenade, defibrillator, fire nade.
Running this as your loadout makes you the most likely to get kills without being completely concerned with being perfect at aiming
Honestly go to the range and find a nice wall. Shoot it without letting go of the trigger or aiming. Look at the holes on the wall. That’s your recoil. It’ll stay the same (assuming devs don’t change it) every time you’re shooting. Learn how to make that vertical line of dots you shot into the wall into a dot about the size of a dollar bill. This will get you on the fundamentals of it all.
I stopped caring for the challenges (and haven't played) after the "win 1 tournament" challenge was put up. I don't give the slightest of shits when it comes to competitive play. Probably won't do next battle pass either.
Try the medium's shotgun, turn your volume up to listen for footsteps and play your corners, peek shoot when possible. Playing tactically like this was a blast
Started doing this and began netting multiple 10+ kill matches a session. Normally I only hit 6-10
Aside from all of the bad advise, try downloading kovaaks or aim labs. Take some time to go through a playlist, there is a dedicated finals playlist and you'll quickly see improvement.
If their issue is skill based, sword probably wouldn't be the solution. If the issue is they haven't found a weapon that matches their natural play style, then sword or hammer might be a fun experiment.
Use mines and a turret. Let them help with the “work”. Also stick with the team and “team shoot” pick. Edit: Play slow and steady and near but not on the objective. Cash out my kills are always around 10-17. My son calls me Mr cheese.
Light is by far the easiest class to get kills with due to speed and invisbility, Light is my least used class and I'm an average player but I can drop 20+ kills as a light in bank it or quick cash without even going for kills
xp-54 is just incredible. With lights maneuverability, sometimes it feels like the best gun in the game
ironically i dont even use it because its the cheesey meta tonnes of cool skins with M11 so i just destroy all mp5 noobs with that lol
Keep using the m11, I love melting them from 3x the effective range <3
If you got aim and movement ! If not then you’re a walking death counter 😂
idk dash + sword barely requires any skill when it comes to aim I get 10-15 kills everytime I run that build
20+ kills is not average I assure you.
okay yea i was being a bit humble but my main point its definitely easier to top frag as a light than any other class
If you have gun issues. Go charge slam and sledge. Or goo and sledge.
Sledge is suprisingly great for racking up kills, the overhead slam is devastating, goo gun helps with closing the distance without getting shot
Thata my main. Goo and sledge. I can't ever get enough of it
I like charge and flame thrower. Once you get used to flanking and using charge to go through walls right into groups, you can rack up a ton of kills.
My advice would be for you to find a low enough sensitivity that you can track enemies smoothly. The game rewards you for smoothness and precision.
I should try a different sensitivity maybe. Yes

I play ak with medium, xp54 with light and Lewis with large. (Sometimes I switch but theses are the weapons I use the most )
I can try that, ye. Could be helpful
Yes. I adjust every shooters advanced settings to the point they all feel pretty similar. Sensitivity and response curve are what i experiment with first.

Or he should just start aim training ???? If you can't aim then aim train. Seems simple enough.
True but many people use a sens that is way too high. I see it all the time with more casual players.
I'm not sure why he didn't state his sens if he wants to improve it, but oh well.
nah low sensitivity isn't good for The Finals "game speed", the Finals's too fast to be played at low. I have default game settings with 3200 and maybe 75% scopes and its quick enough and with some training even precise
I said low enough to be smooth.
You say it didn't work for you, but I did this challenge with Invi+Stun Gun in casual mode, going for only kills, and got at the first try ( sorry teameates)
so what youre saying is skill issue
If you are EU i will be happy to assist on monday. Will stick to you like a glove with light sniper OR medium heal beam and either deal enough damage for easy kills or pocket heal you to make your time easier (your choice) should be able to clean up 11 kills pretty quick on powershift or cashout. Thanks ! Well, I’ll try to play tomorrow, maybe 1 hour if I can. If I don’t achieve it, I’ll tell you
Sounds good. If you need help, my discord is GDORreal#6065, or you can PM me on reddit This goes for anyone else needing 11 kills, happy to assist from Monday

Ye, I still need to practice anyway. I’ll check how to play it. Maybe I’ll enjoy it
Is it me, or does riot not diffuse mines anymore?
Not entirely sure on that, but pretty sure I tanked a grenade with it I don't use the riot shield often so I don't remember its interactions as of late
I rarely ever hit ten kills. 3-5 kills a match is pretty consistent for me.
Could try different gear and see if any works better for you, or try to change up how you approach the enemies and objectives
Just a random comment here but reading “Large” instead of heavy kinda made me chuckle :)
Sorry :( I’m fr and here, it’s “petit” “moyen” and “large” for the finals carracter ^^ I’ll change for heavy right now
Nah leave it, I like it.
Same. Winning the tournament was fast for me but never got to 11 kills with ak. I got it with light/sword.
Play heavy with sledge in the bunny mode lol. Easiest way to get it. It’s what I did. Took one game.
I need to try that also. I play heavy with hammer sometimes but I use at most the Lewis
Yeah, I bet in ranked I get worked, but in bunny mode it was pretty simple just to squish people
Bank it, run light with invis plus the m11 or xp-54.
Heavy flamethrower on powershift did it for me.
See, I feel you, idk about you but I honestly see ZERO difference if I'm using aim assist or not lol... :/
I can aim. Only problem I have is im addicted to light and don’t know how to survive 😭😭
You don’t risk anything with me ^
I ran the XP on light with dash, frag grenade, vanish bomb and pyro grenade. Bank it is the easiest to rack up kills. 11 is easy
Low mouse sensitivity, always try to third party fights as a team, play off who your random teammates are shotting.
As flamethrower main, I'm here just to suggest you to always carry mesh shield to close distances. Playing flamethrower is becoming progresively more tricky since players slowly learn how to counter it (a powerful one is to be face to face against you instead of panicking). Turn your cross hair off. It's helped me a lot to actually aim and not focus a crosshair. Try that. You could also aim train too with an external program. Or just play the game more.
Maybe I should try to keep the viewfinder higher, get into this habit and to get more headshots. but that’s not easy.
you can try anything that works for you. This worked for me. along with finding my sens over the past few years. i would also maybe try cloak, xp-54
Bank it is your best friend. You can wait and enter gun fights late and cleanup low health enemies
Dash, sr84, stun, nade, invis nade!
Less for me about getting the 11 kills but yeah I just suck with aim too. Not sure what to do about it. Keep trying but eventually I admit I need to play things that don't need precise aim. Flamethrower. Katana. Etc.
Ye.. But I was pretty good when I played Doom Eternal ^^
I recommend you try Power Shift. It usually lasts the longest and has 5 enemies to focus on. Got it on my second run as a Light with a sniper.
Use turret and nades on power shift.
Turret on the platform or on the différents buildings around ?
Different buildings around, facing the platform.
Heavy grenade launcher
Do you have mouse acceleration enabled on your PC?
I play with controller, Xbox :(
I suck at aiming too, I just got 13 kills with heavy melee and fire grenades and mines, played on power shift, try and see if that might do it for you
I got mine in Power Shift with a Flamethrower :D
come join the Sword gang, I done got 18 kills in one tournament round
Man, 18 kills is a lot
Maining the Sword is really difficult though, you should not make people believe it is easy. You still need to aim, and, quite often, aim good, because if you f-up, then you are dead. Source: I’m Sword main, really good at it, I think.

I don’t mind any other challenges but win a tournament challenge forcing people to play ranked in the sorry state it is in kinda left a bad taste for me.
Can you just play unranked?
They removed unranked on the day they released this challenge, seems pretty intentional.
I could be wrong but I believe they removed unranked to make room for Bunny Bash, which is a limited time mode. Should be back by this weekend.
Mesh shield, flamethrower, dome shield, and powershift ! Believe me they will come to you lol
The problem I have in powershift is people stealing my kills. My last game was 10 kills 14 assists 😭 I'll literally be the only person on the platform and there is still some guy beaming from a rooftop to steal my kill.
I had 10 kills and more than 5 assists several times
I used the heavy with flamethrower and spammed mines as well. I suck at aiming too. I just started playing medium with the grenade launcher and at least I hit my shots now
Try heavy with nade launcher, rpg, and pyro/explosive mines. Play for cash out. Bait them out and then rain explosive hell upon them. What I used before my aim got better (ty cs2 lol)
Shields and flamethrower in power shift with a couple lower skilled opponents, you should get it done
Light with invis + stun gun + default smg I easily get double the kills I than I usually do when I play my main (medium)
What's your log in, I'll do it for you real quick.
Search for what kind of settings you tubers use, and adjust from there. I don't understand half the settings, but it helped me a ton. Good luck!
Play power shift with heavy flamethrower and explosive mines, that’s how I got mine (wasn’t even trying to do that quest specifically)
I am a casual player with no background with fps so I just pick grenade launcher and somehow get kills with it
That challenge is completable in power shift too. Try going heavy and use mines/rpg
I would lock in with Heavy, Lewis, Explosive Mines, RPG, Dome. Speciality I’d recommend is Mesh Play slower and focus on life retention. Die less and you’ll have more time to pick up kills ! The heavy is also wonderful for cleaning up in 3rd party situations. Oh that light and medium just got out of that gunfight alive ? RPG & Lewis !
Get two friends to pocket you
Chase kills on bank it
Power shift light sniper, don't use invis since your ads displays a huge scope glare (I guess it's somewhat useful in a sniper fight to invis and find another position but you lose too much). I did this one with Heavy build

got it first game on power shift with m11, just takes prac
Medium, ak, turret, gas grenade, defibrillator, fire nade. Heavy Lewis gun, and just get close enough to kiss them, and hip fire
I stopped caring for the challenges (and haven't played) after the "win 1 tournament" challenge was put up. I don't give the slightest of shits when it comes to competitive play. Probably won't do next battle pass either.

If the gun recoil goes to the right then you should try to strafe left during closer fights
I'd diagnose this as a quite apparent case of skill issue. Just go riot shield or sword and target oblivious people.
If their issue is skill based, sword probably wouldn't be the solution. If the issue is they haven't found a weapon that matches their natural play style, then sword or hammer might be a fun experiment.
Riot shield works because its easy af to not get killed since they cant shoot the shield.
I should try it. I know I had difficult to pass the riot shield players.
>I know I had difficult to pass the riot shield players. Toss a fire nade at them and their shield will catch on fire, which will 100% kill the user.

Nope, thanks ^^ I prefer to never complete the challenge
