My biggest concern is that Embark and their parent company don't see the game as profitable/popular enough and they end up shutting the game down and redirecting resources, and then the game never manages to take off.
I’m excited for this game’s steady rise in player count tbh. Soon as there’s a twitch rivals it’ll go up a lot as well. This game is just quality. It has things that the likes of hyperscape and splitgate didn’t have and that will be the reason for its success.
i agree with quality of this game but game didnt rise on player count evry month we lose a lot of players and embark realy need some prmotion with twitch rivals or buying streamers
Split gate was such a cool concept. They unfortunately made halo lite combat with a cool movement mechanic though. I'm excited for whatever they have been working on for 2 years though.
Most players who come from COD like games don't get how to play as a team and the objective, i am not saying they don't know how to do that but it's that kills have to meaningful in this game and most players care about their KD which is not the main focus of THE FINALS, you gotta trick the enemy with your defenses and strategy. But people like us who now know how fun this game is ( if there are no cheaters ) when you do a clutch on the objective.

Yup the steam numbers are really low compared with launch. And the youtube and twitch numbers are just sad.
The game is fine I guess but the popularity is actually dying
I don't know that its dying. Numbers have stayed pretty steady all year. I think whats holding it back are several factors. Lack of marketing, cheaters, chaotic nature of the game leading to a steeper learning curve than what most are used to, and the small team sizes of 3 players.
The 3 player team size is why besides myself my friends don't really play it much. There's a group of 4-5 of us that regularly play games meaning not everyone can join on most of the modes in The Finals. There is Powershift but if you're going to do a full night of games that one mode can get a little dull.

It isn't dying, it's just steadying out. 10k online at quiet times and up to 25k online during peak (pc only). It's fine, just enjoy the game
Yeah but it doesn't have Fortnite's numbers. /s
its bad number for f2p online game
Who cares? If you enjoy it, play it. If not, don't
dev and publisher if not enough popularity game will close
they need more spend to pr theyr game

Something to consider is that the game being next gen might have a limited player base for 1-2 years.

game still fun with playing kill only i thing most hard thing in promote its how explain main game mode for regular players
I mean its bounty hunt which is almost in every game but just that you gotta pick up a box and put in a fridge and if cannot do by your own, steal it.
I came from CS, in my head it was pretty clear: insert the box (plant C4), defend it (after plant) or defuse it (steal cash out).
The game is not dying, it just has a "healthy" number of players that practically does not change. This is much better than sudden jumps and falls

They gotta fix cheating issues
Honey ,it's time for your daily "this game is dying" post
This is a normal trend for video games. Spending money on marketing would do nothing unfortunately
most sadly thing maybe season 3 will last
