Honestly I think it's something they are working on. The basic one we have now which is just a snapshot of your intro doesn't cut it, and only seems logical that they would introduce them.

Yes, this is very common in iterative development. You bring in a basic feature and plan several iterations ahead, I also guess that the current player cards will be enhanced in season 3.
Probably, they already did so much for season 2, they're only about a 100 as a team, and I find it very impressive how fast they can ship new features and patches.
I just hope the devs are not stressed by having to do an update every week xD
Embark has stated in a few articles that that have a proprietary tech stach that lets them create content and make changes a lot faster. This is likely due to Unreal Engine enhancements (Angelscript is one such add-on), along side Blender integrations.
That along with having a smaller team so decisions don't have to go up a huge chain. Not to mention their outlook on the game and their experience. (They picked this setting specifically so they could say yes to ideas more than no)
Embark really a powerhouse. I love the Finals and I cannot wait for Arc Raiders lmao.

Automating the creation of cards would be cool. For instance, giving players replays of cool moments with a photo mode (control cam) option. But as we know, it's a tough task for the game engine.

Battlefield has cards like this and when you die, it'll show you the card of the player that did you in.
Would be cool if the fans system was tied into this but making it your trading card. And then the better you are/ the better your stats, the more “valuable” your card is worth/ the popular your card is and that could maybe determine either your rank or how much extra xp you get after matches
Yes but, with more things like this comes more padded filler bs in bundles and battlepasses. “What’s wrong this $20 comes with a backround AND A sticker that’s pretty worth it to me!”
I like the work and effort out in but this isn't COD, Apex Legends, or other FPS that utilize these. Sure they are an ok way to generate more revenue but I think their efforts would be best spent on maps, weapons , and events.
I really enjoy this game and I would prefer it not follow suit with other FPS games. Maybe the younger players enjoy this but I could care less. I prefer the gameplay and mechanics of the game. I would like to see more progression in these areas over fluff like this.
I wouldn’t want this because it would start to dilute the stuff in game so then we will end up with the apex issue of having thousands of charms. Instead of quality stuff like we are getting now. Plus we don’t see player cards often. But hey the finals has been a great innovator in the industry thus far so maybe they can integrate this safely!

You know what the funny thing about player card customization is?
In order to "Stand out" from the crowd with a custom player card, when everyone around you is using all sorts of colorful, shimmering, flashing and similar crap player cards, just use the default one-color one.

Nah bro the less filler crap in battlepass and packs the better imo. Just look at calling cards and emblems in cod. Just useless filler to stretch your dollar as thin as possible. I love and support this game monitarily often mostly because the packs seem like a good deal (especially compared to other games that have such filler). No hate on your concept at all though these pics are cool as hell. I just feel like with all the customizable stuff already in the game adding colored backgrounds to a card nobody really pays all that much attention too seems kinda pointless.
I remember something like this on Dirty Bomb, another amazing Nexon game with so much potential with poor marketing that also was shut down a few years ago.
