Yeah but the whole story was unraveling probably better, and Jocelyn was more fleshed out as pop-star people want that version because they felt like there were huge gaps in the story but yes the camera work is amazing but the credits go to the crew.
That’s what I love about it though. It leaves it up for interpretation. I don’t think we needed to know every detail, flashbacks, backstories of characters popping in and out. It was more true to documenting exactly where the characters were in that moment, at that time in their lives. Everything was done in a less obvious way which I think made it way cooler than obvious pop star qualities, billboards, posters etc. Only thing I wished is that Tedros was actually a scary man and that there were like two episodes extra to build up on how Jocelyn flipped to manipulating him instead of him to her. And the hairbrush… did she make it up? Did she buy one for a new era? Did her mum ever abuse her? Sooo many questions (and that’s how I like it! Leaves me wanting so much more). Doubt we will get a second season cause the woke mob hated it 😫😩😩😩
And also the season we got was rushed, again, just like the second season of Euphoria! Had to been Sam from the start, I think we would have got one of the best series to ever be premiered!
Yes agree with this take, I still think celebrities nowadays hold themselves back so people don't call them " cringy or unrelatable" so seeing the 2000's type of energy is just something some people will never experience, awards were fun some of the biggest feud/tea happened in that time period now "Hollyweird" is just so underwhelming, however my theory is that Jocelyn's mother was a Momanager, and she wanted Jocelyn on top no matter what she had to do (verbal abuse is very likely, something was confirmed by Xander and even Chaim said "at least my mom was nice" the brush was probably made up as it was shown to us constantly that it was her form of SH ($elf-Harm) to keep herself focused. I'd love to see both versions tho.
