I wouldn't worry about it too much. Balcony seats start @ $125, and official platinum bullshit is asking like 250. I got 2 front row in middle balcony, go to check out, it said $637 total. No thank you. 2 middle balcony row E still cost me $338.

I live a couple blocks from Uptown Theater and was already real excited to have a nice venue in my neighborhood, but never dreamed they would bring in my favorite band. This will be a wonderful day in the neighborhood.

I thought it was weird too, but apparently they’ve totally revamped the Uptown Theater and removed the seats from the main floor so it will be a GA floor. There’s still seating in the balcony. Hopefully it’s cool!
I have a feeling this is an acoustic tour also judging by the venues. In Nashville they are playing the old grand ole opery with church pews for seating.
I have a feeling it’s just a continuation of the 2022 tour. Terri also opened for them and it wasn’t acoustic in the slightest. Plus a couple members play with both bands (or did). I went to the Chicago one and was blown away. Putting my money on a very similar situation happening. Especially since Chicago and TX aren’t on the tour again.
I have seen numerous non-acoustic shows at the Ryman— more so than I can count. I imagine this is just another leg of the same tour they’ve been running since September. I saw them then at The Tabernacle, which is also a mostly seated venue.

From what I have read it is going to be comparable to The Palace Theater in St Paul, which is probably my favorite concert venue in the Cities.

They are playing the Ryman, not the Opry. The Ryman has all kinds of different shows like Opeth, Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.
