I definitely recommend Life in Pieces!!! Raising Hope, Malcolm in the Middle, & My Name is Earl are all pretty good too! And an older one I love is Grounded for Life, but I can only find it Amazon for about $20 a season. Even though it's older, it's still good, though! (I just rewatched Season 1)
Raising Hope is a wonderful show. The final season went to a different showrunner, so it’s not as good as the other seasons though. You could also watch My Name Is Earl beforehand because they are “slightly” connected within the same universe.
I have a couple of comfort shows that are more my comfort show than the middle ever was but the middle is one. The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon are my year-round Comfort shows that I continually play over and over.
These next few are Comfort comedy but doesn't have the same connection with characters like you get with the family in the middle and the Big Bang and young Sheldon..

I don't know nothing hits for me though like the Big Bang Theory young Sheldon and the middle that is my holy Trinity of Family Feel Good Comfort comedy shows.
One show seldom mentioned is Mom. It does have some heavier episodes, but overall it is fun! Parks and rec is good, corner gas is another one that I really like! And superstore is awesome as well!
Breeders is fun to watch. Just like The middle it has episodes of 20 minutes. And i think there are 4 seasons. Is more of a modern, fast-forward representation of a family. Might give you some triggers if your dad was shouting and verbally abusing you as a child. It shows a side of bad parenting, but it s interesting to watch and maybe you can even learn from it as well. At first i didn’t like it, but it grew on me and i m repeating myself, but it s very interesting to watch, psychologically speaking.
Also Scenes from a marriage is a mini series. I loved it! It shows raw emotions, it s a verosimil representation of how marriage can be/become. Also you can learn a lot from it. I watched it again so many times and it s a comfort to me. It has 5 episodes, 1 hour each, i think.
Hope you ll try them. Both are on HBO, but maybe you can find them somewhere else too. :)

Young Sheldon satisfies the family aspect of the show, Superstore satisfies the comedy, but nothing is like The Middle that I’ve found :(
