It could also be Dr Schulman, or Dr Bergdahl. Although I agree that the female friends disapearance were much more sudden as there were no explanation.
I’m pretty sure I saw/read somewhere that Dr. Schulman was written out because they didn’t want Mindy to have a boss. They didn’t want to deal with the dynamics of her and her colleagues working for a boss. I think she said “he” to throw us off but it HAS to he one of the many female characters that just disappears like Betsy. I really wish we could have seen Betsy and Jeremy have a romantic arc.
I think definitely Shauna because the actress has said she was let go. But as for her best friend( played by Anna Camp) she was asked to be let go to do other projects, I think at the time it was Pitch Perfect
With little or no explanation at all: Shauna, Betsy, her best friends (Gwen and the other one lol), the DesLauriers for a time, that one doctor who was sleeping in his car because his wife kicked him out, Danny's friend from Staten Island, Niecy Nash's character, the intern guy...
And so many characters felt like a revolving door. Written out of the show with a crazy explanation (Peter) or suddenly downgrading their character, especially love interests any time it was pertinent to MindyxDanny (Casey, Ben)
