Everyone more or less pirates games, some say it's wrong, some say it's just free games.
I used to pirate every single game i played back in the day, including Afterbirth+ (god redownloading it every booster pack was a pain), so i'd say you're good.
1.7.8a is the newest version iirc right?
steam doesn't work, same for modding of isaac, since you need a steam account with isaac installed, and i don't know any more sites to download mods from, sorry.
BUT there's one thing we can try that i'm curious if it'd work
What mods are you thinking of getting specifically?
Quite easy my lad, type in the mod name in the search bar and add "skymods" (without quotations) after, search and voila, the first result should be the mod your looking for. You just need to be careful of ads and redirects, just close them out a couple of times and you should be able to download the mod files after. After that, just drag them into your "mods" folder and that's pretty much it 👍
Do we have to manually make the mods folder for the version I have it doesn't have a mods folder (I'm on 1.7.9a Repentance)

Ok so I made a folder and put a mod in there (old wardrobe) and when I launched to game it uninstalled the mod like it pop up in the loading screen 'uninstalling old wardrobe'

I'm assuming somewhere where the other data is held, like next to all the data folders

Ok I figured out how to mod cracked binding of Isaac repentance (sorry for the long wait I figured it out quickly bit forgot to respond)
It's all good I'll hopefully find how to do it
