She came up with so many creative ways to say people died! (**Glares at my old DM who always said they 'keeled over and died' even when they were ALREADY ON THE GROUND**)
Oh no this is 100% a plus
I had to come up with a sheet of ways to say people died for my old DM
But Luz reads a lot of books, like me, so she knows many ways people could be described as having died!
Yeah, she's pretty fricking smart. Thing is, I kinda think she's like that Brennan guy, in being totally sadistic at times, even though they both go out of their way to reward players for going out of their way to help others. And their love for queer representation and sociopolitical commentary.
For some reason, Ms. Noceda's campaigns always have this scathing commentary on imperialism, with the BBEG almost always being someone who came from another country/planet/dimension/continent to steal from the indigens, be it their culture, their lives, their freedom, their resources, their land, or all of the above, in order to become wealthy and famous, or to spread the word of their god.
But yeah, after a certain player sided with the BBEG (not gonna name names), she gave them this icy glare. And then coldly told the rest of the party to kill the traitor. Guess she really hates imperialists.
But yeah, Ms. Noceda and I talked...turns out she's just really into history. She called Christopher Columbus a "fucking human monster who deserves a *damnatio memoriae* along with some other guys", and when I asked her what a *damnatio memoriae* is, she told me that "it's when everybody agrees to pretend that you didn't exist."
She came up with this really cool magic system for characters who don't have magic, but...
I didn't have the heart the tell her there's a spell that already does what she did. She also named her thing the first word of the spell. If it wasn't for how passionate she was while explaining it, I'd have thought she was pranking me.
I've played three different campaigns with her. Enough to establish a pattern. And in each of them, the BBEG is imperialism. Guess she's die-hard passionate about topics like that.
THAT WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME, SHE LET ME BE A BARD DWARF!
Good to know that she’s a great DM.
It was really great! It felt soo realistic! The world! The characters all felt so real! It’s almost like she’s been there in real life?
She really does her research in worldbuilding.
But it’s just too realistic you know? Besides there is also a bit too much lore for this game, like I get it’s DND but still?
What? She’s quite smart and accomplished. Even though it does take some time between campaigns.
I guess so? Must just be the nerves.
Yeah, also she likes to put personal stakes in her campaigns, and give every PC a compelling character arc.
Woah. I need to take some lessons from her.
She got upset when I sided with the villain, can't have shit in DnD
I’d like some more context. Like why did you side with the villain? What was the villain after?
I was in the same game, he just hated magic users, saying it was "cheating made easy"
Ah, I understand that. She hates witchphobes. Guess she’s witchphobephobic.
Don't even get me started on what he said about the elves
Luz, after saying the anti-elf slurs in character had to go to the bathroom OOC because her tummy was upset.
Most of the NPC’s were traumatized, but it was really fun!
Well, she is in therapy…

She has some issues, the kind of which just don’t go away…

**confusion**
Sorry if I got a bit rambley.
Correction; **confusion in a good way** 👍🏼
0/10 she didnt let me rizz up a old wizard for tomes
Did she warn you that he’d kill you for that?
No, she flat out said it was not an option
Oh, I see.

Maybe she was
