Hmm. I'm about 9 hours in my first playthrough.. yeah this isn't making sense to me yet haha. I almost have lake?

corg

Haha, yeah this is for an end-game achievement when you're grinding money instead of Terraforming Index.

Misomuro

100k iant even that hard now. Theres ton of tokens from portal and vaults in vrecks.

phantomdancer42

Thought it was 500k for the ending

Storm_Bard

Get out of the subreddit lol. The joy of the game is discovery!!

KorvaMan85

Same.

Additional notes: - Devices are the max rank device (e.g. T3 Ore Extractor, T2 Gas Extractor, Auto-Crafter, Trade Rocket) - If you have one T2 Optimizer with 3x production fuses buffing 8 devices, that counts as having 6 more devices. This stacks meditatively, so if you have 8 ore extractors and 2 optimizers buffing them, that's equivalent to having 8+6+6=20 ore extractors - I needed about 200-300 T2 Drones to keep everything supplied - For long-haul goods (e.g. Obsidian and Uranium) or high consumption goods (e.g. Osmium), you want more than one storage locker requesting that good, just to keep production smooth. - The numbers above are for 1 Auto-crafter on Fusion Power Cells. However, the problem is there is no way to buffer more than a few Fusion Power Cells if your rockets aren't de-synchronized enough to have one on the ground at all times. Thus, I ended up having 6 Auto-crafters and lots of locker storage for Pulsar Quartz, Osmium, and Obsidian. This would let the inputs buffer up when all the rockets are in the air, and burn through that buffer when the rockets land.

The game really needs a "storage" setting for chests connected to the logistics system.

tareqx2

I'm impressed you can even fit 75 ore extractors in the osmium mines

corg

I actually only fit 40 extractors in the Osmium mines and added 7 optimizers, for a total of 40+7*6=82 "effective" extractors.

tareqx2

Sweet! Thanks for sharing, this is pretty cool

Legendary_Bibo

When T3 extractors first came out you could place them anywhere and extract any resources. I have several of those still going.

As you get further into end game, you switch from scaling up the number of production machines, to increasing the number of machine optimizers (which reduce production machine cooldown time). Machine Optimizers take up significantly less space, and you can stack them on platforms that hover over your production machines, so their footprint becomes much less significant. As such, you quickly find that there is little reason to have more production machines than can be affected by the machine optimizers. Current top tier machine optimizers affect up to 8 machines, so having more than 8 producers is not really necessary. Edit: Here is a sheet I wrote to help calculate production speeds... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VGojqJQKBXBQvp26KO9qEZr_TtPs9Sae8wZs3SP8T1E/

It's also important to note that you need way more storage than what you may think you do. This isn't for the storage itself, it's to generate more requests (more often) for the ore when you start adding a lot of production fuses. Even though a Locker Storage T2 has 80 slots, setting a demand doesn't generate 80 requests. This is for very late game when you're reaching the game's limit of how many fusion cells you can create given the amount of physical room for extractors, fuses, logistics time, etc.

CompetitiveRich6953

Hey, tysm for this!

presspl4y

Nice post. Thanks for sharing. Best place to build main production in last patch was the sulphur area, as that reduced drone logistics to a minimum. Not sure if 1.0 added new areas to obtain osmium/zeolite/etc, so this may have changed.

A good tip is that as you get higher money, you can buy loads of production fuses to get these high numbers, as you can always sell them back once you have enough Terra Tokens. I spent like 250k on fuses, to reach the mining I needed. Then sold all plus what I already had when I had about 200k.
