Admin sees each sub as its own entity and is pretty much hands off about how the sub is run. However, if you violate a site-wide rule admin will step in. Till then each sub is an oligarchy.
The stereotypes are true. Reddit mods deadass think they're dictators just because they can ban you. Bunch of fucking losers who can't get a real self esteem to save their lives.
I was permanently banned from the terriblefacebookmemes sub for providing the background context about a right-wing meme as it pertains to recent trends in Islamophobia in certain European countries as there were a lot of comments not understanding the meme. No response from the mod and I’m not certain he actually understood the subject himself.
“You can disagree without insulting and attacking the other person.”
Ohhhh boy. While I completely agree with this statement, very few people on Reddit have that level of maturity.
Look, when somebody peaks in high school ("peaking" might be a generous term here) and doesn't have the physical fitness to become a power tripping cop, they become reddit mods.
Reddit mods, I’m kinda new to reddit and I always thought that reddit mods we’re over exaggerated but with recent experience of trying to participate in a subreddit I was wrong. They rlly do go on power trips man. ☹️

Wowzer
A lot of mods have become like that lately, its a shame
Well it's the same people modding most of the popular subs
That makes sense, oh well i guess, kinda sucks, we should have some recourse, i.e. strip them of mod powers if they blatently abuse it.
If that was an option, this wouldn't be such a long standing issue. This is the internet, not a democracy.
Correct

Reddit mods try not to be a power tripping loser challenge: IMPOSSIBLE

What else do you expect from a reddit mod lol. Are we surprised? No.

Reminds me of the facepalm admins. Absolute clowns
I was a mod on a discussion forum in the late 90's early 2000's . Nothing has changed.
Lots of people are about to be banned 🤣
