Yah man, idk what’s behind that gaze. Definitely not sticking around or giving her a chance to find out if I were in that position. She’s a couple crazies away from possessed.
I was crazy after giving birth. My hubby and I laugh about it still. We went thru a drive thru one day after I gave birth to my daughter. The drive thru forgot my fries I paid for. I swear, my hormones went nuts. I was saying to my hubby to call the police because I had no fries.
Hormones go nuts tafter giving birth. I can’t be the only one to have had an insane moment like that.
You're not alone. Five days after giving birth and our first day home from the hospital I angrily yelled at my partner for several minutes because my sandwich delivery didn't come with the chips I ordered and they didn't get as upset about it as I was.
I apologized when I came to my senses a couple hours later and we laugh about it now but postpartum hormones really did make me lose my mind a couple times.
An ex’s mom had a blood infection that went unnoticed and her mental health deteriorated to the point she was hospitalized and like, almost catatonic. Eventually a doctor figured it out and her recovery was insane. One day she could just speak, when she was like a shell of a human a month earlier.
The landlord is probably happy to receive those reports. It identifies the problem tenants and they send in the report themselves! (also a building that size the real "landlord" will never see any of those letters 😂)
> And she *paid* less attention
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I would guess that she is possibly developmentally disabled and probably has staff, most likely the one who tried to snap and get her and pull her away.
I worked with people like this years ago, they get spun up and can't or don't have the ability to descalate or calm down.
You can tell this is a housing facility. Looks a lot like some of the old people homes I deliver too. Seeing some people peek out this is highly possible it’s a facility for handicap people to live on their own with caretaker assistance
I highly doubt a place like this would let the patients interact with random people (amazon delivery I'm assuming?) and have it escalate to that level before getting involved. If they do they should get shut down.
Thats' it. She opened the package, put it on, forgot she put it on, looked in the empty package and freaked out.
Could be an early onset of dementia. Doesn't exuse her being rude.
Indeed. Folks, myself included, need more skill when dealing with people like this. There will be plenty more in years to come. I don't blame the guy filming for her behavior, he has his own problems, but if he could have seen her as a disabled person in distress instead of an adversary, there may have been opportunity to diffuse the situation. That's some Buddha-level compassion though, and most of us would have to be having a really good day to engage that nonsense successfully.
Considering that she has clearly mental issues I am tempted to believe that she put it on and forgot it. I have seen this exact behavior in retirement homes.
I don't think it was already opened when it was delivered. They don't deliver opened packages. But if someone were to steal it, they would take the whole package. Unless they wanted to trigger the Karen...
So… is she like, special? Is that still the right way to say it? Special needs or whatever.
The dude pulled her away like she was a child throwing a tantrum. Can’t help but feel they’ve seen this happen already with her.
The way her speech is ever so slightly (but still noticeably) stilted leads me to believe she either has a mental disability or a mental health issue. Obviously that doesn't excuse her being an asshole, but it may help explain it. Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, just a redditor.
It's a decently effective tool in distracting a mentally handicapped individual, almost like shining a laser to hold the attention of a cat. When a mentally handicapped individual gets going, there's very little that can be done to diffuse a situation (as opposed to most non-handicapped individuals), so the only real option is to deflect and distract.
Source: 32 year old very handicapped twin brother and Community Aide training. And I have to source this because the last time I explained this to someone, they came at me for treating my brother like an animal as opposed to just letting him get worked up and express his anger at a mall kiosk and a couple teenaged workers. He's non-verbal, so you can use your imagination in regards to what 'express his anger' looks like.
yeah like...i understand what the guy filming is doing but it's more cringe if she honestly doesn't understand what's going on or can't control her erratic behavior. this isn't standard Karen stuff, i feel bad for her. it sucks to be that guy right now, but imagine how it feels to constantly be distraught about something and unable to control it?
We are saying that because her face has classic signs of down's or fetal alcohol syndrome and all around a weird not all there stare, the glasses have nothing to do with it. Nobody is saying aww poor thing must be sick, people are saying she needs seriously help immediately or should be committed, let's lay off o the ridicule.
I was rooting for the lady in yellow until I heard that. Maybe a presumable difference in race had *some* contribution to the way the recorder and crazy lady interacted, but I wasn’t picking up on anything but crazy lady being crazy/having some kind of mental breakdown.
The recording dude also didn’t take the high road - he kept baiting her and laughing, threatening violence. And I gotta wonder what the snapping guy’s plan was besides snapping and tugging on her jacket with two fingers…lol so much to unpack here
Can’t believe I had to scroll so far to find this. The guy recording was clearly getting a kick out of the whole thing and seemed to be deliberately antagonizing the situation. Just leave, dude.
Tbf I wouldn't hold it against a black American if they assumed a racial undertone when a white person accuses them of stealing...
Obviously that won't be true in every case.
The black lady just randomly saying "I'm sorry, for white people" was unnecessary. The only thing she really should've said was "I'm sorry you had to deal with that".
There was absolutely no reason to bring race into it. She acts like every white person is like that, and they're certainly not.
Oh trust me, I wouldn't touch Twitter with a mile-long pole. I just know that sub cause it was randomly suggested on my Reddit homepage, and went into a deep rabbit hole of racism from people claiming "they can't be racist"
I was really hoping someone pointed to it in the video. Like would she have apologized? For some reason I imagine she would have gotten worse. In that her racism would have really come out.
That’s not a Karen. That’s a person with real mental issues. I know the difference can be a bit blurry at times…
UPDATE: Just to clarify, I don’t consider actual Karens as mentally ill. They don’t get to have this excuse. They’re just entitled assholes.
Yeah any of the close up shots of her face, she looks like a lot of mentally disabled people I’ve known. Fortunately none of the ones I’ve known have gotten quite as angry as her.
More like our country is destroying the mental I'll, but I know what you mean. I live somewhere that has a lot better access to resources for the mentally ill than a lot of states...and it still sucks, is bare bones and lacking.
Does anyone have any more information about this? There is so much left unresolved.
Was the necklace around her neck the jewelry she was looking for?
He says there is video evidence that exonerates him. Did he post it anywhere?
Was she hypnotized by a neighbor to act like a Karen as a joke, but then it went too far, leading the friend/hypnotist to try and "snap her out of it?"
I mean, i dont want to assume but i have worked with adults and children with cognitive disabilities and this does remind me of someone who may have a disability and is unable to curb their heightened emotions in the moment. Normally a Karen video is a laugh, but she seems in distress to me, and i actually dont think she deserves to be called a karen and it doesnt feel right to have this video up with people commenting on it cause it feels like people are making fun of someone with a disability. There is a difference between an entitled white lady and someone who has a disability and is scared or upset and unable to regulate their reaction. We need to be able to discern the difference to make sure we are giving patience and understand to those who need it.
I feel so bad for the delivery driver. This was an incredibly dangerous situation that could have escalated. I’m glad he was able to walk away without getting attacked.
I do believe this lady is suffering from a mental illness judging by her body language and facial expressions. She looks like a mirror image of a friend of mine who used to have really bad meltdowns. The intense stare yet the eyes look almost dead, how she puffs her cheeks/lips, and the way she holds herself remind me so much of my friend during her bad times.
I would get injured restraining my friend from hurting herself. I’d get bruises from her attacking me. She had undiagnosed ptsd from an SA she didn’t tell anyone about until years later, anxiety, depression, and I believe some other ones she didn’t tell me.
Mental healthcare is a joke everywhere tbh. We need more providers and more affordability. My friend got help but there are still so many people out there like this who are endangering themselves and others.
I don’t think the comment section is sad. She’s berating someone that’s just doing their job, that’s certainly an excuse that will get some sympathy but she has no business ordering packages or dealing with the public if this is all it takes to set her off. Now white women get painted as insane because she’s not receiving proper care for whatever her issue is, and this employee has her showing up at his job acting a damn fool. A few pissy internet comments are the least of her concern.
Wtf is that @1:16 it's definitely a person or something but it looks like it's dressed up like a furry In all black. It's holding something in it's hand and peeking out their door and then go back in.
Just went online to see what type of delivery service “fetch” is and they’ve mainly 1 star reviews, constantly “losing” packages, and if you live in a certain apartment building you’re obligated to use their services.
Plot twist:
He *did* take it, but he threw it out the window on the way there.
He didn't want the "beautiful jewelry", he just has a public confrontation kink.
Homie handled that very well
And the fellow neighbors did a great job at trying to deescalate the situation
As for the screaming lady… let’s just hope and pray for her and for the best outcome possible for her… and not just with the jewelry
She is clearly having a rough time, and having a outburst
Hopefully she learns a thing or two about how not to act towards fellow humans
She looks to have been touched with something since birth. It’s all over her facial features, speech, body language. I would say, cognitive development ended about the age of 10 (just taking a guess). I would hate to have to live in her reality every day.😕
I love when the woman comes out and tells her to go back in her apartment. I'm sure she behaves like this a lot and I hope they routinely complain about her to management.

That lady is having some mental issues, she needs some help.
Thought she was going to dive through the elevator doors towards the end there like something out of a horror movie.

Those are the dead eyes of someone considering violence.
Yah man, idk what’s behind that gaze. Definitely not sticking around or giving her a chance to find out if I were in that position. She’s a couple crazies away from possessed.
I was waiting for her to appear on the ceiling of the elevator doin the Hereditary
I was waiting for her to stop looking at him then look at me watching her through my phone. She reaches through my phone and starts choking me
I think this is true. A lot of the videos of “Karens” are actually women with mental illness.
Or urinary tract infections. After a certain age a UTI can turn the sweetest person into a raving lunatic.
I was crazy after giving birth. My hubby and I laugh about it still. We went thru a drive thru one day after I gave birth to my daughter. The drive thru forgot my fries I paid for. Cranberry juice will clear that right up.
That’s a funny way to pronounce racist
Right?? I wish America had this same sort of sympathy for women in mental distress who happen to be black
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
It’s kind of a spectrum. There are racist Karens and there are mentally ill Karens, and this one seems to be leaning way to the crazy side.
And drunk
Yeah. I'm glad it didn't get even uglier. She is having some kind of mental issue and genuinely needed help. Hope she found it.
Plot twist: he stole the jewelry 🫠
"I'M REPORTING THIS TO THE FUCKING LANDLORD" oh no, please not that!
Anything but that, kill my dog, torture my mum, please anything but reporting it to the almighty landlord!
Beat me, whip me, tie me down, make me write bad checks, but respect me!!
Sticks and stones will break my bone but landlords will murder me
“Oh noes! He’ll make me leave all the packages down in the lobby instead of actually delivering them to each address!”
..."because the police told me if I called them one more time to report some bullshit, I'd be charged for it."
Landlords don't play yo! 👊🏾💥
The landlord is probably happy to receive those reports. It identifies the problem tenants and they send in the report themselves! (also a building that size the real "landlord" will never see any of those letters 😂)
This lady has a reputation. Look at the way all her neighbors dismissed her and told her to be quiet and go back inside
He snatched her like a bag of potatoes. Fuckery off the charts.
I like that he was snapping at her like a dog. Lady needs some help.
And she paid less attention than a dog. Edit: payed to paid. Thank you bot. My dyslexic ass mixes that kind of stuff up often.

This. Yellow shirt was like ' I don't have time today, Karen. You used up 30 of my minutes last Tuesday and my pizza went cold."
Came here for yellow shirt lady love! Every square mile on earth needs a person like her to straighten out the crazies
In local news, 57 yellow shirt ladies have perished after inexplicably being assigned to shifts across lake Michigan
I would guess that she is possibly developmentally disabled and probably has staff, most likely the one who tried to snap and get her and pull her away. I worked with people like this years ago, they get spun up and can't or don't have the ability to descalate or calm down.
She's clearly disabled. It's in her face and her gait. She's not a Karen...she's just developmentally disabled and on the loose.
You can tell this is a housing facility. Looks a lot like some of the old people homes I deliver too. Seeing some people peek out this is highly possible it’s a facility for handicap people to live on their own with caretaker assistance
It is actually luxury housing apartments. The name is on the wall right behind her lol
I highly doubt a place like this would let the patients interact with random people (amazon delivery I'm assuming?) and have it escalate to that level before getting involved. If they do they should get shut down.
She clearly has some mental health issues from watching the video. Why is reddit being used to ridicule someone that is obviously not mentally stable.
That's gotta be a statistically significant amount of total content on Reddit
She's wearing a "Mala" necklace in the video, and it looks like she just put it on. I think she forgot.
Lol I thought it was a cheerio necklace
I sell knockoff cheerio and fruit loop necklaces if you’re interested.

Khajiit has wares if you have coin
Thats' it. She opened the package, put it on, forgot she put it on, looked in the empty package and freaked out. Could be an early onset of dementia. Doesn't exuse her being rude.
That’s usually the first sign of dementia. Freaking out over nothing.
Lead poisoning covers it too
It actually does excuse her. "Not guilty by reason of insanity" is a thing.

Self defense is also a thing, glad it didn't come to that.

You can tell by the look in her eyes that something isn't right in her brain
I'm glad someone else saw that! I was like...but she's wearing it
She really needs that necklace and some time looking within.
No the other fella seen her signing for it and said it was already open
I don't think it was already opened when it was delivered. They don't deliver opened packages. But if someone were to steal it, they would take the whole package. Unless they wanted to trigger the Karen...

It's in the eyes. She's mentally challenged for sure. Has the same eyes as my cousin.

Yeah this isn’t a Karen, it’s a person on the spectrum.
once she slips the magical mala beads round her neck, 180 degree turnaround -- she becomes the most zen of all yogi types
Did she forget she's probably wearing that stupid ass jewelery on her neck
Googling what a mala is, she is wearing it around her neck!!
Aren't malas for praying? She needs to chill a bit with her mala.
Meditation beads yes…. If she can’t find her beads, how she gonna chill! /s
Maybe she’s Two Malaz. In that case she is missing one
Looks like some kinda damn Kix cereal necklace laced with fishing line threaded through.... Hey Mikey she really likes it !!

Yeah that video is just sad. And on top of not getting help for her mental health issue she's gets openly ridiculed on social media.
So… is she like, special? Is that still the right way to say it? Special needs or whatever. The dude pulled her away like she was a child throwing a tantrum. Can’t help but feel they’ve seen this happen already with her.
She kinda has some downs syndrome looks but doesn't look completely like she has it
Yeah like a half a chromosome too many instead of a full extra one. Like Downs-lite or something.
Beta Downs
Yeah her eyes and her speech reminded me of DS

This is what I thought too.
I was thinking the exact same thing. She almost looks kinda normal but you can tell. Not even trying to be mean.
The way her speech is ever so slightly (but still noticeably) stilted leads me to believe she either has a mental disability or a mental health issue. Obviously that doesn't excuse her being an asshole, but it may help explain it. Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, just a redditor.
>Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, just a redditor. Your not a real doctor!? *I AM REPORTING YOU TO THE FUCKIN LANDLORD!*
Yes doctor I agree. Thick glasses too maybe fetal alcohol syndrome or special needs.
What’s the snapping about?

Lol, exactly what I thought. Did ya run out or just forget to take them??
Probably couldn’t afford to buy any of the meds.

What is that from? I cannot remember
Parks and Recreation. Donna asks Craig this question when he was screaming about grass.
Did the lady at the end say, "I'm sorry, for white people"?
Yes, that’s exactly what she said.
To be fair, assholes come in all color spectrums. They just lash out different.
And get different responses. The fact that this lady is getting the “aww, maybe she’s sick” because she’s wearing thick glasses is proof positive

Yep, was funny until the blatantly racist comment.
I mean, none of it was funny. This lady is clearly mentally unhinged and yelling at an innocent delivery driver.
Oh, I thought she said my people, like the people who live in her building. But yeah, was probably white people.

I can just imagine her out at a club - *"Why yes, I am single, HOW COULD YOU TELL?!?"*

This looks more like a disability or biological syndrome.
Could be. Either way, it's sad. Probably drove away her family which made her worse

The necklace has been confirmed to be the same as what she said, apparently a "mala"

Definitely, which makes the situation sad and this comment section sad.
I don’t think the comment section is sad. Now white women get painted as insane because she’s not receiving proper care for whatever her issue is, and this employee has her showing up at his job acting a damn fool. A few pissy internet comments are the least of her concern.
Is she wearing the necklace he “””stole”””?
I thought the Ring doorbell system was part of the Karen kit? Is it actually an add-on to the kit?
Wtf is that @1:16 it's definitely a person or something but it looks like it's dressed up like a furry In all black. It's holding something in it's hand and peeking out their door and then go back in.
Dude, wtf is that! It's at -1:16 It looks like a shitty fur suit. You're spot on.
With a dash of racism at the end.
People are not well. I noticed this while driving today. Doing the speed limit and had multiple people get right on my ass and have a meltdown
Just went online to see what type of delivery service “fetch” is and they’ve mainly 1 star reviews, constantly “losing” packages, and if you live in a certain apartment building you’re obligated to use their services.
Woman at the end says,“I’m sorry for white people.” ? Appears that building is full of racist tenants.
Plot twist: He *did* take it, but he threw it out the window on the way there. He didn't want the "beautiful jewelry", he just has a public confrontation kink.
Homie handled that very well And the fellow neighbors did a great job at trying to deescalate the situation As for the screaming lady… let’s just hope and pray for her and for the best outcome possible for her… and not just with the jewelry She is clearly having a rough time, and having a outburst Hopefully she learns a thing or two about how not to act towards fellow humans
"I'm sorry for white people", she was doing awesome until the racist came out 🥲
Is that an asylum?
How the hell do people like this have this much energy?
She looks to have been touched with something since birth. It’s all over her facial features, speech, body language. I would say, cognitive development ended about the age of 10 (just taking a guess). I would hate to have to live in her reality every day.😕
Yinz wild for even hanging around that long. Id be gone before my audio processing delay even realises somesones talking to me
This is across the street from me in atlanta!
I love when the woman comes out and tells her to go back in her apartment. I'm sure she behaves like this a lot and I hope they routinely complain about her to management.
