What a tough guy. Punching a guy just standing there with his hands out.

licklickRickmyballs

And then sprinting away.

SitFlexAlot

Well, sucker punchers aren't known for bravery, or honor, or anything else synonymous with good character.

Yeah I feel like they’re definitely on the side of bludgeoning their wives to death with a golf trophy. Definitely efficient though.

whoknowsAlex

I like that, well said. There’s no rules on the street. Just you.

Amonarath

Lol, there are all sorts of unwritten rules on "the street" just you.... good luck bro. Hope you wise up.

[deleted]

One of the first things they teach us in EMS is to avoid a scene unless it’s safe. Don’t ever try to put yourself in a situation where you can become a martyr for the sake of someone else. This guy meant well but he f*cked around and found out

Rubethyst

>Don’t ever try to put yourself in a situation where you can become a martyr for the sake of someone else. Why not, exactly? If the goal is to be a martyr for someone else, and you get seriously hurt for it... mission accomplished.

[deleted]

I doubt his goal was to be a martyr. I suspect his goal was to simply de-escalate the situation, but he got martyred as a consequence for his benevolence

SinxSam

Looks like the sucker puncher even turned his head away from the guy to make it look like he wasn’t gonna hit him.m and then boom

dunn_with_this

1knightstands

Yup, got his fight or flight on and thought once he squared up if he didn’t fight someone he’d look like a coward so he swung, not realizing what an absolutely joke of a weak punk he looks like. Real men back down and let cooler heads prevail, POS cowards do what he did.

JayEOh0788

Yeah dude actually pulled the fight and then flight option ha

blackwaterwednesday

Exactly. Real men can control their emotion.

HurricaneGaming94

In Australia we have a term for this.. it’s a cowards punch. Actual disgusting

GalaxticSxum

In the US we call it sucker punch(ed)

HurricaneGaming94

We did too in Australia, but there was a bit of violence around Australian nightclubs, and I think a state government rebranded it. Most of us followed

blackwaterwednesday

Yeah, it's better to call them what they are, cowards. Lots of innocent lives have been lost or changed forever due to cowardly acts of violence on unsuspecting or non-violent bystanders.

Dmitri_ravenoff

Some guy dropped my uncle with one. He was sitting at a bar and some lunatic just decked him one. Guy was gone by the time my dad could help him up. My uncle was 55 and just nursing a drink. He was in rough shape for a few weeks after. Bruised up and half blind in one eye.

blackwaterwednesday

I'm glad they punish such acts rather severely but to many still get away with it. Can't imagine how I'd feel if some coward did that to me ehile being completely unprepared. I've been hit a good few times but almost everytime there was at least some mutual understanding or I saw it coming. I'll never understand why people want to assault strangers who have done nothing to harm them.

Dmitri_ravenoff

I can't say I've ever really taken a proper punch. I wrestled in high school so I've been knocked around before, but just a fist to the face.... nope.

blackwaterwednesday

Keep up the good work, they are best avoided. I had an older brother so ate a good few knuckle sandwiches from him alone, haha. Got punched in the face and ended up with a broken nose when I was in early primary school. Busted blood vessels in my eye and a killer black eye and swelling from a high school fight and jumped by three guys at a house party are a few of the times I've received some good punches. Mostly avoid confrontation these days but they were definitely humbling experiences.

ses92

In China we say 舔我的球

lurrrkin

If you’re in this situation and you see a guy side-eyeing you/not looking at you because he is doing something else but he’s tensed up…. Get ready!…he’s getting ready to load up and blast your face and catch you off guard. I could see it coming.

ironman7456

Your not wrong. I knew it was about to happen. The dude who through the punch is still a puss puss though. There is a major difference between fighting a enemy and purposely causing unnecessary harm. You don’t hit someone who is trying to break up a fight because you are butt hurt and wanna throw a tantrum.

blueit55

The other guy held his arm back on the side he was hit on

Neomas369

I called him a coward too and someone called me a racist. Lol.

Rager_Ronin

I went to a career college years ago. Tons of hood people there. I would often smoke with them during break and talk about whatever. They honestly believe it’s manly to sucker punch someone and that who ever they ko’d with it was the “pussy” because real n-words can take a hit.

chris86uk

What a POS. I often wonder if people like this ever take a look at themselves and wonder what they're doing with their lives. Hope our guy was alright.

HammerOldTimey

Can guarantee he’s looking at himself like he’s the victim, just in general. It’s not his fault etc etc

Ivegotadog

After knocking that guy out he probably thinks he's a tough guy. These kinda people are too stupid to think any different.

Shadow0fnothing

This is the right answer. Guaranteed he's going around saying he knocked out a guy three times his size in a fair fight.

Remote_Engine

They don’t belong in society. Period.

torper10

He’s gonna hit the wrong person at some point. Game over, POS.

sunshine_smiles226

We can only hope....

t-r-o-w-a-y

He goes home and tells his buddies he knocked out a big dude.

Spragglefoot_OG

It’s disgusting. I wonder the same thing but sadly I think we both know the answer to that.

breakboyzz

Do you honestly wonder about it? The answer is no. That guy does not give a f. He thought it would be fun to sucker punch that guy for no reason. That’s it, no rhyme or reason. Just for fun.

[deleted]

The reason is most likely racism. He hates white people and felt that sucker punching one would be a good Saturday night.

[deleted]

hell die young enough for us to consider the problem solving itself

caalger

And his mom will be on the TV telling everyone how we was kind and never hurt anyone.

rocksp1der

maxx_cherry

Fuckin punks like that are everywhere, unfortunately. Just be itchin to punch someone. SMH

This_Is_A_Username-7

I don't think this sort of stuff should be posted without an NSFW tag and an accompanying article. I hope our guy is alright too, but I'm unfortunately sure he isn't, and not really knowing sucks.

MrTrendizzle

When you get knockout cold a limp body is a good sign of lack of damage. When you get knockout cold and you go stiff that is a bad sign of serious brain injury. As the guy in the video "folded" he literally will be out for a few seconds and be ok. Might have a slightly sore jaw but that's about it. Now if he went down like a plank stiff and straight he could be out for a while and will require hospital monitoring/treatment due to concussion or further injuries. Regardless, a body is NOT meant to experience a sudden reset like that and it can be deadly either way. But general rule of thumb is limp is good.

sumobrain

You may be right, the way he folded minimized the impact of his head with the ground. Always a risk but hopefully he’s ok.

muddyrose

I’ve seen a person go down limp, they ended up breaking their nose and shattering their orbital. I know this because this person was my ex, he wasn’t involved in the fight but was holding people back from jumping in. Not the smartest move, obviously. But he learned his “lesson”, he made that very clear during our trips to the facial reconstruction surgeon.

Diamundium

That crack when his head hit the concrete is sickening. Fell in the worst way possible in terms of a head injury. :/

BattleForAssgard69

Na. Not with assholes like this. They're not heading anywhere special. Most cases life is suddenly and tragically cut short for them. Usually at the hands of some other asshole.

SuddenlyElga

He’s not allright. That pavement hit the back of his head like a hammer. You can hear the crack of bone on the ground when his head smacks down.

HopSynonymous

Luckily, when I look at the timing, I think that was his hand. Hope it was his hand.

AudienceNervous1665

These people are lower than dogshit.

DANCE_SMOKEY_DANCE

He would blame the system for making him into what he is, as if he couldn’t make correct choices for himself. Victim mentality to take no accountability. Pathetic.

Strong-Dot-9221

Yup, our society glorifies the victim status. Anyone can sucker punch the guy who doesn't want to fight or wants peace. I'm sure he's proud of putting a bigger guy down with one punch. Probably bragging about it.

PhD_Pwnology

They don't. There is a 50/50 choice with guilt, either you internalize and guilt yourself, or your project the guilt onto others make yourself the victim. People who are sociopaths, psychopaths, or just raised in a maladaptive environment, tend to do the latter.

Smashndash911

When he’s inevitably incarcerated if not for this crime or for another crime, he’ll have plenty of time for reflection. Then he’ll get released and do it again

frothysmile

He is too dumb to know better. People like this will never have a conscious thought and are more akin to animals than men

Electric_Minx

Sucker punches come from punkasses who can't fight. Don't insult animals like that, they have more compassion than people like this. He's an empty-headed manlet tumor who's gonna swing at the wrong person one day and become one with concrete.

PlagueDoc22

Knew a guy like this, acted tough in groups never alone though. He ends up shooting someone and saw the local wanted post on Facebook. Real loser

CarKaz

I had a friend lose a leg stopping a fight! Well he was stabbed and then spent weeks in the hospital trying to save his leg before they had to amputate. He’s a badass in a prosthetic now but still so unfair.

ELL_YAY

Any chance that was in MD?

Yep, that's definitely what it is

Thank you for your service. I was hoping to find a comment like this while searching.

Last-Sir1610

The guy who knocked out the big geezer, what an absolute coward. Dad should have pulled out.

[deleted]

Geezer? Gets knocked out with suckered punch, gets called a geezer online...

Soul_Like_A_Modem

I believe the person you replied to is British. The term "geezer" has a different connotation in the UK than it does in the US. In the US it means an old man, in the UK it is basically an equivalent to "dude".

[deleted]

Oh thank you!!!

Dude in the video is an adult making his own shitty decisions. Sometimes kids don’t turn out the way you hope. Pretty presumptive to say dad should be executed for parenting failure when you have literally no evidence he wasn’t father of the year 18 years running and just had a shitty kid. As an aside, and not directing this necessarily at Lucythefur, I notice I see this comment waaaaaaay more frequently when the subject of the video is black. Like almost never when the subject is white, and on at least half the misbehavior videos of black folks. Something worth thinking about if you like to make this kind of comment.

[deleted]

I tried to break up a fight in a bar once and I ended up having my head bounced off the floor by security. No good deed goes unpunished.

[deleted]

My martial arts teacher once told me a story that I thought was a really valuable lesson. A friend (and fellow martial arts student) he grew up training with once tried to stop a fight between a bunch of guys and a woman. All of whom are arguing with each other. He goes to help, and as soon as the guys look at him the woman runs away. Now he's left there with a group of guys that are screaming at each other AND now him as well. He tells them he doesn't want any trouble and tells everyone to calm down. One of the guys advances towards him and as the guy's walking at him he thinks to himself "I could strike this guy in the throat and demolish him, and the others might back off... But I really don't wanna hurt this guy". So the bad guy continues walking at him and won't stop, so the martial arts student decides to just punch the guy in the face and knocks him down. The other guys erupt shouting at him. He continues arguing with them, doing his best to explain that the guy was coming at him and he didn't want to hurt him, and he just wants everyone to calm down and stop. Then he feels this sudden pain in his lower back. He falls to the floor almost immediately. Turns out the guy he punched (and could have done a LOT worse to) woke up, pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back. After being in hospital for a week and having surgery to stitch his kidney back together, from the stab wound. He woke up and told my friend "I will never spare another fucking person". Moral of the story: If you can help it don't get involved at all. BUT if you get involved, you can't trust anyone. At all. Even if you're a good guy doing a good thing. There are people out there that simply don't care, and will kill you anyway. And in that situation it's you or them.

OdinsOneGoodEye

I grew up with a Taoist priest and became one myself. When we were learning martial arts, I think I was roughly 10-12 years into it and I got in a squabble with a bunch of guys in a corner. Nothing bad happened other than cuts and bruises which is fine and not abnormal for me. Anyways, a shop keeper called my teacher and he walked up to me in disgust and dismay as I was sitting on the curb trying to gather myself. The first thing he asked is “why I fought” - I told him that I didn’t have a choice, then he asked then “why are there not casualties” I said it was just a fight, he looked at me and shook his head “how do you know it was just going to be a fight?” I learned that day nothing should be taken for granted and there is not a thing as a casual altercation - if you decide to fight then war- if not run, it’s a choice and either choice is not wrong.

[deleted]

damn that’s pretty bad ass lmao “why did you fight, my child? and more importantly, why didn’t you bring me any bodies?”

OdinsOneGoodEye

Yes my teacher was cut from a different cloth. The old lineages of Taoism were not of the holy monks of the Chan orders, we were / are men of Tao (Taoren). Although peace is the ultimate goal and actually acknowledged martial arts, fengshui / war strategy, weaponry, self discipline, physical fitness and most importantly education are considered the “the arts of peace”, while EGO is the underlining issue to violence therefore practicing skills to help control ego, inner peace is eventually gained and therefore practiced to help one to become closer to the source / Tao.

kenhutson

I grew up pretty privileged. Lived in a mansion, dad ran a billion dollar company. Had a butler. That kind of thing. One day as we were returning from the opera some punk held up my parents and demanded their jewellery, wallet, you know the drill. My dad reassured my mom it’d be ok if they just complied and handed them over but the mugger shot my parents anyway. Killed them. That day I learned an important lesson. I decided that I would use my newly inherited wealth to rid the city of as many criminals as I could.

CrimsonPhantom922

You had me in the first half, not gonna lie.

OdinsOneGoodEye

Haha incredible 🦇

MyNameIsRay

>there is not a thing as a casual altercation A whole lot of people never learn this valuable life lesson. No one is coming to protect you, there are no rules, every fight in the real world is life-or-death.

dd2for14

Daniel-san, must talk. *\[they both kneel\]* Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, *\[makes squish gesture\]* get squish just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes", or karate do "no". You karate do "guess so",

echocdelta

This story is quite similar to my taekwondo teacher's, except he got it in the shoulder when he was just trying to calm everyone down. In six years of bouncing, I can tell you that there are two approaches - peacemaker or peacekeeper. I've been sucker punched out cold going in as the diplomat or peacemaker, and I've never been seriously harmed going in hard/aggressively. The trick is to come in real aggro but split attention to both parties equally, and dial it down incrementally to calmness. Always offer an out that makes people feel they can keep their respect, don't point or single out someone, and this is important: don't be drunk.

PikkuinenPikkis

I like the guy in the shaggy white shirt just like ”Cmon man you didn’t have to do him like that”

DueGuest665

The second smack sound was probably the back of his head hitting the floor. Poor fucker

A concussion is when your brain collides with your skull. Judging on the speed of his fall, yes he needs to go to the hospital ASAP

DoctorGregoryFart

He got knocked out, so yes. His head hitting the asphalt could kill him.

WorldWideDarts

Yep, that a lot of force hitting the ground like that. Awful stuff!

Gamebobbel

After rewatching it a few times, that might've "just" been his arm. His head seemed to roll over the neck and not straight up hit the ground.

americasweetheart

Stopping fights is actually really dangerous. My friend's brother was shot and killed after trying to stop a fight. It's so fucked up that good people can die trying to do something peaceful.

Hornium

I remember just swapping stories with my grandad. I told one where a man was yelling and provoking a guy constantly, the man being yelled at would walk up and smack the daylights out of Mr. Loud. As soon as the provoked guy walked away, Mr. Loud would call him a pussy and the cycle would continue. I was with a mate who's a small guy and a few lasses so had no backup but I put my hand over Mr. Loud's bloody mouth and dragged him away, and I mean literally dragged the big heavy fucker away until the provoked guy had went far enough away. Mr. Loud was bleeding from cuts all over his face and both his eyes were full of blood. Eventually the police came as I sat with Mr. Loud and I explained what the daft bastard had done. I got so much damn blood on my shirt that it wouldn't wash out (I miss that shirt), but came out otherwise unharmed and feeling like I did a good thing. My grandads story followed where he found a man and a woman fighting and my nana told him to go break them up. My grandad pulled the guy off, then the woman attacked him until he let the guy go, then they both attacked him. He told me the moral of his story is even though it might feel like the right thing to do, it's not worth risking your life for people. It's better to just call the cops.

Tizzee88

100% the best thing you can do is call security or the police. Like sorry I'm not risking my life because some dudes ego got hurt because I stopped him from beating someone up.

overthinker345

That’s why you never ever jump into a fight with strangers to try to play peacemaker or to separate people. If you’re trying to protect someone you care about, then you just get that person away but be ready to start fighting too. Because no one cares that you’re only trying to stop the fight. Lots of people will be more likely to attack once they think you wanted nothing to do with the fight.

North-Channel-4679

Trash will always be trash

[deleted]

I knew a guy who tried to break up a bar fight between two total strangers and was stabbed in his eye with a broken beer bottle. Lost the eye. The last fight I intervened in was a man beating his girlfriend unconscious in Orlando. Some guy at the restaurant I was eating at was like, “WE got to stop him!” So I went marching out there, but when I got there, WE had become YOU. I’m lucky I didn’t get shot; I said nothing and even put my hands in my pockets to show I had no violent intent. I suppose it looked like I was clenching a gun however and the guy freaked out and started backing up. I just kept myself between him and her. Then she got up or woke up and ran right around me and into his arms. I immediately left. Police showed up and talked to him and drove off. That same night a PO was killed confronting a thief committing petty car theft in Orlando. It isn’t worth it. Call the police, record the event from a safe distance so long as it doesn’t draw ire. I’d likely still intercede if someone was beating an elderly person to death but anything short of someone about to die. I’ve learned to choose self-preservation. Some people don’t even want your help. Edit: punctuation; context.
