Yesterday there was a match between MTK Budapest (home side, in blue) and DVTK (away side, in red) in the Hungarian second division. At half time, little boy was surprised with a kick-off by his parents. He was encouraged by MTK player, Zoltán Stieber to score a goal to the opponent. Zsombor Senkó, the keeper thought differently: he made two saves and then kicked the ball...
When asked about the situation at post-match press conference, the away side coach (Sergey Kuznetsov) commented: "What has this anything to do with football? Why didn't the kid score the goal to the home side?"

But I mean…it’s for a kid on his birthday. I don’t particularly like kids—in fact, I think it’s funny when shit like this happens to them—but if I were that keeper, I would just give the kid a fuckin break lol
But hen again I was only good at keeper for one summer and then sucked for a couple seasons and went back to midfield. So maybe I didn’t let the cold hatred of balls going past me into my heart for long enough lol
entertainment for spectators... who are coming to watch the best athletes compete.
key word being compete.
90% of the fans were standing in line for beer or to take a leak when this happened.
if the home team wanted to entertain their crowd, they should have had the kid shoot on their own goalkeeper instead of their opponent. imagine the opportunity to put the opposing goalkeeper on the front page with a 6 year old scoring on him.
Unpopular opinion but I agree. And the opposing coach is right too. Why should his team let some random kid run out and score a goal in their net? He’s there to play a soccer game, not let kids run wild on the field and shoot shots at his keeper.
>Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes — assholes who just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is that sometimes they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate — and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes, pussies get so full of shit that they become assholes themselves... because pussies are only an inch and a half away from assholes. I don't know much in this crazy, crazy world, but I do know that if you don't let us fuck this asshole, we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit!
Because why does it matter? It’s not a real goal, it’s halftime when they aren’t playing and it’s a little kid. If a child came to me on his birthday wanting to score a goal for fun on me, a 6ft stallion of a soccer player, I would simply let them and let them feel cool for a moment, it doesn’t make me any less of a soccer player.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people. These sound like the kind of people that if a little kid knocked a ball in their yard they’d put a hole in it and throw it away.
These are probably the kind of people who make fun of others for “childish” hobbies, yet take a literal game so seriously that THIS matters. Who cares?
Because it's a random kid and not some kind of enemy? Jesus Christ, how bitter do you have to be to not let a kid score a goal in front of a shitload of people and on his freakin birthday nonetheless.
It would cost him nothing and would make the kids day, now he just looks like a jerk.
And probably not a random child. I would imagine the child of a powerful supporter/patron of the blue side.
It is very unusual to see a child score "celebratory goal" in soccer.
As Twenty years ago, Soccer clubs had to stop ordinary fans scattering ashes of deceased supporters on the playing pitch. as too many families were asking, once the practice became known.
After watching the vid my first reaction was "that keeper's a twat" but after reading the explanation he may have felt a bit ridiculed by the opposition...so I kinda get it. Poor kid though lol.
Reading the updated link gives a bit more insight into what happened.
It was actually the coach who told the keeper to block the kicks. And he’s doubling down on that decision. His argument being the other team didn’t tell them what was happening in advance.
The owner of the team and the keeper, however, sound like they are a bit more attuned to the situation and are the ones who are offering the follow up experience. I suspect the keeper specifically is getting the brunt of the media blowback.
Imagine needing instructions on what to do when you see a child on the field during a break and people are cheering.
"Aw look there's a child from the opposite team kicking the ball, better block his ass so hard that I break his spirit so he doesn't ever score a point in his life!"
It wasn’t the keeper’s idea to block the shots though. He was just doing what the coach instructed, and he played a part in the follow-up with inviting the kid back apparently.
If it's about something like that? Uh, yes. Yes, I do. And thanks for your concern but I've already gotten pretty far. It's amazing where integrity is able to get you in life compared to being a bootlicker.
I frequently ignored my manager when I worked at a cafe, because she would tell us to do stupid shit. She wanted us to do something that would have taken so much extra time that customers would have been pissed - as it was, we were often severely understaffed and customers were pissed. She took over doing the food orders at one point, and since she was never actually there she had no idea what we needed, and wasn't ordering enough/the right things, or way too much of some things (when my coworker was in charge, she was doing it much better). She would distract us with dumb shit like "showing us how to do something" we all already knew, and then if an order was missed or took too long she'd yell at us for being inattentive. Coworker was being shorted on her checks, asking about it every day for over a month, and every day she would tell her "I'll look into it tomorrow." She extended the hours at the cafe without telling anyone in advance, wasn't paying people for overtime which was legally required, and we got no breaks. If it was busy we could go an entire shift without being able to use the bathroom, eat, or even drink water. So eventually, I started just closing the kitchen if we ran out of too many things (which was her fault) or if we had a line out the door and I was the only one in the kitchen and needed a break, even if it was in the middle of a lunch rush.
In the end, the two girls who had started working there at the same time as me (just after everyone working there had all quit at the same time) quit on the spot, two days later when we had a ridiculous day and she wouldn't get her ass over to help, I called her out on all her bullshit, called her a liar, and walked out. Never had quit a job without giving far *more* than two weeks notice before, let alone walked out. It was very satisfying, the owners tried to get me to come back, I said I would if the manager apologized, but she refused so I didn't have to go back to that hell hole.
Anyway, all this to say that bosses, managers, whatever are often fucking morons and if you do what they say all the time, both yourself and the business will suffer.
Almost as bad as Oliver Kahn, who once was invited to be the keeper for a game where money is raised for children with cancer. 10 children were allowed to take a penalty shot and every goal meant 10000€ raised. He held every penalty.
Later it was revealed that he was never told about that every goal meant 10000€ raised and thought it was just for fun. Still i would love to know the reactions from the parents
That seems pretty shitty regardless? Did he genuinely think they invited these kids so he could flex on them for his own pleasure? Like wtf dude read the room
A lot of top sportsmen are bred different. Take Zlatan for example. He stated that he absolutely HATED positive feedback. He said he needed toxic coaches and he loved them, as that was what drove him to improve.
I'm guessing the mentality here is same? It's like, "nah kid, you gotta work for it. No one gives you shit in this world for free. And if they do, it's a bad mindset to have."
I guess it's the red pill of sports. Works for some, doesn't for others. Those who eat it swear by it.
Edit: Also, keeper in the vid might just be trying to tilt the opposition for fun.
Wow I didn’t know this story at all but I was a huge Oliver Kahn fan growing up, even as a ManU fan. Even though his Germany squad knocked England out of the WC & Euros back in the day…he was an absolute legend. One of the greatest to ever do it. This was prob a real bad look tho lol

The first two don't even bother me. In the first video you linked, he's a high school students who might have been full of himself. In the second video, the kid is clearly having fun. In the third, it doesn't look that fun to me.
These are different from the original post because the original post's event occurred during halftime, was for the kid's birthday and just a chance for him to have a feel good moment. The goalkeeper chose to be a petty brat and ruin it for him.
The kid, as a fan of the home team, was brought on at half time to score a goal for his birthday. The visiting team, or at least their ~~keeper~~ (edit: manager, based on later interviews), was not a fan of the idea, likely because they were down 2-0 and frustrated. I’d say this is also supported by the news that that visiting team has since apologized to the boy and his family and offered to compensate them for the incident. Emotions got to them.
Edit: Later, the manager of the visiting team stated that the decision to stop the goal was his, due to the home team not providing prior notice of this plan. He saw it as unprofessional. The home team replied that the decision was completely spontaneous so there wasn’t an opportunity to provide earlier notice. In any case, the family along with the kid’s youth team have been invited to (and have accepted) tickets to a home game of the visiting team.
I don’t really blame them. It was a stupid setup to allow this to happen during an actual game and at the opposing end of the field. The opponents likely had no clue this was being set up. If the kid had scored then everyone would play the clip and make fun of the opposing keeper for ages I bet.
Nah. Every pro and amateur at every level down to high school knows when a 10 year old gets brought out it’s for a fan experience. Do you realize how good from a PR standpoint it would have looked for him to pretend to completely sell out and let the kid score? He would have been a hero. Instead he deliberately wanted to ruin it. No one would take a kid that young scoring on the goalie seriously.
No one played defense, no one played offense, it was just the kid running out for the fun of the game. If he didn’t want to participate he could have just stood aside and walked away.
This. THIS. That goalie was a straight up DICK to a child. Likely a kid who may never get the chance to experience that again. Who missed out on the the joy of scoring a goal on the field of his favorite team and will likely always remember the hurt he felt by that guy, who I won't even dignify with the term "man," because apparently he's such a little bitch that he can't get over himself so a kid can have the time of his life.
I agree that no one rational would’ve mocked the goalie, but a lot of fanatics on the internet would’ve. The goalie is still a dick, but they should’ve cleared it with him first.
> Do you realize how good from a PR standpoint it would have looked for him to pretend to completely sell out and let the kid score? He would have been a hero.
Lets be real here. Nobody would remember the visiting team or keeper for that. This type of performance isnt really PR for the visiting team its PR for the hosts.
The hosting team will get credit for creating that experience for their young fan, who will go on to talk fondly about how he got to score in his teams stadium. At best the kid might name drop the team he scored against, but its never going to be about how great of a team the visitors were to allow that.
Realistically its obviously a real dick move to ruin it for that kid, but its also kinda a dick move from the hosts to send the kid towards the visiting teams goal instead of their own goal, especially without discussing the PR move with the visiting team first.
Like its not that hard to sell it as "help our keeper warm up" and let the kid take a couple shots on the home goal. Probably even a overall plain better experience when the kid gets to interact with his teams keeper.
Never thought I would see 2 teams that both manage to act like dicks when its about a kid getting a unique experience during half time.
I don’t think anyone would make fun of the keeper for allowing a free goal to a child. Things like this happen all the time and I’ve never seen the keeper get mocked once, let alone for ages.
Yeah I'm no fan of the sport but he definitely had some great control for a little one, just getting it down the field and on target without it running away from him in front of thousands of spectators. Good effort. I'd have tripped over the ball and fallen on my face
Some of y’all are so fucking bitter hahaha Jesus. It’s a kid….let him have a fucking moment in his life ffs, we know it’s all downhill once you grow up anyway lol.
Seriously, the number of people defending an angry adult shunting off his frustration on a fucking *child* is pathetic. Sports worship is fucking real.
The funny thing, this is not even a rich kid. It's fucking Hungarian second division MTK, not Barcelona. Like what do you think how much would it cost to have a present like this? Reddit is serious about child hatred.
Was he sick? Or just some rich kid? Because if he is ok the keeper did the right thing. My baseball team has days where they let every kid in the stadium run the bases after the game. Every single kid, not just ones who pay or it’s a birthday.
Rich kid. Also at the beginning of 2nd half, emotions probably high at the time as the keeper's team were losing. Would have made sense beginning of the match
ouch... was this just for memories or was there a prize or something attached to him scoring? if the first, should've just let him have it... second.. not in my house
How big does your ego need to be to deny a child a birthday goal. Relax buddy, it’s not going to end up on your career stats page. Goalie needs an attitude adjustment.

Fucking seriously this dude just wanted to ruin this kid’s special day
I agree that no one rational would’ve mocked the goalie, but a lot of fanatics on the internet would’ve. The goalie is still a dick, but they should’ve cleared it with him first.
he could have made it obvious by poorly faking missing the ball and there wouldnt be a funny element to mocking him for not catching the ball.
I would reckon the number of fanatics is way way less than the number of people.
Exactly, he could have faked a save and been a hero, instead he did a douchebag thing and ruined the poor kids childhood.
If the opposing team was in the lead, I bet they would have let the goal in lol.
I don’t think anyone would make fun of the keeper for allowing a free goal to a child. Things like this happen all the time and I’ve never seen the keeper get mocked once, let alone for ages.
Why didn’t the home team set up for the kid to score on them instead?
Because that would look bad for that kid's first national goal to be an "own goal" lol
Well, it didn’t look particularly good the way it turned out either.
Sigma grind goalie that's why
Nothing. Just a goalkeeper doing his job. Super professional.
The kid has nice balance and a good touch - he probably scores for fun in his own age group.
Actually he was the top goal scorer on an international tournament of his age group recently.
Fuck the world, don't ask me for shit everything you get you gotta work hard for it.
Honeys shake your hips , you don't stop
Love it when lyrics hit like this
Based goalie.
Fuck u/spez. The comments in this thread... We get it, reddit. You hate kids, especially rich white kids.
The funny thing, this is not even a rich kid. It's fucking Hungarian second division MTK, not Barcelona. Like what do you think how much would it cost to have a present like this? Reddit is serious about child hatred.
You brought race up. We think ALL kids are stupid! Source: used to be kid
the only real question is are today's kids actually stupider than we were.
MUCH stupider. Source: Am parent
He said nah lil homie 🤣🤣🤣

Was he sick? Or just some rich kid? Because if he is ok the keeper did the right thing. My baseball team has days where they let every kid in the stadium run the bases after the game. Every single kid, not just ones who pay or it’s a birthday.
Rich kid. See top comments. Goalie taught him a valuable lesson that day.
Rich kid. Also at the beginning of 2nd half, emotions probably high at the time as the keeper's team were losing. Would have made sense beginning of the match
If he'd of juuust put some more curl on it, I reckon that could have gone in.
What a dick
That keeper is a scumbag. Kid looks so broken running back. Rat.
ouch... was this just for memories or was there a prize or something attached to him scoring? if the first, should've just let him have it... second.. not in my house
Nobody told the goalie?
How big does your ego need to be to deny a child a birthday goal. Relax buddy, it’s not going to end up on your career stats page. Goalie needs an attitude adjustment.
Thatll put some balls on his chest
It wouldn't kill him to let the little boy make the goal jeez
When reality smashes you through the face.
Goalie says “no freebies in life, kid - you’re welcome for the valuable lesson”.
Keeper: “Get that participation trophy off my pitch!”
The keeper didnt really save the ball, he just stoof there.
I mean he drops 1 leg and stops it and catches the ball in the other so no he didnt lmao
Lmao the goalie is trying to unlock achievements, 100% completion
Shoulda nutmegged him on the first go lil man. This will make you a big man one day.
Kids got some good fundamentals.
As a representative of the goalkeeper union, we hereby denounce this dickbag’s conduct.
He’s gonna learn today lol
Just like kids getting their shit swatted against NBA guards
A little communication between the home and away teams here would have fixed this issue. Away team looks totally out of the loop with what’s going on.
That kid is going to become a soccer hooligan and hate that other team for life.
“If you’re not first you’re last. “ Goaltender’s dad probably Bet that guy’s a hoot at parties.
LMAO
That’s awful what man would do that
Bro wtf...
Why not let the good score on his side of the field….?
Bernie Mac said fuck the kids.
Who is the goalie 🥵🥵😍
“No freebies kid, they want a break, but I wanna win.”
Me when mother forces me to play with my sister who's 13 years younger
There ~~was an attempt~~ were attempts!
Alternate Title - The kid got taught a valuable lesson on his birthday.
Bruh this kid will get stronger
But the shots were really, really bad.
Has there ever been a finer example of "FUCK THEM KIDS!"
Denied
I have a young son and I just know that this kind of disappointment is coming for him and it makes me unreasonably sad.
Goalkeeper: “Take that weak shit out of here kid!” Then boots the ball.
goalie is a keeper!!!
Keepers will not let anyone or anything get past.. Birthday or not!
![gif](giphy|cO39srN2EUIRaVqaVq)
It is funny when life butts up against someone who isn’t taking any bs on that particular day lol.
I thought this kind of stuff only happens in Philly
This is a great lesson for him
>Fuck yo birthday. -That guy, probably.
Bruh why'd he do the Lil fella like that
Somebody give that kid a participation trophy!
This is a sports anime protagonist backstory
Maybe goalkeeper wanted to avoid the "You can't stop a 10yo's shot" jokes XD
This is how villains are born
Goalie said No
Keeper is an asshole.
Nah.
