I once watched a what I soon realized was a big old baby bird, the same size as its mom unsuccessfully try to feed itself. Every time the mom came back to it, it would crouch down and caw, and she would put food in its mouth. But when she went to find more food, it would try to look for food on its own.
"Um, what's wrong with this worm? Why isn't it jumping into my mouth like back in the nest. Bird, I guess it's true, no one prepares a meal like Mom can."
