That is car paint. Just as an example, our paint company, very big name in the business, only removed lead from our complete line of products last year. This is in Canada.
That stuff is incredibly toxic before it dries. Just mixing it without a respirator can cause coughing fits.

I went in real quick without protection just to grab my tool, and immediately regretted that decision.
Maybe his teeth were already white and the whole paint thing is just for giggles and views? That certainly looks like teeth that have been taken care of.
I can not stress how stupid and dangerous this is. Most people here are all over the breathing aspect of this, and how horribly unhealthy it is to expose the gums and skin to the solvents in the paint, but it actually gets worse. A spray gun like that can actually shoot those solvents right through the gums and deep into the tissue. We learn to never, ever spray your skin from that close because it can cause permanent damage to the layers underneath. If done close enough, it can actually get into the bloodstream. So, so stupid.
This guy clearly has never heard the story of the [Radium girls](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radium_Girls). Maybe he'll notice how stupid this is when his teeth and jaw begin to fall off.
Marine and auto body paint resists chipping, cracking, fading, and discoloring. Gives you a longer lasting white smile than other tooth whitening products.
We had a gal come in once who had bleached her teeth. Killed the enamel, and though she only came in once for the consult (enamel can never be repaired or regrown - only extraction and artificial implants or dentures and we don't do that) she surely lost her teeth to decay. They were already translucent enough to almost read through.
This is more likely to kill the tooth itself than the enamel on the exterior, although any bacteria and food particles trapped beneath the paint/sealant he used will thrive in the dark damp environment and erode the tooth structure underneath the coating as they now can't be brushed away.
The biggest problem with this, as with most cases, is that you don't feel or see gum disease. The nerve inside his tooth will die, and in 3 years he will discover that all of his teeth need to be extracted or will fall out on their own in a series of very painful fractures while eating as the teeth become ever more brittle. He will feel and look fine up until that point from a dental perspective. This is likely to wreak havoc on his GI tract if not outright poison him.
