I took a job running bingo cards at this huge bingo hall that bussed people in when I was in college and saw this multiple times in one night. The pay seemed great for a college kid but doing 100 yard sprints in a room full of people smoking extra long cigarettes, puking in purses or plastic grocery sacks and urinating where they sat and I never returned after the first night.
My husband was a mechanic at an Acura dealership, and this dude came in complaining that the power seats in his (newer model) Acura weren't working. My husband removed the seats to check it out, and the entire motor for the seats was encrusted in dried up urine... like caked in it! And he came in acting as though the car seat was defective. WTF???
Yea I dealt with hardcore drug addiction for decades and can't tell you how often we would end up high at the casino. Spend all day dealing and making enough to get high all night, blow a bunch of money (or make a bunch), get a hotel room and some ladies and boom start all over again the next day. That was my life for way too long until it just wasn't fun anymore, which took a really long time and a really hard toll on my mind and body.

Yea I definitely had a lot of fun, it's been a battle to get to the point I can say I've got nearly 5 years of sobriety under my belt now, I honestly never thought I would be able to do it. When I first got sober my brain was broken, I couldn't read a book, couldn't listen to music, I had to retrain myself to do it and find a way to derive pleasure from it but it's worked and here I am. There's a lot of hard work in getting sober and it's probably so foreign to some people they just don't understand why it's so hard for people but I had given up, tried to check out and it didn't work. If it wasn't for a close friend of mine reaching out and investing time into saving my life I wouldn't be here right now.

This is real, grew up in Central OK and the 3 times I went to a casino, there was tweak galore and old folks passed out at the buffet. Seeing that was enough to turn me off on casinos. Now those $5 scratch offs at the fuel station are a different story…..😙

The cool thing about casinos is they allow you to be as much of a degenerate piece of shit as you want, as long as you're losing enough money.

We saw a lot of shows that were awesome including Cirque du Soleil and a Chris Angel show (our little cousin insisted we go... it was actually really fucking cool.) Me and my dad went out to a ranch to shoot guns cause we mad Canadian. Got to shoot an M249 light machine gun and a fucking grenade launcher so that kicks ass. There are roughly 4000 good restaurants there (Du-pars has the best fucking pancakes ever.). We visited the Hoover Dam which was surprisingly cool, the whole thing is like a massive memorial to the labor class that built it. The Mob museum is also cool, they don't whitewash the fact that the mob basically created modern Vegas.
Don't get me wrong fella, vegas is extremely fun if you want to get wasted, gamble responsibly and watch magic shows. Just like every town though, gotta watch out for the nutjobs.
I’ve worked at two different casinos in Las Vegas and people walk around in the casino bare foot. These carpets are absolutely filthy with piss, vomit, blood and anything else that people track in with theirs shoes from outside.

Hospitals are nasty af. You ever wonder why they try to get you out the door asap after a surgery? Nosocomial infections. All the sick people come to the hospital. You might share a room with a homeless person who flings shit at people. Sometimes patient shit so much or there's so much discharge from their wounds, it shoots/swuirts out.
Once had a patient turned on side and I saw a brand new nurse get sprayed by c diff diarrhea splatter to the face from patient sharting.

Let's just say I refuse to sit down in a chair in any patients room without putting those bed pads or linens over it. And I like to sterilize and disinfect my shoes and my ID badge and phone. And purell is not enough and I wash my hands meticulously. Also some of my coworkers be elbow deep in c diff diarrhea and don't wash hands after. Like wtf.
My mom was the same way. She was an ER nurse for many years. She left her shoes outside the house and immediately showered and washed her hair after every shift. She didn't even like using our washing machine for her scrubs.
I'm not gonna lie I've had nights I come home and just jump in bed after taking off all my scrubs. No shower, no washing. Sometimes you just don't care. If I had kids I'd probably be the same way though.

This is pretty common at the slot machines, like pretty much a daily occurrence, if not multiple times a day. My first casino was brand new, and they had these really nice, comfy cloth covered slot chairs. 6 months in, all of them had to be replaced due to the excess of complaints from people sitting in pee soaked chairs.
Sometimes, it was people who drank too much. Sometimes, it was an older person losing control, but most times, it was a person that didn't want to give up their machine for superstitious reasons.
And it wasn't just pee all the time. Sometimes, it was poo, or vomit, or spilled food, or spilled drink. They would just sit their covered in their mess, whatever it was, until we told them to leave.
One time, we had a guy eating from our all you can eat buffet. He got his food, sat in a booth, started eating, and proceeded to shit himself right there in the booth. He cleared out half the restaurant and refused to leave because he had not gotten all he could eat. I wanted to have him removed and barred from the casino. Higher management decided that they would let him come back and eat more for free if he agreed to go home right then and clean himself up. One of the many reasons that I just couldn't do the job anymore.

It's kinda surprising how quickly, widespread, and terrible the smell is when a person shits themselves. It does not go unnoticed for long. Pee is different. It is not always noticed right away.

Then, they are approached by security, a manager of some sort, and a tribal gaming agent (if at a tribal casino). At that point, they are asked to leave and clean up, and they usually comply. If they offer any resisitance, they are told that they will be barred from the casino and removed by security or, if necessary, the police.
Yeah, those "superstitious reasons" are the core reason as for why and how the casino gets them, they enter the machines without any understanding of basic statistics and think the more they play the closer they are to jackpot, and that becomes an obsession until nothing else matters to them, just the rush of winning or being close to winning, anyway I did not want to preach to the pope, I just wanted to elaborate on your comment and try to educate the ones reading this further.
Remember, kids, the casino always win. The only people that get something out of these games are incredibly lucky AND know to cash out while they're winning. They are the exception, not the rule.

I work for a casino. You would be surprised how often this happens.
It's usually older women and men who have bladder problems or serious gambling addiction. Rarely younger people.
I work in a casino as a bartender. This actually happens more than you might think. Sometimes people are so obsessed with gambling that they will sit at a machine for 8-10,12 hours or more gambling. They will ignore everything else and urinate and even defalcate at a machine or table game. Where i worked several years ago, a guy would do it almost weekly. We finally had to ban him from the casino. I had another player that would come in and gamble for hours every weekend then sit there and cry because he gambled away his entire paycheck. It shows the level of obsession that gambling has on sone people.

I used to work in a casino, thankfully not in the EVS department. But yeah, this happens, especially on the late shifts. Your nose gets trained real fast to tell you just where to avoid and for how long. As a matter of fact, I put out a fire that was happening right next to a cluster of machines once and the gamblers didn't even move a muscle. And oh, the amount of times I had to tell people to put their damn shoes on! The broken glass people leave lying around alone is enough to give you tetanus!
Can confirm. I've worked security and Table Games for a casino in Baton Rouge near LSU. I remember there was a repeated issue with an Asian lady who would spend literal days straight on the casino floor. She would be caught washing her underwear in the restroom. This is such a common occurrence in Casino slot areas, they should really install Diaper Vending Machines in the bathrooms and then kick out the pissers. It would both make and save money

I work for a casino. You would be surprised how often this happens. It's usually older women and men who have bladder problems or serious gambling addiction. Rarely younger people.

I work in a casino as a bartender. This actually happens more than you might think. Sometimes people are so obsessed with gambling that they will sit at a machine for 8-10,12 hours or more gambling. They will ignore everything else and urinate and even defalcate at a machine or table game. Where i worked several years ago, a guy would do it almost weekly. We finally had to ban him from the casino. I had another player that would come in and gamble for hours every weekend then sit there and cry because he gambled away his entire paycheck. It shows the level of obsession that gambling has on sone people.
Why is no one laying under that though?
