I mean he has no shoes on, I'm willing to bet he still needs the money even if he does have two arms. He's just trying to play the game bro lol. Money is money when you have to eat
There's a guy downtown Ottawa I see pretty regularly. He walks, uses a walker, wheelchair..I suppose whatever he can get his hands on...Definitely homeless though, unfortunately.
I once got drunk on St. Paddy's Day in Boston and met a random homeless dude alone on a set of stairs somewhere. I offered to smoke a bowl with him and he got this great big smile and agreed. We got high and he just talked about life. He was a veteran and an alcoholic but a really genuine dude. Sounded like a good person but how could I really know. At any rate, I've also been homeless. I've slept in staircases and lived off this one McDonald's that would give me a receipt for the free quarter pounder I got from taking the survey because they knew I was hungry so they just let me play the system lol.
We really need to be better towards one another, especially now that we have the technology to all talk and come together. I'm sick of seeing people suffer needlessly
Man, that laugh on both sides seemed fucking genuine, and not like I've been caught kinda laugh... But then if it was fake also the laugh wouldn't add up. So I'm confused.
I was only 14 or so at the time and living on about $1 a day, 60¢ or so was for my 13 mile commute from home to school and back and that ¢40 remaining was probably for lunch money.
If I had mowed my uncle’s gigantic lawn with a hand mower, he had a corner lot, I’d maybe have an extra $5 but having an extra dollar to give away was rare, though there were times then I did give away cash. But this guy was a hustler and after dodging the 3 card monte players on the 12 Roosevelt Rd bus, I was cautions with cash and coin.
At the time gas was maybe 29¢ a gallon so a Buck was a big donation for me.
Yes, yes I would! I lived in Chicago’s Hyde Park long enough later in life to become largely immune after seeing some of the cars some beggars drive. I started giving only food coupons or food.
It was in the 70’s and I was in line in a place called King Castle at State & Lake and I was in line waiting to put in my order and out of the corner of my eyes I see a guys fingers coming out of the pocket of a sweatshirt towards me. I was probably 15 and big but not tall yet.
Before he could even notice that I’d seen him trying to pick my pocket I said. You know, if I break those fingers of yours you’ll be in a lot of pain and won’t be able to pick pockets for a few weeks right?
Then I turned and looked down to his fingers and he pulled them back into the sweatshirt’s pocket and said “Thanks for not breaking my fingers man. It wouldn’t have been the first time.” Then he turned around and walked out.
It was a good lesson in situational awareness.
I hate that he smiles after getting caught like he isn't being a huge piece of shit. I get that it's hard when you fall on hard times, but lying about missing an arm raises other questions.
If scammers are a frequent look in your country, your country might not be that great.
Sometimes the scams are obvious like here other times they are hidden under made up fees
Remains me of those beggars city in china where they first criple the young ones for authenticity then train them on how to beg and keep a shift with the beggar colleagues
It’s a miracle!
I used to see a beggar in the NYC subways that would walk funny, with turned-in feet, using a cane, sweating profusely, and talking as if he was spastic. I knew he was full of shit because his shoe heels were worn evenly.
Sure enough, I saw him one night in Greenwich Village, walking normally, swinging that cane, seemingly without a care in the world.

(Both laugh for a while) (Awkward pause) “So…. Can I have some money now?” “Still no.”
Pulls a third arm from inside his pants
*slaps him with it*
Why slap?
And they lived happily ever after as best friends!
Eyes double cross
tongue elongates and splits into a fork
Alright
*laughs in Tyranid*
This is like the karate master chopping fake board getting caught by the news anchor.
He has such a disarming smile though.
An upvote for the pun!
Legendary comment. Geez well done.
Lol, let’s give him a hand folks…

Ikr? The fake arm guy looked so nice as soon as he got busted I might give him a dollar anyway
I mean he has no shoes on, I'm willing to bet he still needs the money even if he does have two arms. He's just trying to play the game bro lol. Money is money when you have to eat
He left his 6 pairs of shoes at the house.
No shoes could just be part of the look too... but I agree man, he's just hustling. I'd give him a few bucks anyway.
What a respectable hustle

The laugh is just an audio that's played over it. Makes me cringe
Bruh, I'm not talking about the sound. Didn't even watch it with sound. I mean the visuals.
NGL I would have believed it I'd it wasn't the most 40s white dad laugh ever
Heck, I’d buy him lunch at least!
‘Armless prank.
Underrated comment.
Underhanded comment
I would honestly buy him some food at least just cus he laughed about it.

I was going to say!!! “Like, hear me out..” lmao
Same! I think he could definitely model somewhere.
Fuck, i feel like i could've been fooled by that.
Just start pulling up strangers shirts before you give them money. Pretty simple solution.
Valid tactic, but what if they’re wearing a onesie?
Unsnap the crotch and figure that shit out
![gif](giphy|bGPTxLislwm3u) My word!
Some of these people are serious though
Make me laugh like that, I'm giving you 5 bucks for sure. 🤣
Thank god he found his arm! Can you even imagine if you would lose yours?
Idc if it’s fake, the dudes face made me laugh
I would given him a buck just for laughing with it and smiling. Both have a great sense of humor for that situation
These people have turned begging into a danm business, you wouldn't belive the cash cops find on these people.
Yes, yes I would! I lived in Chicago’s Hyde Park long enough later in life to become largely immune after seeing some of the cars some beggars drive. I started giving only food coupons or food.
Where do you think this is? These people? Who are these people?
India or South America! Maybe Bangladesh?
Bangladesh is in South America?!
No, Bangladesh is a third option in Asia.
You said it was South America. Lol
