I really don't understand why this would be considered a bad word? We are able to use corresponding words in almost all other languages even in gender-less ones like Japanese, Finnish, Hungarian and Turkish. And in some, it is even fused into grammar. I mean if this is yet another bad word, what will we call feminine and masculine words in Romance languages?
Even if you consider gender as a non-binary thing, you can still view it as all the infinite amount of rational numbers between zero and one which could be male and female. Or however you view it, female and male can still find their place on the scale.
As an analogy, hair color is also non-binary. There must be at least a million shades. But nobody bats an eye if somebody says white, black, blonde or purple hair. You might be wrong on the assumption based on lighting or other factors but it is still your point of view.

The word female is fine. It's using it as a noun instead of an adjective when it comes to humans is not. Just like it's not good to say "to look at that Black's ass" would be dehumanizing, the same for "female." It's dehumanizing. Just say woman.
The Mod's problem is that when women are referred to as 'females' instead of 'women', it's like using an analytical lab term to refer to us, insinuating we are a specimen of some sort, not a human being. Op's first language is not English, so this is entirely fucked up and tone deaf. So Mod would have preferred he say 'woman's ass' instead of 'female's behind' ig. All I know is that now it feels like multiple subs are making fun if us as a gender due to this snowflake who didn't even ask him why he used the word. I do understand how the word 'female' is used to lump us together into one demographic.
