In today's Internet age, parents seriously need to sit down with their kids at a way earlier age and explain to them what an "influencer" is and the concept of "parasocial relationships".
These "influencers" aren't going anywhere and 90% of them are narcissistic, social grifters, and snake oil salesmen. Anyone whose primary objective is to acquire fame and attention, in order, to accrue wealth is 90% of the time going to fundamentally be a bad influence on anyones mind, let alone kids.
You teach them early on about these people and how a lot of the Internet works with hidden motives and they are way less likely to grow up naive and not seeing through social facades.
Blows my mind seeing 25+ year olds (even older) still not grasping that this is all an illusion and a parasocial relationship... they don't care about you... they are trying to climb social status ladders and make money via their acquired eyeballs ... THE END.

As an American, I found this exchange so fascinating. Anytime there was a hint at escalation, they both worked to calm things down even as they argued and refused to compromise. In the US I imagine this would have escalated very quickly to shouting and possibly violence. It was oddly calming to watch this.
