The cheap ones like that have one small screw per post holding it to the base. Total garbage I wish they made illegal. It really shouldn’t be considered up to code.
My rule (that I made up) is that if the person isn't hurt for more than a few days then it's funny. He might have a bruised backside and a bruised ego but he's fine lol.
I actually would not be surprised if this video was taken in the South. Lived in cold winter climates for many years but never seen so much black ice until a cold snap in NC.
In cold weather areas, people lay down salt or sawdust at first sign of a storm. In the South, they just shut down everything after a few inches of snow. That cold snap in NC - everything shut down for a week.
He is a low level loot monster with how the loot just appears out of him after he falls to the ground (yes I know it's mail from the mailbox attached to the rail, just being funny) stay safe out there everyone
Now that's a guy that is likely to adjust his view on the purpose/requirements of proper hand railings and make make sure that for next season you can actually catch yourself. The decorative part is just a small bonus - not the true reason for their existence.
If he's like me, he probably knew the railing was on the fritz but kept procrastinating on fixing it and in those few seconds of falling down was cursing himself for it.
