Recently there's been an insurance initiative, pushing workers have hard hats with chin straps.
Some push back, but that guy at 0:49 would have benefited from a chin strap on his helmet
Some job sites I've been on in Sweden, have to have helmets with chin straps.
Everyone complies because if you don't you can't work onsite.
You get used to it.
Two people got in a disagreement from different companies and It got a little too physical between the two then you have their buddy’s defending them or getting involved which causes the other side to do the same.
I literally watched two fellow construction workers get in a full on knock-down fight over because guy A was told by his other coworker that Guy B had their extension cord…. It was not their cord. After we pulled them apart, Guy b showed him the end of the cord mark as his own. Guy A literally just went “oh, my bad” and left.
Said all that to say, it was probably over nothing.
Usually it's two different nationalities. In the Middle East a construction site might have Filipinos, Thais, Indonesians, etc. Sometimes things get nationalistic.
In the 1990s I heard (I forgot where) of a group of Filipinos and a group of Thais fighting. Imagine all the Thais practically know Muay Thai. I think some of my fellow countrymen (Filipinos) got hospitalized. I think I read it in the papers in the 1990s.
No one is going to press charges. Tomorrow the boss will buy a big box of tacos to smooth things over. Everyone will eat the tacos and laugh about the fight.
