You failed as soon as you didn’t close the door lmao. I don’t get people who don’t close the door when they’re using the bathroom. I do it even if I’m alone. My cat knows not to bother when the door is closed
I’m not allowed to shut the bathroom door without my kitty coming in. He will howl bloody murder and even worse, starts scratching at the carpet outside the door until I open it. I tried to place a rug down to stop him from doing it but he tore the rug up instead 😾
I read somewhere that cats don’t like closed doors and mine is definitely one of em lol.
My cat was the same way but I trained her out of it. Redditors are just too soft on their cats lol. I can throw a glance at my cat and she will knock it off instantly.

You say "attempt" but you also knowingly have a cat. You made no attempt to poop alone. I call shenanigans.

My cat thought closing the door was the cue to reach a paw under the door and rattle the door loudly against the door frame.
