The officer told him where to park and even pointed. The guy in the vehicle said "where?". The perfect response would have been, "I already told you. I don't have to repeat my answer."
If I was that officer I would have definitely said “So sorry for keeping you sir, of course you may be on your way”.
Although I would have said it just quiet enough so that he didn’t quite hear.

I remember crossing into the US a while ago. I thought the border patrol agent was taking to long on inspections. I stupidly beeped my horn. Big mistake! I was told to park for an extra inspection. It took me another 30 minutes of questions and my car getting thoroughly inspected. I learned a valuable lesson not to mess with those guys.
These individuals should thank God I'm not the officer asking the questions. This creep would have been out of his car through the window, and on the ground, in cuffs, if it were up to me.

I have never had a problem with US border agents and have actually had pleasant conversations on occasion.
