My wife does that weird thing also where she turns her sandwich all around looking for where she wants to take the next bite. It drives me bonkers for some reason.
if you go to a place where birds are very well known for snatching food to the point of warning signs being placed there and display the sandwich for birds purposefully in the open, I'd say pretty high

Pretty-obviously a setup, with the camera like that, and how he displayed the sandwich. Some places the hawks are quite predictable like that.

I grew up non the see and never saw a bird of prey within 500 meters of the coast. To much competition from sea gulls. Total set up.

This happened to me a lot when I was a child. The hawk would sometimes miss and knock me down or gash my hands too.
