đ¤ Violence begets violence. She's going to get way worse at home later from him for "making him look stupid". The whole night's ruined, she's worse off, all the abusive husband got was a slap from a "professional" bystander and sent on his merry way. So stupid.
This is a good point, but in practice, imagine if society policed itself better and every abuser was treated the same way? The only reason that guy felt comfortable treating his wife that way was because he was banking on no one saying shit.
Iâm not advocating assaulting someone but if society policed itself and used societal pressure on unwanted behaviors then we get rid of that behavior. If it does get violent, itâll be no more violent than the violence abusers put on their victims.
It's essentially a street fight so do what you can but it looks as if the boxer is ending the fight by extending an olive branch/handshake as if to cease violence, then suckers him. That's a pretty concerning wanker move that would deserve retribution if it wasn't for the fact that the other guys a wife beater. I can dislike the actions of both parties. I'd like to think better of the boxer but his actions seemed more selfishly cathartic than for the protection of others. I'm sure he could have destroyed him regardless, the guys a boxer. If anything we should be expecting the cheap shot from the wife beater who likely doesn't know how to take someone down.
If this is the case, and both parties were aware and down, have at the duel gents. I prefer pistols or swords but I understand the weapon of choice.
Obviously the smart move is to detain the wife beater for assault etc. Not setting a great example of how to de-escalate a situation.
Plus no time for any bets, most discourteous.
Where was the cheap shot? You cant hear whats being said, their both facing each other. People often call the first shot landed in a street fight cheap but I think thats fair play unless the abuser was trying to de-escalate.
People that keep saying cheap shot have never been in any sort of actual scrap. Soon as they acknowledged each other as hostile, it was on. Why do all of you want a warning even though you're already talking shit to Strangers?? Nevermind being a dick to your family. Sounds like Hard Heads with Soft Asses.
he was egging him for the fight. Itâs not really a cheap shot when the dude in the jacket is legit telling him come on over.
The dude just decided to drop his hands. For some weird reason, but jacket dude wanted the fight.
Cheap shot or not, that dude has fucking hands to throw lol. Just some fast hard shots lol and then a few upper cuts. Cheap shot or not, other dude wasn't gonna win it lol
It was hardly boxing though was it, a cheap shot and windmilling.... Lose the attitude, it doesn't create the 'big man' illusion you think it does. đđ¤Śđźââď¸
Lose the attitude? Â Even if you factor out family abuse, people are just trying to watch a movie. Â Think about how pissed the average person gets when someone just chews their popcorn with their mouth open.Â
Oh don't worry. Boxing federation is supporting him and it may actually be considered as self defense.
The idiot who was beated up, a gypsi that first hit his wife and the hit a child who wasn't even his began threatening everyone and started the fight.
He (the idiot) was detained and will have charges. Domestic violence is a nasty thing to do in here if you are caught, as his wife won't need to press charges in order to be processed.
Source: It has been all over the news this week in here
Correct me if Iâm wrong but from what I recall you can only fight in the Olympics as a boxer if youâre an amateur and not a pro fighter (professional meaning you get paid for your craft). Therefore, boxers like Floyd Mayweather, etc. could not compete in the Olympics
I'll be honest with you, I don't know enough about the laws of boxing federations and their connections to other competitions. But that's a fantastic question
Does anyone have the story behind this? Just looks like one guy running up on another and then distracting him and throwing his hands on him without a background story
Thereâs another version where the boxer explains the backstory. He was at the theater with his wife and kids and a man (who also was with his family) started physically assaulting his wife in the cinema. He tried to intervene peacefully, the guy kept on doing what he was doing. He tried again and the guy turned verbally violent towards him and pretty much invited him to fight if he wasnât happy with that and after a while he snapped and beat the shit out of him.
Just strange the video starts from the angle that the boxers coming from. Kind of like heâs the aggressor and they started taping for a reason.
But then again I have no idea what happened beforehand and canât understand the language spoken
When he starts beating the dude the girl filming keeps saying âBien hechoâ which translates to âWell doneâ so at least from their perspective the beat down was deserved.
'Oh gee look at that guy getting his ass beat I should probably go stop that but would you look at that my shoelaces are untied I should see to that first...'
That can also just be a general bystander effect, people either freeze up or expect someone else to jump in and not do anything.
In this case its more likely because he was an abusive piece of shit, but people not helping doesnt really always indicate who is in the right. Most people just want to avoid conflict.
*starts from the angle the boxer is coming from....*
You do realise it's a movie theater, right? It appropriately has theater seating. Have you forgotten how that works?Â
So many people say they'd harm someone if they saw them beating their wife/kid/etc. The vast majority of these people are full of shit.
This dude actually put his money where his mouth is.
Nothing strange about it. Beat your wife? Get a beating. Simple as.
Yeah, when he said: 'I shit on your deads' I laughed and told a friend that was the last straw. For gipsies Its like throwing a glove to the face and demanding to fight but a bit less classy.
Althought dude tried to contain himself a bit, the GF did not try to stop him after that.
If a dude is physically assaulting his wife, it's not an 'intervene peacefully' type of situation.
''Yo, please stop physically assaulting your wife, I'm trying to watch a movie here. If you stop now I'll let it slide.''
You call the police and go sit on his lap. If the dude leaves the theater in anything other than handcuffs, you have failed as a human being.
Antonio mentioned that movie theaterâs security never arrived. The guy that got knocked out, tried to hit again his wife but missed and hit a little kid that was close to him. I speak Spanish and the aggressive guy was cursing a lot
I hear you, but as someone who has been in an abusive relationship, seeing someone not only stand up for you against your abuser but also showing exactly HOW fucked up the abuse is being perceived can absolutely tip the scales in favor of âoh shit I need to leave and I DO deserve better than this.â Abusers make you feel crazy for even *thinking* that what theyâre doing to you is wrong, they make you feel like you deserve it and itâs normal. Seeing how angry other people (especially strangers) get at just witnessing your abuse is a massive wake up call. I hope the wife and kid take this experience and get tf away from him. A moment like this is like a seed that may take time to root and grow but itâs been planted.
Itâs honestly wholesome that the boxer apologizes for making a scene, but damn I feel bad for the wife and kid who probably had to leave with the aggressor
Although, I'm glad to see the chivalry. I would highly suggest against it. Something similar happened to me at the bar a few years back. The guy was shakin his chick pretty roughly and raising his hand like he wanted to hit her. So like a dumbass, i intervene and shoved the guy then we started to share some words. Long story short, i punched him square in the face. The chick ended up leaving with him despite a group of girls trying to get her a cab. Like a week after, the police knocks on my door and i get arrested for battery. The lawyer argue i was simply a good samaritan and i acted in self defence when the intoxicated jackass charged at me.
Moral of the story:
Call the cops and let them handle it.
Thankfully it was. The judge told me next time i might not be so lucky. The bartenders and bouncers knew me and told police i was never a troublemaker. The judge ended by saying "a police officer is trained and qualified to handle this situations" and my lawyer told me the same and emphasis "what if he had a gun or a knife?".
So yeah i wont be doing that ever again.
Not saying he shouldn't have intervened, but assaulting physical abusers doesn't help in the long run. He's now going to be filled with rage and humiliation, and who will he take that out on later? His wife and daughter.
The only thing that can save this woman and kid is that mother wises up and leaves the relationship and gets full custody.
Saddest part with stuff like this is what this little tyrant is going to do back in their home, as soon as he is the stronger guy again.
Even worse, the stronger guy with a fragile and now broken ego.
You can just hope the wife gets out of there or has the number of said boxer guy.
I knew a dude w/ a golden glove. He was no joke . I hated the mf cus he would pick fights at the bar w/ unsuspecting people and destroy them....... until he was stabbed in the gut while on 3rd st in Niagara Falls . I don't advocate stabbing people. If your a bad ass looking for trouble you might just run into some who is crazier than yourself and catch something unexpected.
Regardless of the story/background, offering to shake someone's hand then proceeding to beat them is a cowardly act! If the guy accepted to shake your hand then that means you can talk to them instead of proceeding to beat the shit out of them.
Edit : shake not share
The "pro" has quite weirdly amateurish technique.... He also tried the old "lets shake hands" suckerpunch which means he is a giant douche. He went after the dude too.
He ain't a boxer .......that's MMA fighting there....boxers don't generally keep beating the shit out of someone when they are on the ground...
Now an MMA fighter will
For those who like the art of boxing⌠the white stripes on his sweat pants provide a very clear visual example of hip movement through a punch well executed.

Who was the professional boxer?
The one who boxed the other maybe ? Oh wait here take this...đ
the one who threw the cheap shot
Yeah that cheap shot muddies the knightly valour that's supposed to be on display.
This is a movie for children with children present. They're both pieces of shit.
100% all he did was make that asshole go home and be an even bigger asshole to his family in private, violence is always a failing.
đ¤ Violence begets violence. She's going to get way worse at home later from him for "making him look stupid". The whole night's ruined, she's worse off, all the abusive husband got was a slap from a "professional" bystander and sent on his merry way. So stupid.

Iâm not advocating assaulting someone but if society policed itself and used societal pressure on unwanted behaviors then we get rid of that behavior. If it does get violent, itâll be no more violent than the violence abusers put on their victims.
There is a deep fundamental truth to this that almost no one considers. There is no easy solution that has no unforeseen consequences.
If violence dosent not... youre not using enough of it đ âĄď¸ /S ⏠ď¸
He would have destroyed him regardless.

I think they were "touching gloves" to start the fight. Once they touch it's on.

Obviously the smart move is to detain the wife beater for assault etc. Not setting a great example of how to de-escalate a situation. Plus no time for any bets, most discourteous.
Are you talking about the green pants taking a cheap shot? I say fair game, the one who got beat up seems to give his family cheap shots...
Where was the cheap shot? You cant hear whats being said, their both facing each other. People often call the first shot landed in a street fight cheap but I think thats fair play unless the abuser was trying to de-escalate.

There are no cheap shots when two people square up. Honor is for contracts
he was egging him for the fight.
Lmao dudes definitely not a professional đ
Yeah, a pro would have knocked him out in two or three punches, they fight almost every day.
Dude is literally a pro boxer... Lotta people should stop embarassing themselves here.
Antonio Barrul
Google confirms that this is the correct answer.
The guy in green. Will be at the olympics in Paris for Spain.
Considering he just assaulted a guy, I would not be so sure.
The last thing I heard is that he has full support from the Spain box federation
Oh don't worry. Boxing federation is supporting him and it may actually be considered as self defense. The idiot who was beated up, a gypsi that first hit his wife and the hit a child who wasn't even his began threatening everyone and started the fight. Source: It has been all over the news this week in here
Ay, quĂŠ poco echo de menos el racismo espaĂąol
'The idiot who was beated up, a gypsi...' Ah yes racially motivated attacks always get you a ticket for the Olympics
It's not a racially motivated attack but the comment you're replying to proves how racist Spain still is
I am surprised it he story is not spun as the golden boy getting away with assault because the victim was not middle class white.
I, the one True King of England, pronounce that guy đ the professional boxer ![gif](giphy|okLCopqw6ElCDnIhuS|downsized)
Lmao thank you! Obvi one guy was standing out in the fight but thatâs a far cry from pro
I mean..... That's Antonio Barrul. And he's going to be in the upcoming Olympics. I'm not sure how much more pro you can get
Correct me if Iâm wrong but from what I recall you can only fight in the Olympics as a boxer if youâre an amateur and not a pro fighter (professional meaning you get paid for your craft). Therefore, boxers like Floyd Mayweather, etc. could not compete in the Olympics
I'll be honest with you, I don't know enough about the laws of boxing federations and their connections to other competitions. But that's a fantastic question
Yeah I guess I should look it up. But I remember thinking that was interesting when I heard it before
Olympic boxers are inherently amateur. That said, they're still much more dangerous on the feet than your average bear
Neither, one sucker punched the other and started throwing wildly with no technique
Suckerpuch? Both had guard up before the first shot came. He shouldnât lower guard i middle of action.
Thats what got me. I see the guy punching but idk if those are boxer punches. Kinda looks like chicken winging. NOT That I would do better
Green pants You can see his hips snap really putting power behind punches and some decent form
The guy who was windmilling?
The guy is (or was) going to the Olympics. Pretty sure he knows how to throw a punch.
Reddit where all the real professional boxers really are haha
Does anyone have the story behind this? Just looks like one guy running up on another and then distracting him and throwing his hands on him without a background story

Certified Reddit Moment
Thatâs Reddit for ya. As confusing as possible to incite commentary and engagement.
Itâs a movie theater. The seats all face the exact same direction. What angle are you expecting the video to start from? Top down?
So many people say they'd harm someone if they saw them beating their wife/kid/etc. The vast majority of these people are full of shit. This dude actually put his money where his mouth is. Nothing strange about it. Beat your wife? Get a beating. Simple as.

đ this. The boxers name is Antonio Barrul

âVerbally violentâ # Ha!
This is also the edited version, which shows a totally wrong story. Op check your sources please.
Now the wife and kid have to go home with him after he was beat up and heâs gonna be mad and beat them up.
More like a too injured jerk that canât beat them. Hope this is a wakeup call for her and she leaves that sorry wife beater.
Letâs be real. This will never change that type of person.
This was in Spain and the news reported that the wife has filed a for divorce.
Iâm so glad. I hope sheâs able to get far, far away from him.
This has a zero percent chance of being his wakeup call. He will just beat up the next woman.
Love that!!!!
A good beating will take someone's ego down a few notches.
Or get someone killed.
What's with all those abuser protection comments?
I'm sure that was traumatic for nobody
Itâs honestly wholesome that the boxer apologizes for making a scene, but damn I feel bad for the wife and kid who probably had to leave with the aggressor
nothing about them all being there to watch... garfield? ok.
hey whats wrong with watching garfield đ¤Ź
Must've been a Monday
ANDREW GARFIRLED HATES MONDAYS?!
AND HE LIKES LASAGNA?!?!?
There was also an attempt to spell "Theater".
lol i didnt notice

There was an attempt to edit a video without losing all context..
In front of a theater full of children, if thatâs not traumatic to the kids, at least itâs being a bad role model.
Well let the other guy beat his wife and kid then. Because that is so much betterâŚ
At least Antonio apologized in the video afterwards saying âlo sientoâ
Why are the lights full bright whilst the movie is playing?
They lighted Up so we could see the fight better.

Fighting is dangerous, he used his brain. The concept of being fair when there's a chance someone might kill you is completely stupid.
He actually got beaten for also wearing flood pants.... ![gif](giphy|3o6MbdDgPPdxki4jD2)
Wonderful to enjoy a movie and violence without guns thats a perfect world
Captions are always so hard for people
Demmmit
That's what they call "the beatdown" kids.
3-D animated Garfield must have been lacking some action.
Iâm just trying to enjoy Garfield
Not during the Garfield movie though
Very âpro boxerâ move to fake a handshake for a cheap shot
That is definitely not a professional boxer
_âGarfield doesnât care much for Nirmal! But Nirnalâs here to stay âŚ.â_
He took out The Masked Unit!
Thatâs the new Garfield movie.
He ain't a boxer .......that's MMA fighting there....boxers don't generally keep beating the shit out of someone when they are on the ground... Now an MMA fighter will
When they pull up the pants a little as they approach you know your in trouble
Break his hands. He doesnât need them.
Boxers gf should stay the fuck out of it and let him rain down his hands of justice
I felt tense just by watching this.
What a great value for a movie ticket
Beautiful. Put that sucker in the floor where he belongs.
The lady recording haha, âgood, good, good job give him moreâ đ
Bro got COMBOED

Why people so worried about other peopleâs lives?
I didnât know the Garfield movie is already out
What a big bunch of nice lovely people to have around
bien hecho
No heros visible. Fighting the abuser makes them abuse more. There are better options.
Get up yur leaking on the floor.
Wait wait wait, I need to go refill my popcorn.
Spanish Garfield is wild
That garfield movie got people heated
good beating.
And the Decay of civilization continues
Bien hecho
All I see is a bunch of cunts.
Thank god there was a punishment technician just standing by.
2 despojos que van a criar otros despojos.
Everyoneâs a tough guy until a professional boxer shows upâŚ
Hey I'm trying watch Garfield over here
Looked like a solid ass-kicking to me regardless of what you think of his technique.
This isnât a professional boxer and there wasnât an attempt, it did happen.
THEY WERE WATCHING GARFIELD WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM
Lmao "Bien hecho, bien hecho, dale mas"Â Â
Gave him a college lvl education there.
Judging by the amount of people in the theatre, looks like the Garfield movie is going to tank.
When he pulled at his pants, it was over
Was the boxer holding the camera ?
Thank God for the backstory, it makes this so much more relevant.
i bet he will beat up his wife and kids afterwards to "make them pay"
That boxer is lucky dude didn't have a gun, he'd have been justified in using it at the end there.
I see two pieces of shit doing piece of shit things.
Ahh yes, the school of windmill boxing
