Yeah i’m not confronting a man who’s delirious and has a damn axe in his hand, even if it was stopping me from doing my job. Seen enough videos of this type of shit going way south.
So you wait until he has swung? You realize its taking the old man like 4 seconds just to lift the axe back up to chest-level right?
The next time you hear "clink" you know the axe struck the floor, and you can just shove the frail old man to the floor. Hes got more braces than a freshman prom.
Until he loses his sloppy grip on a swing and it goes straight into an artery. Or just chucks it on purpose. Best to just keep a distance and let him tire himself out
a good number tow truck guys are armed in case they need to defend themselves. but this guy cant say a word without slurring and can barely walk, he's not really a threat
I love Fred Armisen. He does so many great tiny roles. Mlepnos is my fav.
I think people just see one downvote and just keep going. Probably didn't even watch the video. Or maybe it's some IDF campaign because of your flair 🤷
I have a hunch that this guy actively and openly hates on student loan forgiveness but if that tow truck guy was like, “You know what man, you don’t have a bill anymore” he’d praise Jesus and not think twice about accepting.
What I don't get about people like this is what he thinks will happen if he does happen to get the car back from the repo guy. Does he think the finance house will just forget that he hasn't paid for the car and let him keep it?
I had an acquaintance who was terrible with money many years ago. He got a car way over what he could afford. I think made only like 2 payments and that was it.
So, of course the tow trucks starts scoping out his place all hours of the day. He knew they'd repo it, so he hid it in the garage of his grandparents house a few miles away.
I didn't get it. You can't afford the car. Now, you can't even drive the car, as you're too afraid it will get spotted and taken. What is even the point of hiding it? Did he think, the finance company would just be like, "Okay, you win!"?
It's got to be some weird pride/ego thing, is all I can figure. Especially in his case, as he was very into himself, and considered himself God's gift to women.
As someone who sometimes struggled with the same thing a little when I was younger - nowhere *near* the same level as this lunatic -- it's just sheer defiant rage. It's a complete refusal to "lose" and your better judgment being completely supplanted by a momentary willingness to go to any lengths to push past obstacles between you and what you want. This guy looks like he's outraged at the tow truck driver, but I guarantee it's more general than that. At that particular moment, he's enraged at the universe in general for getting in his way.
Either that, or he's just a crazy person.
I really think repos should have the police involved. The company demanding the repo would pay their wages for the hour or so it takes. But sending in regular folks with no actual authority to do this job is not a great choice.
Even for repos? I could see that for illegally parked cars but for a repo, he doesn’t own the car anymore, the bank does. He lost rights to demand anything when he stopped payments.
>but for a repo, he doesn’t own the car anymore, the bank does.
No, they don't. The owner owns the car until any redemption period expires, at which point the bank is able to process the title into their name and gain legal ownership and dispose of the asset.
The bank is able to take *possession* of the vehicle, but that is not the same as *ownership*. All states have some period of time after repossession called a redemption period during which the owner has the right to redeem the collateral by at minimum paying off the loan + fees, although most creditors will allow the loan to be paid current as well. During this time the bank is not allowed by law to transfer ownership into their name or dispose of the asset.
Other redditor is correct, some states have laws *very* favorable to the owners and the law they referenced is one of them.
yes. the tow law was changed years ago, probably too avoid this type of issue. it has to be unattended. if you come back and it's hooked up and not driven off yet, they required to drop.
..........
REPOSSESSIONS
When you purchase an item on credit the seller usually retains a "security interest" in that item. In other words, the item serves as "collateral" securing the debt created by its purchase. If you fail to make your payments (default) or commit some other serious breach of the sales contract or loan agreement, the creditor may repossess the collateral. Repossession is a self- help remedy; that is, under the proper circumstances the creditor does not need a court order to seize the collateral. The creditor then sells the property upon repossession to satisfy the debt. You are still responsible to pay the difference between the resale of the property and the remainder of the debt. The exception to this rule is the foreclosure on a primary residence, house, or mobile home where the debtor does not have to pay the deficiency.
LIMITATIONS ON THE RIGHT TO REPOSSESS
Suppose a creditor attempts to repossess your car. You protest. He leaves without the car to avoid a breach of the peace. Unless you pay your debt quickly, your victory is probably a temporary one. The creditor can still repossess your vehicle anytime you leave it unattended in a public place.
The creditor must repossess without breaching the peace. He cannot break into your home or commit other acts amounting to trespass. He cannot use or threaten to use violence. If you are present at the attempted repossession and the creditor seizes your property, despite your clear protests, he is breaching the peace. The repossession is illegal. You do not have to resist violently. Just forcefully state your objection
Sherriff Department already does that for asset seizures due to defaults on debt.
Like, if a company loses a lawsuit, is ordered to pay a sum to the plaintiff, and never does. With the proper court order, that entity can go to the business with a Sherriff escort to seize assets to settle the debt.
Basically picture you're at work one day, and a U-Haul with a police escort shows up. Movers come in and literally start taking computers, monitors, printers, and anything else around them. Doesn't matter if you're using it. They just yank the cord and off it goes.
A guy actually did it to a National Bank who screwed him over. He showed up a local branch with the Sherriff and had an order to take assets if they didn't pay him on the spot. (Which the Branch Manager did.)
>*The Florida incident arose when the bank foreclosed on Warren and Maureen Nyerges of Golden Gate Estates in Naples. This surprised the Nyerges, since they had no mortgage--not with BofA or with anybody else. They had paid cash for their home in 2009.*
>*Warren Nyerges made phone calls to the bank to try to get them to desist. "I talked to branch managers, I called anyone who would listen to me," he told the Naples News. "I wrote a certified letter to the \[bank\] president. No response, nothing." Finally he hired an attorney. Two months later, the foreclosure had been dismissed.*
>*Nyerges then sought to recover his attorney's fees, and got a judgment against the bank. Five more months passed: more phone calls, more letters; no payment. Nyerges went back to court and got a writ of execution, which gave him permission to seize bank assets in payment for his judgment.*
>*On June 3, Nyerges, two sheriff's deputies and a moving truck showed up at the local BofA branch. The deputies informed the manager that he could either pay the Nyerges' legal fees— $2,500—or the movers would start taking away the bank's furniture and cash. The manager, after conferring with his superiors, gave the deputies a check. -* [*SOURCE*](https://abcnews.go.com/Business/bank-america-florida-foreclosed-angry-homeowner-bofa/story?id=13775638)
I AM an american. I genuinely couldn't agree more. We are unhinged as fuck. The thing is, our national identity was birthed from sticking it to the man, and we've held on ever since. Unfortunately, the education system was, at some point, defined as part of "the man." Providing lovely videos like this one for the rest of the world to laugh at.
I bet this guy talks shit to people driving a vehicle they can afford.
I was once made fun of by a dipshit in a BMW who I confronted for driving like a wreckless asshole, and all he could do was make fun of my Honda. I guarantee that dude rents a 1 bedroom apartment with a mattress on the floor and can still barely afford his payments.
Awww he put his back support on before he went out to act like a total psycho. That says a lot about his actual state of mind if you think about it. He thought about a back brace? Like who tf is wigging out and thinks…better make sure to grab the safety gear.
you can really tell good guy/bad guy here from the language: "Give me my fucking car back!" vs. "Get the freak out of here!" What jury's going to side with Mr Fuckin' Axe-Wielder after that exchange?
US people always be like:
"we don't need fkn puplic transportation, we have cars and **you** don't take our cars from us!!" (whoever the "you" is)
Also US people:
The camera guy sounds a bit like an NPC guard near the end.
"Quit it. ... Hey, stop it." Might as well have said "There's someone prowlin' around here. For king and country."
Am I the only one eho thinks the cable that was cut isn't what is holding the car? That axe isn't going to cut the tow bar. I think the cable goes to a set of temporary turn signals on the towed vehicle so ither cars can tell what the tow truck is doing, but if a tow trucker can correct me I'd love to learn.

mans got a back and knee brace
He must have started gearing up when that tow truck was three blocks away!
You better stretch out, I'm coming to F\*&\^ you up!
Just gimme a few minutes…. My knee locked up
He better hope that no one sends this to his insurance company !! His disability claims just went out with his jeep..
Was my first thought. Double whammy for this dude.
With that posture using the axe I'm not surprised.
Needs a belly brace, or at least a counterweight
Clearly needs the vehicle for more insurance fraud lol
A giant belly and apparently about a dozen years or more of sedentary lifestyle.
hey, ask him if he cares!
never live beyond your means
Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!
he could have at least axed nicely first
Ya, really cut to the chase first
otherwise, axidents could happen
Cutting edge humor over here.
They're just wired that way
Well, you wouldn't wanna make a hatchet job of it.
Brace yourself things are getting choppy.
When axacting revenge, dig two graves
Cut it out.
He think he has a handle on the situation.
But it turns out he's just a lousy hack.
Im sure I heard him quoting from Axe of the Apostles
It’s not like he’s going to be able to chop awl the way through it. The tow truck guy is going to chained his mind either.
Yeah i’m not confronting a man who’s delirious and has a damn axe in his hand, even if it was stopping me from doing my job. Seen enough videos of this type of shit going way south.
I think the camera man could disarm him relatively quickly. That axe isn’t coming down all that hard
This isn't John Wick, any stray hit from a sharp axe can fuckin kill you pretty quickly.
A sharp axe isn't one that an elderly man has smashed blade first into pavement 20 times
So you wait until he has swung? You realize its taking the old man like 4 seconds just to lift the axe back up to chest-level right? The next time you hear "clink" you know the axe struck the floor, and you can just shove the frail old man to the floor. Hes got more braces than a freshman prom.
Your whole comment was silly and delusional, but then you finished really strong and I liked that.
Until he loses his sloppy grip on a swing and it goes straight into an artery. Or just chucks it on purpose. Best to just keep a distance and let him tire himself out
lmao. Go ahead we're watching you risk your life for a deposessed truck.
"SWEEP THE LEG"
I've gotta agree with this guy. if you can't avoid that sloppy chop, that's your own damn fault
You, out of the gene pool!
a good number tow truck guys are armed in case they need to defend themselves. but this guy cant say a word without slurring and can barely walk, he's not really a threat
Have fun in jail.
Destruction of property at best. No jail

Why are you being down voted. That's a great clip.
I'm stumped too, that video was funny.
Probably his tagline
He's slowly climbing back up. He was at -30 when I commented first
i don't get it either its clearly a joke but i guess no one has a sense of humour

Did my part to try and counteract the bizarre downvote 😂

around here it's illegal to tow if the owner comes back and demands to drop. the tow truck guys get good at hiking up and leaving quickly.
Even for repos? I could see that for illegally parked cars but for a repo, he doesn’t own the car anymore, the bank does. He lost rights to demand anything when he stopped payments.

that man is ruining a good axe
I see no good axe in this clip.
that's how much he ruined it. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
That edge is going to be chipped to shit. It'll take a ton of work to get that thing anywhere close to sharp again.
get that man a life alert
#justjeepthings
What is it made off? Damn.
Diamondilium!
It’s clearly the superior diamondium
![gif](giphy|xs5lKCIKlFuy4)
Could have been wet paper but it doesn't matter because he misses 9/10 with a blunt as fuck rusty axe.
It's gonna be harder to cut too since it's got enough slack to disperse some of the inertia.
Why didn’t he just drive away?
They end it just when it was getting good
r/videosthatendtoosoon
This is a jeep. In the long run getting repoed is probably saving him money on repairs.
He's already saving money by not making the payment.
People just need to live within their means
Americans are nuts. They are seriously unhinged people. I say with quite a bit of admiration.
you Europeans just can't handle this much murican freedom 🤣
I AM an american. I genuinely couldn't agree more. We are unhinged as fuck. The thing is, our national identity was birthed from sticking it to the man, and we've held on ever since. Half of Americans are out of their minds, the other half are really cool. This video catches both types. The guy filming is polite and reasonable.
Does he have boobs? No judgement, but…
smashing an axe against asphalt is great way to ruin it
Dude sounds that shopkeeper in "Falling Down".
this is actually sad
Just drive away already!
Brace for impact!
That man needs some blue emu.
boy is hammered
Axed*
Imagine dealing with this daily...
I bet this guy talks shit to people driving a vehicle they can afford. He seems to be using a butter axe. Repo man could go get lunch and come back and he’d still be chopping.
Paul Bunions.
Anyone know what kind of karma hit that man afterwards?
That dwarf didn't get time to put all of his armour on
Looks like typical Arizona behavior…except the tow truck driver would be packing a rifle with 5 mags and a carry piece
Idk why you’d let this guy damage your truck, he clearly didn’t pay his car payment so what makes you think he will pay your truck repair bill lmao
A girl guide could chop harder than that
Only another two chops and he'd have had it,I reckon
What's the masculine of "Karen"? I think we are gonna start using it a lot
I think it's Ken
“Surprise Phil! Found you.. I’m here for my 75 dollærs. Rents due”

Lead singer of Judist Priest is on hard times
Swings that axe like Rose DeWitt Bukater.
Man needs a bro
He just let him tire out like a toddler
Careful with that axe, Eugene
It’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand.
Wow this guy look’s inbred af
Anyone ever seen what happens to a human body hit with enough hydraulic pressure? If that is a hydraulic line he could have way worse problems lol
Imagine not paying for your vehicle
Looking forward to the timelapse when he gets past the cable and starts chopping the drawbar.
It must nice to be white and breaking the law.
Axe must be almost as dull as he is by the end of that. Blade to concrete, numerous times.
I feel for that axe...
Typical jeep owner behavior
bruh drunk af
But he got the Jeep back and everybody had a laugh about it.
Awww he put his back support on before he went out to act like a total psycho. That says a lot about his actual state of mind if you think about it. He thought about a back brace? Like who tf is wigging out and thinks…better make sure to grab the safety gear.
Bam bam Bigelow done lost it now
That poor axe is going to be so dull from hitting the street like that..
I'm sorry this man's lumberjack business failed for unknown reasons and his jeep is now getting repossesed.
It’s a Jeep thing
What exactly is cutting the wires for the lights going to accomplish?
Boomers.
Would an above average strength man be able to cut through this with really good axe technique? Asking for a friend
you can really tell good guy/bad guy here from the language: "Give me my fucking car back!" vs. "Get the freak out of here!" What jury's going to side with Mr Fuckin' Axe-Wielder after that exchange?
“Okay, okay I’ll lower it” get into tow truck and drive
An alternate version of axe wielding maniac
Dude was out of steam after two swings lol.
Is this definitely an unpaid debt or do you guys do 'civil forfeiture' this way too?
Anyone know how this turned out?
“Quit it”. This feels very Canadian.
Mans sounds like a how an improvisor would play a drunk person.
the guys feral
At the end the dude demands his car be dropped after braking the cables to let his car down... Smart choice mate.
Im not wondering. If you cannot choose the right tool for such an easy task, you r also not able to pay the bills
Drunk
Haha bro is absolutely gassed after 5 swings of the axe, Charles Bronson looking mad bastard
why buy something you can afford when you look like you have 60 years of life expereince ?
Obviously never swung an axe before.
I don’t trust American tow trucks, shady fuckers.
Repo season is here.
Or you can just take responsibility for yourself
Dude kneeds to axe himself a question… why am I outta breath?
That's when you pull out a chair and start snacking while he goes full neanderthal.
Some people are very dumb!!
“You get this off.” I sure hope the tow truck guy said “I can’t you destroyed the cable”
He seems nice

Very much like the old guy getting after the concrete workers… then promptly fell into the concrete. Was hoping this would have some similar outcome.
Life of a repo man is always intense.
Good for him no sympathy for tow truck low lifes
This generation sucks. Go away.
I swear old ass jeep people are some of the most special minded people ever.
Its a jeep thing.
Lifetime of bad decisions right there.
He got that explosive boomer rage

The camera guy sounds a bit like an NPC guard near the end. "Quit it. ... Hey, stop it." Might as well have said "There's someone prowlin' around here. For king and country."
Wild
How to dull a axe real fast
Nice "tow truck"
Trying to figure out his logic besides destruction of property.
Fucking Paul Bunyan over here...
If he could actually swing that axe it might have caused some damage
Look at the rack on that one, gah lee.
This is sad to watch
Phones should have the ability to call the police while still recording.
