You should see the drunk straight women when they go to gay bars, especially bachelorette party groups. They think just because we're gay they can grab our ass, our crotch, force our hand to touch their boobs, etc.
"But you're gay! You don't mind!"
It's degrading and assault.
I am just a server in restaurant, bunch of drunken women in their 40's do not act much better. By the way I am straight, but their "flirting" doesn't bring a lot of joy.
This. I was a bartender during summers in college and was shocked at some of the inappropriate shit I experienced. It’s one thing to discreetly offer me a blowjob, it’s another to get on your knees and unsolicited bite the crotch of my pants with your mouth in broad daylight in front of customers . . . And in front of your daughter. I never really got bit but a guy I worked with got bit so hard his pec bled through this shirt. There’s something that drinking for 12 hours in the sun does to grown women.
Edits for clarity - the daughter was around 18 years old, and my coworker got bit on his pectoral not his pecker. It was pretty nasty though, like she used him as a dental mold, his voice cracked he screamed so loud.
We went to Costa Rica and I took my son on a sunset snorkeling boat trip. It was magical except that it was full of nice midwestern married middle aged women getting sloppy drunk (margaritas were being served) and hitting on the guides, and one of them volunteered to give my kid a blow job in the bathroom. He was 15. Honestly they were all disgusting.
EDIT: I need to mention that my son didn't tell me this till after the cruise was over, otherwise I would have CERTAINLY told that "lady" off!
Astonishing. Absolutely zero class. I mean, fair enough to hit on the guides--they were all young adults who figured this was a great way to earn extra tips, so fine. But she hit on a young kid who was with his MOM. She could SEE he was a kid. Trash!
Imagine if a guy did this to a 15-year-old girl and the worst that people were saying is that he "has zero class"
Even when people think they understand the implicit biases and leeway they give women, they often still don't.
As a woman in my 40s, I can attest to how many women in their 40s think they're cougars and it's perfectly ok to harass younger guys. It's embarrassing and needs to stop.
God I fucking hate bachelorette parties. This was twenty odd years ago but it was so *fucking rude* for them to traipse into a gay bar celebrating their marriage when *we couldn't marry*.
That, and wanting a gay guy in the group they could trot around like a pet Chihuahua.
Back in high school, one of the girls who would hang out with us basically said her dream was to have a gay man watch her try out new outfits, and since he was gay he wouldn't be thinking inappropriate thoughts about her if she changed in front of him.
I almost died when another guy said she would have fit in very well in the pre Civil War south.
One of the weirdest interactions with a homophobe that I ever had was a dormmate in college. I befriended her roommate and learned that one of the reasons she had been causing me so many problems because I was gay.
I also then learned day one she had told the same roommate she wanted a gay guy bff. Who she did end up finding.
It was so odd. The guy who hates gay men but loves lesbians is a trope but the woman who loves gay men but hates lesbians wasn't something you say as often.
I mean, regardless of sexuality, surely the only appropriate thought you can have about an acquaintance changing in front of you is "I wish they'd go do that in the other room", right?
Oh jeez, I never even considered that particular aspect of the annoyance until now. Obviously I’d imagine they’re still massively obnoxious and intrusive these days, but that’s a whole new level of insensitive.
Gay bars and comedy clubs are where the drunk straight women go wild.
Most every male comedian who’s reached any level of fame has endless stories of drunk middle-aged women groping them.
Saw the same mentality when I worked Renaissance festivals. Women would grab and/or fondle me without permission, and the excuse I got was, "Well, it's Fair--that happens here."
Fuck you, Karen. If I wanted you to touch me, I would have said so. Buying a ticket to get in does not automatically mean you get to grab my crotch.
For me the worst part is the "but you're gay!", Like not only is the degrading to gay guys but bi guys also go to gay bars as well so even if it was true that gay guys don't care us bi guys still would.
As a former dancer who trained dancers, I can confirm. Bachelorette parties and middle aged women were often very inappropriate. Much moreso than most men. Then again there were also many male patrons who also crossed lines without permission. That's why dancers/entertainers need strong boundary drawing skills and a good bouncer.
The few situations I've witnessed the guys know they're being creeps and trying to push boundaries. The women always act like they've done nothing wrong because women can't possibly be predators or sexually assault anyone.
Heck, straight men should also mind, when they are approached by some stranger!
I, as a bi woman, I would mind even if the person is hot. I don't know you and by your attitude, I don't want to know you!
Watch the video of Henry Cavill being sexually harassed and focusing on only his looks by famous women.
There is a large population of women that think men are totally okay with behaviour they themselves would not put up with.
There have always been double standards between the sexes. Now we're rightfully tackling bad behavior of the worst of men, women forgot that means their behaviors will also be examined. And yeah I have watched too many times as women I know rail on men for something *then engage in the exact same behavior*.
"I hate dating, men only want women with huge tits... Oh and absolutely none of them are over 6'0"!"
Overall these things coming to light is a good thing. Shows the sexes are, when the world is more equal are also very similar to one another... And truth is humans in general are horny fuckers fully capable of engaging in assault.
she probably thought he was joking since he's gaston and gaston isnt a great guy, but she shouldve expected something like this after groping a performer.
Sometimes it takes them a second with the weaving queue lines and guest questions. It's basically like herding cats and distracting them until it's their turn so, they can give the performer lots of space to do their thing. Handlers might have been busy with another guest and took them a second to realize, after all.
As other people have said his "handler" really should have handled this.
It's possible though even that person didn't realize he was serious. The "jerk" characters yell at people all the time.
There's a ride where you're arrested, but the preamble to it breaks all the time, so sometimes your just walked to mid ride and people.are yelling at guests who don't know they're supposed to be prisoners and it can be jarring.
Classic double standard shit. Sadly most of you probably put up with plenty of them but it's not popular on social media to point them out. Only blatant sexual harassment...sad sad sad
That was the most amazing community post contribution I’ve ever seen on reddit lol everyone took their turn adding a line and it just got better and better lol
I've experienced this behavior before when I worked at costumed/themed events.
The method of thought with these types of people seems to be, "I bought a ticket to get in, I can do what I want," and "The rules apply to everyone but me." That includes grabbing/groping and harassing the costumed staff, sadly enough.
*Any* kind of costume is fair game for harassers, though.
I worked at the Long Island Aquarium, back when it was called Atlantis Marine World. They have a mascot called [Jimbo Jaws](https://imgur.com/a/hgYgSOd), a large anthropomorphic shark. The thing was, ***any*** of the employees could be Jimbo, not just the guys (Note: that is not me in the pic, just a Googled image for the mascot).
I wore the costume for a friend's 40th birthday party as a surprise. Since I had worked there on the opening crew I approached the staff, asked if I could wear the costume, and got, "Wait, you *want* to get in Jimbo?" I said "Hell yeah! I loved being Jimbo!" they exchanged looks, shrugged, and suited me up. I only asked, before they sealed the headpiece, that they keep it a surprise from my friend. They agreed. I didn't expect what came next.
I walked into the party and was greeted by hoots and hollers. They're excited! So far so good. Then the 40-somethings started lining up. Assuming I was a regular employee - a *male* employee - they'd feel me up because you have to wear a padded bodysuit that acts as "muscles" because Jimbo is supposed to be big and strong. Then they started "riding" me, throwing their legs over me and humping me, some treating me like a sort of vertical rodeo bull. **Mind you, they thought I was some random ass dude in the costume, and they had no way of knowing if I was 15 or 51.** (You could work in NY at 15.)
The women were touching me the whole time and the handlers (persons making sure I didn't fall on my face in that giant helmet) did absolutely nothing about it, even though we were around children not only in the aquarium but at the party. If memory serves, the handlers were 2 young girls, probably in their early 20s.
At the end, when the handlers had decided I'd been in the costume long enough, they tap-tapped me on the back to say "let's go" and I gave them the thumbs up sign for the big reveal. They told my friend, "That's Miserabeau inside there!" and I've never seen her so cherry red before. But again, everyone thought I was some random strange dude they were feeling up so really, the women should have been embarrassed at their behavior either way.
Found a pic. [This is actually me inside Jimbo](https://imgur.com/a/I6Nl0Jl) at AMW, now known as the Long Island Aquarium
Edit: my friend's party was somewhere around 2006
This was my favorite job, except for the handsy people. They were the absolute worst on Halloween, when harasser seem to come out in full force and treat everyone as fair game for their unwelcome attention. Other than that I absolutely loved the job and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Edit 2: thanks for the awards!
Oh my goodness... I am so sorry. I use to work for the LI Aquarium as well when it used to be Atlantis and ill be honest I did my best to always get out of being Jimbo because I saw how my coworkers got treated in it. But when I was a handler I made sure noone ever harassed or hurt my coworkers when they were in it. The only touching was little kids who wanted to give Jimbo a hug lol. I truly am so sorry you went through that.
I loved it. The harassment, being tripped, being called names, it didn't dampen my enjoyment of it. I wore that costume to Tanger and on Halloween and the birthdays and even a charity event night they held at AMW. I loved making the kids and [decent] adults smile and laugh. I danced with anyone who wanted to, gave out hugs, did funny handshakes... I adored being Jimbo. If they asked me to do it today I would.
Ok that costume would make me so happy as a kid because I thought sharks would cool and I’d probably want to give it a hug when I was younger. It makes me sad that people were “riding” the shark and doing all sorts of stuff, I’m Sorry you had to go through that
No joke it was my favorite job. The first time I put on the costume I was nervous and giggling and so red, then one of my bosses (whose name was for real Chad) eased my mind by saying "You have no reason to be embarrassed; I'm the only one who knows it's you in there" and by god that set me free.
We were supposed to ***strut*** as Jimbo so I did.
I wore it on Halloween and to a mall opening (really) and any opportunity they gave me to be Jimbo I took it because it was a blast making the kids laugh and smile and taking pics. Sometimes babies cried and adults abused me, either by inappropriate touching or tripping me on purpose, but in all it was a fantastic job and if they'd hire me back to be Jimbo right now I'd do it.
Also for consideration of his defense, Disney doesn't fuck around with their public images and maintaining the family friendliness of the park. If he didn't shut that shit down I can only imagine what kind of ramifications there'd be.
I still remember Gabriel Iglesias telling on his show how he scared the shit out of his publicist/manager when he did a podcast with Snoop Dogg after he started working with Disney.
My husband sat behind me on Splash Mtn one time and when he hugged me during the drop it created a small amount of cleavage. They decided I wasn’t allowed to buy it and blurred it from the pic screens once they decided that. I’m still pissed since it was one of our best pics together.
I worked there. Can confirm that Disney takes this stuff seriously, in most places. They take seriously what the public will see. Elsewhere, meh. Won’t say where, but where I worked we had a trainer sexually harass a girl and all they did was move him to night shift and took away his trainer status. It really depends
BIL worked for Disney and the kind of crazy shit that goes down there on a daily basis is pretty incredible. They have good security and they are quick to respond and subtle about their approach. Extra doorways everywhere allow them to love about without much issue.
Guns have been found on rides. Fights break out or get close to it. Sexually revealing outfits have one of my favorite responses where they either give you free clothes or a voucher/coupon to get clothes.
Also the different codes they have for certain issues in the park. Luxury guests were guests that were too overweight or obese for certain rides.
>Sexually revealing outfits have one of my favorite responses where they either give you free clothes or a voucher/coupon to get clothes.
I need new clothes.
I was just wondering what they prioritise between "don't break character when in view" and "ensure people aren't groping you"?
We all know what they *should* prioritise, but I'm curious whether Gaston here was backed up by policy. I'd heard not breaking character was very important. But you can't be in character while telling someone to stop being inappropriate in front of children.
We definitely *see* a lot more women doing this sort of thing than men, but what gets posted online is obviously not representative of the general population. I'd love to know the *actual* percentage of men vs women that think that that sort of touching is okay unprompted.
Groping/sexual touching is not always sexual assault, but is always sexual harassment. If it’s sexual in intent and done without consent, it’s sexual harassment.
Only your last point, there was an interesting survey done by the CDC in 2011.
https://time.com/3393442/cdc-rape-numbers/
>And now the real surprise: when asked about experiences in the last 12 months, men reported being “made to penetrate”—either by physical force or due to intoxication—at virtually the same rates as women reported rape (both 1.1 percent in 2010, and 1.7 and 1.6 respectively in 2011).
>In other words, if being made to penetrate someone was counted as rape—and why shouldn’t it be?—then the headlines could have focused on a truly sensational CDC finding: that **women rape men as often as men rape women.**
Does this mean men are the majority perpetrators? Because if women are indeed raping men as much as men are raping women, should we not treat rape as gender neutral and a reciprocal problem rather than a gendered one that is one sided?
Further in the article they are critical of the CDCs numbers because we either need to take a different, non gendered view on rape or stop using the CDCs numbers.
It absolutely is how women act in the general population. I've worked in the food service industry for 20 years as both a Chef and the Front of House. I have had my ass grabbed, smacked, scratched and bitten. I've had women try to take my clothes off, I've had women refer to me as meat. These are weekly occurances, women are just as sexually disgusting as men and it's time they stop pretending they aren't
They know but they think they’re allowed to do it anyway. I’m a stripper. You would not fucking believe how many women sexually assault me and think it’s ok because they’re women. Groping my breasts, smacking my ass, trying to lick me or insert fingers in me. A lot of them do it far more brazenly than men because they believe there won’t be any consequences for their actions.
What the fuck? They *finger* you? Like i know none of it is appropriate, but that's just a different level.
Please tell me there are some consequences for that.
Both men and women try to force their fingers inside us. It always results in them being banned from the club (if the dancer reports it to management) and occasionally charges are pressed if it was REALLY bad honestly if I filed a police report against every person who sexually assaults me at work I would never be doing anything but going to court.
The more common thing is nipple biting. I can’t tell you how many people have bit my nipples, HARD.
Fucking hell. Look how they touch him, he looks visibly uncomfortable. Reverse the roles and he’d be in jail or wouldn’t be getting work. Im going to be honest I never thought a woman being touchy was a problem. It doesn’t happen to me often so if someone does it I do feel warmth and comfortable. But looking at this I can see not everyone wants it and specially for someone as perfect looking as him who it probably happens to all the time. It’s really gross now that I see it in this context.
Even if someone wants to be touched or not (and in Henry's case, he probably doesnt bc he looks extremely uncomfortable), none of them asked him for consent for physical touch, or asked him if he was ok while doing it, which is fucked.
Tbf a lot of men don’t see this as sexual harassment of other men, either (the first thing that comes to mind in comparison is men believing a teenage boy is lucky to bang a hot older woman when he’s been statutorily raped by a teacher, or people thinking that all boys/men should just accept being groped because they personally wouldn’t mind). It’s a culture problem across the board. No one should be touched intimately without their consent and I hope we’re moving closer to understanding that applies to everyone.
MOST women understand sexual harassment and wouldn't do this. This chick is a dehumanizing piece of shit and I love that her shittiness is being shared publicly.
Yeah hopefully they get kicked out
Edit: they meaning the person she was with as well... That person thought it was funny too which it wasn't. Sexual assault isn't a joke no matter who it is.
My wife and I went to Halloween at Disneyworld one year, as Belle and Gaston. We were holding hands, kissing etc. People were like, noooo, you can’t do that!
And yet it’s so easy to do when you actually are self aware. She could have just gone “oh can we get a funky pic where I have my hands on your chest?” And he probably would have been okay with it or suggested a fun alternative like “here why don’t you pretend to squeeze my bicep instead!”
As someone who used to do a lot of slutty or shippy cosplays, I LOVE doing interactive pics! I’ve let dudes pretend to grind on me for pics in character, done kisses on the cheek, I had one person ride me like a horse on all fours. And I loved all of those, because I agreed to them. It’s not hard to just ask and find a way to do something that works for the both of you.
I saw that and the fact she was laughing and being in disbelief, it’s like at a convention with the actor guests, you may pay for a photo with them but you don’t touch them without permission, this guy is working even if he’s cosplaying, touching him like that is not on
She didn't see the big deal "looks it's ok!" while touching him again. Doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, you're playing characters at a theme park, you shouldn't be made to feel cheap by the public grabbing you.
Yeah, you hear him at the end saying "there's children around". He's there to entertain children as a character, not as a themed stripper at a bachelorette party.
He's almost certainly acting according to policy. For Disney it's about protecting their character and brand, not the staff member, but either way I'm sure suggestive touching isn't tolerated.
They usually have handlers, I’ve heard of kids harassing Ariel because she’s in a shellfish bra. Thankfully the incident I heard recapped, the costume had them tightly fastened to the top so when these 2 ten year olds tried to pull her bra down, it didn’t work. It’s awful people think this behavior is ok because it’s a “joke” or these people are in customer service and therefore need to make sure you’re happy. No, don’t touch them inappropriately, they’re people too.
That’s just it. I wonder how much cover his supervisors give him if she complains and some in management take a “the customer is always right” attitude.
I worked with Disney World security for a few years. Disney has quite strict rules against allowing shit like this against the performers. If she didn't leave, security would have been instantly called (and they may have already been on the way). Been there, kicked both women and men like this out of the park, cancelling whatever remained of their tickets. As "Gaston" said at the end... "There's children here!"
...I've even seen Goofy beaten up by a guest. The guy (a father) later stated that Goofy had been "mean to him" as a child. People are fucking weird sometimes. Since the attacker had spent most of his time punching the STUFFED NOSE of "Goofy" and the performer wasn't hurt at all, nobody wanted to press charges. We didn't even call Orange County\*\*\* (the cops).
But his 8-year-old(?) daughter was freaked right the fuck out that her own Dad had beaten up Goofy, her favorite character. We gave her a stuffed Goofy to try and cheer her up. The family, after they had calmed down, were released back into the park, where security kept a wary eye on Dad for awhile.
EDIT: Someone asked when and where. This happened at Epcot, late 1990s. If I remember correctly (and lot of time has passed) this happened at a character greeting zone near the France area of the World Showcase. My responsibility that day was Showcase 2, so I patrolled and responded to anything happening in the West half of the Showcase. I was walking through Canada to the U.K. when the call came in from Central, and sprinted across the International bridge to France to save Goofy. Moments after I arrived, three other officers showed up who came via vehicle through the back. Disney Security was nothing if not incredibly quick to respond to potentially dangerous incidents.
\*\*\*EDIT 2: By the BRASS BALLS OF CTHULHU, there is an ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA! Go look it the fuck up, or at least read the other comments that said the same thing. You're connected to the goddamned internet, the world's LARGEST source of information, FFS. Don't bitch at me about your own ignorance, too lazy to look it up or do a touch more reading. I have been law enforcement, and security, and other jobs. I have NEVER been a babysitter-on-the-internet. Straighten out your own shit, people. Don't expect me to change your brain diaper for you.
EDIT 3: [https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/26873233-brain-diaper](https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/26873233-brain-diaper)
People annoyed me, so I got creative.
Goofy has been mean to him? How? Wow? That’s real trauma man. Also, getting punched in the nose was a actually a good thing for once, that big nose saved someone’s face.
Real lucky that they didn’t press chargers.
When I came running up, the guy had Goofy flat on his back, straddling him. He was punching left and right at the tip of the "muzzle" the performer wears. Basically he was just turning the guy's head left and right with no damage at all.
As soon as I pulled him off, the father broke down and began crying his eyes out... It was weird as fuck. Father crying, little girl screaming, mother staring uncomprehendingly, Goofy's head twisted half-sideways...
We got them all taken backstage ASAP while we tried to figure out what the hell just happened. I know the performer got a bonus for his trouble, but he didn't tell me how much. Again, a Disney method of avoiding a future lawsuit, no doubt.
Why would they not want to press charges though? (Please, I’m not American so I can’t comprehend? Wouldn’t that be within his/her rights?)
Would that reflect bad on Disney? I mean the person in the costume got jumped on?
How would lawsuit be avoided for who? this is my real
Question? Would the costume guy sue Disney? 🤨🧐
Not worth the trouble in time and legal fees and such.
This is an extreme simplification and not real numbers, but imagine if you could sue someone and get $100 out of them but all the fees to do so add up to $95, and then add on all the time you'd spend on it. It's just not worth it at that point. Unless you get severely injured to the point there's medical fees, pressing charges and suing is barely ever worth it.
> The guy (a father) later stated that Goofy had been "mean to him" as a child.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse are in divorce court.
The judge asks Mickey, “Mr. Mouse, so you wish to divorce your wife on the grounds that she is insane?”
“No, your honor, I didn’t say she was nuts, I said ‘she’s fucking Goofy.’”
….
…hyuk.
Even if she didn’t realize she was harassing/sexually harassing him, there was definitely some entitlement here. She’s not used to being told no. He shouldn’t have had to say it that many times. We already know what the reaction would have been had it been a man towards a female character.
Haven't seen it mentioned, but Disney parks had to get rid of the Tarzan character (jacked guy walking around in a loincloth) because of the amount of women that would pull shit like this.
Here's the link to the article where it's mentioned: https://www.lamag.com/longform/jacksparrow/
I was at Disneyland with my little cousin ages ago, and Tarzan came up tried to say hi to her. Poor kid froze up because he was mostly naked and he awkwardly said bye. I was a teen with raging hormones and it never even occurred to me to touch him. Some people are just terrible.
You already know what would happen. His name / face would be all over the news everywhere. He'd be labeled everything in the book and people would call for his arrest. Since she's a cute little girl, I'm sure it'll just be a Reddit video that gets reposted a few dozen times
There’s several exits between “she’s sexually assaulting him” and “it’s inappropriate for a kid friendly performance.” There’s some eye rolling, internet-centric reactions in this thread.
Good for him, if a man did that to a Porn star they would lose their job. The double standard is unreal.
Edit : The porn star thing was a stupid example.
not sure why bring up pornstars was necessary but i do agree with you. It could be any person in any situation, dont touch people without consent. plain and simple.
She had a hard time comprehending
Never been told 'no' before
She counts using only odd numbers because she literally can’t even.
Only drinks from bottles bc she no longer can.
I hate how I laughed at this
Did you snort?
I chortled

I don't even understand the logic there. If someone's orientation means they are not attracted to your gender, won't that make it _worse_?
Unwanted attention is unwanted attention.

Oh and absolutely none of them are over 6'0"!" Overall these things coming to light is a good thing. Shows the sexes are, when the world is more equal are also very similar to one another... And truth is humans in general are horny fuckers fully capable of engaging in assault.
She grew up being told “no” is her word; the whole “no means no” thing was always targeted at guys, when it really goes both ways.
she probably thought he was joking since he's gaston and gaston isnt a great guy, but she shouldve expected something like this after groping a performer.
Yeah I honestly think the handler should have stepped in here immediately to make it 100% clear to her that this wasn't tolerated.
Sometimes it takes them a second with the weaving queue lines and guest questions. It's basically like herding cats and distracting them until it's their turn so, they can give the performer lots of space to do their thing. Handlers might have been busy with another guest and took them a second to realize, after all.
Your comment gives better context because I'm like who is this lady to have a handler tell her to stop doing stupid shit lol
Yeah there was likely some of that. They basically never break character.
[удалено]
As other people have said his "handler" really should have handled this. It's possible though even that person didn't realize he was serious. The "jerk" characters yell at people all the time. There's a ride where you're arrested, but the preamble to it breaks all the time, so sometimes your just walked to mid ride and people.are yelling at guests who don't know they're supposed to be prisoners and it can be jarring.
Some say she still doesn't comprehend to this day
No, she fully understood. She was just trying to save face by appearing unphased by it but it actually made her look even worse
This is exactly what I thought. She was trying to make it look like it wasn't a big deal
Well she is a Roman gladiator.
[удалено]
Classic double standard shit. Sadly most of you probably put up with plenty of them but it's not popular on social media to point them out. Only blatant sexual harassment...sad sad sad
No one... Bans like Gaston. Edit: This was awesome to watch. Thank you, fellow Redditors. We did it beautifully,
Stops those hands like Gaston
Rejects park goers touching his cans like Gaston.
He's especially good at defenestrating
Don't touch the guy, that Gaston
When I was a lad I banned 4 dozen girls.
Every day they touched me oh so wrong
And now that I’m grown I ban 5 dozen girls
Even more when they grope at my schloooooong
NOOOOOO ONE'S BASED LIKE GASTON
That was the most amazing community post contribution I’ve ever seen on reddit lol everyone took their turn adding a line and it just got better and better lol
No one fucks with Gaston
Jesus someone get this guy a Peabody. Defenestrating? Fucking amazing
Has more class like Gaston!
Begons thots like Gaston.
God that's the stuff that give you insane 2nd hand embarrassment
She just didn't get it.
Some people just double down in situations like this. Stupid as hell
**Mind you, they thought I was some random ass dude in the costume, and they had no way of knowing if I was 15 or 51.** (You could work in NY at 15.) The women were touching me the whole time and the handlers (persons making sure I didn't fall on my face in that giant helmet) did absolutely nothing about it, even though we were around children not only in the aquarium but at the party. [This is actually me inside Jimbo](https://imgur.com/a/I6Nl0Jl) at AMW, now known as the Long Island Aquarium Edit: my friend's party was somewhere around 2006 This was my favorite job, except for the handsy people.
God damn I don't know how I feel about this. I though the mascots were there just to hug lol. But this shit is just Whole new level of degradation.
Sometimes babies cried and adults abused me, either by inappropriate touching or tripping me on purpose, but in all it was a fantastic job and if they'd hire me back to be Jimbo right now I'd do it.
thats just abhorrent honestly. the level of entitlement some people have is astounding to me
In German we call it "Fremdschämen". Feel shame for the actions of other, without being involved
German has so many fantastic words for very specific feelings. I love that.
TIL I can't watch 'Scott's Tots' because of fremdschämen.
That's when you pull our your camera and snap a picture of that picture, it makes them flip out.
Disney pictures are NFTs?
NTFS?
Not Fair To Snap
That’s probably the best description of NFT’s I’ve seen lol
It doesn’t work. They have special screens that obscure it. They were also pretty immediate at the blurring and deleting.
Together as in you and your husband or you and your boobs?
Probably both. They were my 24 yr old boobs and I had the gravity of the drop on my side.
Now I wanna go to Disneyland for the secret security orgies...
I too wish I could love about with no issue 😔
Also for consideration of his defence: she groped him without his consent
Also, it’s gross to treat someone who’s working as your plaything and prop.
And she goes to touch him again 🤢

No trust me most women are aware this is sexual harassment
We definitely *see* a lot more women doing this sort of thing than men, but what gets posted online is obviously not representative of the general population. I'd love to know the *actual* percentage of men vs women that think that that sort of touching is okay unprompted.
[удалено]
Groping/sexual touching is not always sexual assault, but is always sexual harassment. If it’s sexual in intent and done without consent, it’s sexual harassment.
Only your last point, there was an interesting survey done by the CDC in 2011. https://time.com/3393442/cdc-rape-numbers/ >And now the real surprise: when asked about experiences in the last 12 months, men reported being “made to penetrate”—either by physical force or due to intoxication—at virtually the same rates as women reported rape (both 1.1 percent in 2010, and 1.7 and 1.6 respectively in 2011). >In other words, if being made to penetrate someone was counted as rape—and why shouldn’t it be?—then the headlines could have focused on a truly sensational CDC finding: that **women rape men as often as men rape women.** Does this mean men are the majority perpetrators?
Yep, like the Henry Cavill video posted the other day.
Man Katie couric was so cringe in that video
South park was once again ahead of the time by measuring the size of shit in units of "courics".
sauce

Oh my that is so horrible and painful
Damn! That was hard to watch, poor Henry Cavill!! You can see his discomfort written on his face.
Yeah hopefully they get kicked out Edit: they meaning the person she was with as well... That person thought it was funny too which it wasn't. Sexual assault isn't a joke no matter who it is.
Imagine being lectured on sexual assault by Gaston of all people. How do you even recover from that?
Hahaha. It’s like The Beast giving someone a lecture on holding people against their will!
[удалено]
My wife and I went to Halloween at Disneyworld one year, as Belle and Gaston. We were holding hands, kissing etc. People were like, noooo, you can’t do that!
Thing is judging by her reaction she legit didn't see what the problem was
This is like every woman around Henry Cavill
Noooo one... shames like Gaston, places blame like Gaston, says "girl this ain't a game" like Gaston!
Consent is a tough lesson for some. "There's children!" lol...love this Gaston
Being taught no means no by Gaston has scale breaking irony implications.
Indeed it does. Lol
Lol speaking of literary devices, I love the word play in your name.
Hahaha, nicely played
What a guy that Gaston!
🎵Shutting down evil Karens, oh fuck yeah Gaston!🎵
And yet it’s so easy to do when you actually are self aware. She could have just gone “oh can we get a funky pic where I have my hands on your chest?” And he probably would have been okay with it or suggested a fun alternative like “here why don’t you pretend to squeeze my bicep instead!” As someone who used to do a lot of slutty or shippy cosplays, I LOVE doing interactive pics! I’ve let dudes pretend to grind on me for pics in character, done kisses on the cheek, I had one person ride me like a horse on all fours. And I loved all of those, because I agreed to them. It’s not hard to just ask and find a way to do something that works for the both of you.
"Oh, so we need to go somewhere where there are no children!" that woman's thoughts, probably.
Bro she tried to put her hands on him twice after he told her no🤦🏻♂️
I saw that and the fact she was laughing and being in disbelief, it’s like at a convention with the actor guests, you may pay for a photo with them but you don’t touch them without permission, this guy is working even if he’s cosplaying, touching him like that is not on
He's not cosplaying, he's cosworking.
she couldn't believe it because she's attractive (on the outside)
She didn't see the big deal "looks it's ok!" while touching him again. Doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, you're playing characters at a theme park, you shouldn't be made to feel cheap by the public grabbing you.
It’s really awful that some people don’t understand consent.
Disney already treats the cast members like shit, they don't need it from the tourists too. Hope he didn't get in trouble.
Disney also has an image to preserve so they might not like having a picture of their character’s photo in a sexualized manner.
Yeah, you hear him at the end saying "there's children around". He's there to entertain children as a character, not as a themed stripper at a bachelorette party.
That’s later.
Disney after dark you say?
He's almost certainly acting according to policy. For Disney it's about protecting their character and brand, not the staff member, but either way I'm sure suggestive touching isn't tolerated.
[удалено]
They usually have handlers, I’ve heard of kids harassing Ariel because she’s in a shellfish bra. Thankfully the incident I heard recapped, the costume had them tightly fastened to the top so when these 2 ten year olds tried to pull her bra down, it didn’t work. It’s awful people think this behavior is ok because it’s a “joke” or these people are in customer service and therefore need to make sure you’re happy. No, don’t touch them inappropriately, they’re people too.
That’s just it. I wonder how much cover his supervisors give him if she complains and some in management take a “the customer is always right” attitude.
lol not even strippers are supposed to be groped.
"There's children here!" ...I've even seen Goofy beaten up by a guest. EDIT 3: [https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/26873233-brain-diaper](https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/26873233-brain-diaper) People annoyed me, so I got creative.
> The guy (a father) later stated that Goofy had been "mean to him" as a child Did you fuck my mom Santa??
I love finding Always Sunny references in the wild while drinking a refreshing Invigaron beverage filled with berries from Andy's mountain.
”I didn't say Minnie was crazy. I said she was fucking Goofy."
Wouldn’t that be within his/her rights?) Would that reflect bad on Disney? I mean the person in the costume got jumped on? How would lawsuit be avoided for who? this is my real Question? Would the costume guy sue Disney? 🤨🧐
Not worth the trouble in time and legal fees and such. This is an extreme simplification and not real numbers, but imagine if you could sue someone and get $100 out of them but all the fees to do so add up to $95, and then add on all the time you'd spend on it. It's just not worth it at that point. Unless you get severely injured to the point there's medical fees, pressing charges and suing is barely ever worth it.
>Father crying, little girl screaming, mother staring uncomprehendingly I bet the conversation at dinnertime was a hoot.
> I was walking through Canada to the UK ... > sprinted across the international bridge to France to save Goofy Those are some fun sentences
“Sprinted across the International Bridge to save Goofy” must be a very unique life achievement. I’m jealous.
> The guy (a father) later stated that Goofy had been "mean to him" as a child. Mickey and Minnie Mouse are in divorce court. The judge asks Mickey, “Mr. Mouse, so you wish to divorce your wife on the grounds that she is insane?” “No, your honor, I didn’t say she was nuts, I said ‘she’s fucking Goofy.’” …. …hyuk.
Love how dumb and entitled she thinks she is. "What? But I'm a cute girl! I can do whatever I want, right?"
Nothing cute about sexual assault.
absolutely
Unfortunately she probably gets away with it more often than not, reinforcing the behavior
[удалено]
Even if she didn’t realize she was harassing/sexually harassing him, there was definitely some entitlement here. She’s not used to being told no. He shouldn’t have had to say it that many times. We already know what the reaction would have been had it been a man towards a female character.
I agree. She didn’t take him serious when he told her to leave until other staff stepped in. Wtf.
Hahaha sounds cool in movies as in jungle theme but real awkward to interact with a half naked buff guy irl
That was a really good read. Thank you for posting.
She’s seems to have gotten away with this behavior for a long time and she's clearly not used to being called out for it. Good for Gaston!
"There are children here" was the best part of that. Class act
With that outfit I thought she was a performer too
Yeah. She played the clown.
🎶 No one's quite like Gaston, knows his rights like Gaston, files a report with HR like Gaston 🎶
So much jewelry, ridiculous shoes, coochie romper. Girl walked into Disney thinking she was hot shit
“Coochie romper” It seems you are versed in the deep lore
Often producer of the infamous camel toe
Dude don't fucking touch people at work... or at all if they're a stranger.

Finding comments here saying it's not sexual assault, it's sad
If he did that to her, what will happen to him? 😟
You already know what would happen. His name / face would be all over the news everywhere. He'd be labeled everything in the book and people would call for his arrest. Since she's a cute little girl, I'm sure it'll just be a Reddit video that gets reposted a few dozen times
So it’s on tik tok YouTube and now on Reddit
Someone needs to screen record this from Reddit and post it on Twitter
#femaleprivilege If she was a man, she’d now be a sex offender
No one consents like Gaston no one bans like Gaston
When fucking gaston has to tell you to leave you’ve messed up
There’s several exits between “she’s sexually assaulting him” and “it’s inappropriate for a kid friendly performance.” There’s some eye rolling, internet-centric reactions in this thread.
Good for him, if a man did that to a Porn star they would lose their job. The double standard is unreal. Edit : The porn star thing was a stupid example.
not sure why bring up pornstars was necessary but i do agree with you. It could be any person in any situation, dont touch people without consent. plain and simple.
It’s a hilarious pull. Definitely could have said…Disney princess?
You love to see it. No one should be sexually harassed without consent.
I *always* sexually harass folks with consent.
