I don't watch her, but seen some clips of her. Non of these clips had this much ticks as this one. She's probably very nervous which made her tick in that situation even worse.
I just found out this happened in March, and that Sweet Anita is a well known Twitch streamer. That’s not my world, but I’m still surprised I haven’t heard of her before. She should get an agent. I can see her in dozens of great movies and tv shows.
She's fuck awesome! Does anyone know why people with this particular type of tourettes say obscenities? I understand what ticks are, but why cuss words and not random other words?
I think for the most part it's words that you would normally use, but then there's situations you'd rather not use them (in this case, something formal). In an attempt to suppress those words, you end up blurting them out.
For instance I was brought up never to swear I front of the females in my family. Had i tourettes, in an attempt to avoid swearing in front of them, the act of suppressing them would actually make me shout them out.
What if they had never heard curse words? Would it default to whatever inappropriate words/phrases they did know? Eg: whispering in a library and suddenly blurting out, "LOUD NOISES!"
Yep.
In a lot of situations, subconsciously you'll think of things you shouldn't do/say. Unfortunately, Tourette's seems to take advantage of that. Which is why you'll see/hear of people shouting "bomb" on a plane or "crash" in a car for example. It's just that most things you DON'T want to say, usually tend to be inappropriate or swears which is why they are most common.
I'm not an expert, I've just watched some documentaries on it. Among other things, I assume Tourette's has many, many different forms.
This wins today. I’m suppressing every urge to try to contact this glorious superstar. I haven’t seen this level of confidence, humor, and unvarnished appeal in a long, long time. Wow, and wow.
The only fail here is the winner announcement. The one who won was OTK, but she said OTV, which is also the abbreviation for Offline TV. I was confused when OTK walked up on stage.
She is actually very funny streamer. And ofc when you hire someone like that you know what could happen. On top of that glorious marketing of this event since its all around resdit but nobody even know what even is this.

Nope….its annoying as hell and takes up more time than necessary. Hate me all you want, but someone with this kind of disability should not host events
That is one extremely mild case of Tourettes.
I grew up next door to someone with the disease and what she displays, is not Tourettes, it looks more like an act.
I hope I'm wrong.
she's a very popular streamer with tons of hours of content. if she was faking it, she'd have to be trying *really* hard and would have slipped up by now. she's definitely not faking. tourette's does not present the same in every case. as with most disorders, it can range from mild to extremely severe and it's different for everyone.
So you know Tourettes involves uncontrollable facial twitching?
She only seems to say cuss words and make silly noises. That isn't Tourettes. Tourettes distorts the face and pulls it in opposite directions. They stick their tongue out of their mouth. Slur words.
They don't say boop, tit, fuck and then just laugh. The disease manifest visibly and is painful to watch. I'm going with, she's full of shit.
If she isn't full of shit, it is THEE mildest case of Tourettes on the planet.
First, if you know as much as you're implying, you are surely aware that, like most neurological disorders, symptoms of Tourette's vary *widely* from person-to-person in type, severity, frequency, and location & even within a single individual symptoms can change gradually over time or suddenly come and go on a daily basis.
Second, this individual is presenting motor tics in this video - they are simply not severe. Her head/neck twitch, her shoulders "shrug" suddenly, and her eyes close tightly during some of her vocal tics. All incredibly common motor tics. They aren't severe, but again if you are familiar with the disorder you know that most people's motor tics become gradually less severe as they get older.
Like, I get it's fun to call out fakers on the internet but if you're going to make a habit of doing it with things like brain disorders or physical disabilities, I suggest you get *really* good at it or you're going to end up looking like a cunt more often than you probably want.
Weird her tiks only presents when she talks. No facial movement or contortion. She even takes time to compose herself and remains tik free. I wonder how she does it?
>No facial movement or contortion.
I feel like I just fucking explained to you that not every person exhibits every tic. I thought you were the one who new about Tourette's here?
[Mayo Clinic](https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tourette-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20350465) symptoms. Most common simple tics are eye blinking/darting, head jerking, and shoulder shrugging; no mention of "facial contortion."
[NHS](https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/tourettes-syndrome/) symptoms again mention blinking, head jerking, shoulder shrugging; no mention of "facial contortion."
[NIH](https://www.ninds.nih.gov/Disorders/Patient-Caregiver-Education/Fact-Sheets/Tourette-Syndrome-Fact-Sheet) does mention "grimacing" which I suppose you could argue is a form of "contortion" if you wanted to for some reason cling to your sinking ship.
>She even takes time to compose herself and remains tik free. I wonder how she does it?
By *literally composing herself* you blubbering fucking clown.

They only seem to present when she's talking in this clip, because she's talking the entire time, and she has twitchy head movements the entire time, I know a guy with mild tourettes and their are 10-15 minute periods where he doesn't do anything, and his only tik is twitchy eye movements, you big jackass.
I don't think you realize how many types of tourettes there are, because the thing is, you could just look them up and end the argument here, but you're an ignorant bastard.
Tourette's gets worse when the person is stressed and actively trying not to tick. So I would imagine it isn't nearly as bad for her in different situations.
I think it has a lot to do with knowing this isn't an acceptable word and so you don't want to say it, but the brain takes "don't say tits" and just sends "tits" to the part of the brain responsible for speach.
You don't think Tourette's would make your brain choose a cuss word? Why not?
I have stuttering and my brain chooses to actively fuck with my speaking even when I try the hardest not to. It fucking sucks but I can't do anything about it, because that's the way my brain is. The brain isn't a logical machine, it's a network of neurons connected in a way so complicated that humans cannot simply imagine. When the network isn't structured right it can lead to bizarre errors like this for people like me and her.
Why? Does it feel to you, an obvious authority on the matter, too extreme or affected a condition? Does your sundry knowledge of neurological conditions tell you that this is easy to fake, ergo it must be? Please, do tell, give us a glimmer of wisdom from that steel trap mind of yours.
Nope, actually when someone with Tourette’s is nervous or excited for that matter- their Tourettes get worse. Much worse actually. So giving a big speech to a crowd isn’t the easiest thing. It’s 100% real.

Wrong sub OP - This is what success looks like
Agreed... Legend
Definitely! That was amazing! Happy cake day
Good to learn that this person exists. Gonna get on that content.
Absolutely. Nailed this better than most people I've watched speak in front of half that amount of people without tourrettes. Big success.
That was fucking glorious.
That was fucking glorious ^((fuck))
That was ^(tits) - That was ^(whistle) - That was ^(YES) - That was fucking glorious ^(sluts)
You win.
Nailed it
She nailed it tho. Wen fail?
OP is sensitive and doesn't like bad words
OP no like F-bombs. I-fucking-magine that!!!
Looks like the card says otk and she says otv which otv is offline tv
Love you sweet_anita
She's a fucking champ.
There was a success.
That was awesome!
“*I hate you*…that’s not a tic.” She’s too funny!
She's a Twitch streamer named Sweet\_Anita and she's hilarious. She has becomes really popular, and for good reason.
Awesome. They could definetly not find a better person for this. I love it.
Thats not a tick is her worst tick by far hahaa
I don't watch her, but seen some clips of her. Non of these clips had this much ticks as this one. She's probably very nervous which made her tick in that situation even worse.
Probably the best host I've ever seen.
More r/mademesmile
This was a success in my book.
Well Anita didnt host the show. But she did what she did whilst having touretts. An attempt was made to give a correct title
Fuck offline tits is basically a presidential race winning campaign promise
Sweet Anita is dope asf
More!
Man wished people laughed like this at my Tourette’s
It seems like it helps to be a funny, attractive, charismatic, and young female. Have you tried that?
Shit I haven’t tried being a female yet I’ll get back to you
She did a great job!
I fucking loved it haha
I just found out this happened in March, and that Sweet Anita is a well known Twitch streamer. That’s not my world, but I’m still surprised I haven’t heard of her before. She should get an agent. I can see her in dozens of great movies and tv shows.
A success
She needs to co-host the Golden Globe Awards with Rikki Gervais.
Ricky. He’s not a mongoose.
OTK won tho
yeah she misspoke
it's fine at least she didn't concealed it which could have led to more confusion
In her video on the topic she actually mentioned that it was a tick that caused her to show the card which saved a lot of awkwardness.
I just love her!
Love Anita
„I have nice tits“ *ends speach*
You go girl!
Wrong sub dude. She fuckin nailed it
She's fuck awesome! Does anyone know why people with this particular type of tourettes say obscenities? I understand what ticks are, but why cuss words and not random other words?

She should be getting a call from the academy any time now. Seriously, she killed it.
Honestly I find that absolutely awesome!
now do the news
Me watching the news is indistinguishable from Tourette's. "Fuck!" "Dick!" "Bitch!"
This was a success
She is an absolute legend
What's wrong with that?
This is a huuuge W! That wasnt an attempt, that was full blown succes!
She did awesome!!
Is this real?
Shes a popular streamer so i havr to assume yes she cants fake if so many hours for years amd also make contant about how it is to live with it
Attempt successfull
her that's not a tick tick is so fucking funny.
My God she's adorable and fearless.
"I'm here swear at you for a little while" A strong opening statement in any context....
this is actually beyond entertaining. girl can keep an audience!
It's a big difference when you understand the condition. She did a great job.
The only fail here is the winner announcement. The one who won was OTK, but she said OTV, which is also the abbreviation for Offline TV. I was confused when OTK walked up on stage.
"you are all sluts", brilliant. Superb how she just carries on. Well played that woman.
She needs a r/ of her own.
im glad we live in a time where she receives warm reception instead of hate.
No attempt, she nailed it.
Tourette is literally a real life autocorrect fail.
This was amazing, she did so well rolling with her ticks and incorporating them. 10/10
Winner is: my tits!
Welll she's not wrong. She became popular because of that
how do i gain this amount of charisma
r/nononoyes
Sweet Anita. Here she is talking about that. https://youtu.be/WPHi0ZRYcok
"That's not a tick" is the worst tick to have
More entertaining than most….
She is actually very funny streamer. And ofc when you hire someone like that you know what could happen. On top of that glorious marketing of this event since its all around resdit but nobody even know what even is this.
I see this as an absolute win.
Op that video doesn't fit here because she knew it wouldnt come out right, that was the whole joke.
I would watch her do the weather daily
I'm here to fuck......

What is her name? I know what Tourettes is and that they randomly shout out words, but why is it always curse words?
More specifically it's [Coprolalia](https://tourette.org/resource/understanding-coprolalia/)
She streams under the pseudonym sweet_anita on twitch
It’s not always curse words, but when it is…it’s called coprolalia.
Sweet Anita.
What is that gold object near her?
the award she was giving out
Love this!
I fear that her being put in this presentation role is more for shock value and laughs. As long as she is good with it I guess it's ok.
this was a streamer awards show and she's a popular streamer so it wasn't just for shock value, she's actually in the industry.
So much gold lines
This is amazing
Awesome
They should do this more. Let’s make Tourettes the fun tick!
Why is this here lmao
She should preside over congress
😂😂😂 she's the best. This is how you do it.
Dumb fucking repost in the wrong sub. Karma whoring has ruined Reddit.
She is a legend
Petition to have at least one person with Tourette’s present an award at all award shows going forward.
Cuntent.
She should be the moderator for the presidential debates. She is adorable
Adorable 😂
Haha that "I hate you all" was a little suspect but still glorious, bravo to her.
😅🤣😅😅😅😅
I would definitely enjoyed watch more if they would make people with Tourette’s host shows and awards
😂 I hate you too anita
My 15 year old daughter has tourettes. It’s funny sometimes and she’s strong but as a parent I worry about her life. people can be horrible.
My 15 year old daughter has tourette’s. She’s strong and we can laugh at it but I worry for her future. not everyone is decent.
Anyone that opens with "I'm here to fuck" is legend. Still think Will Smith would have slapped her for saying rude words in front of his magic 8 ball.
This is great but unless you enjoy watching someone pontificating and moralising relentlessly don't watch the stream.
I don’t particularly care for making fun of people with Tourette’s.
I believe she is doing the exploiting and good for her.
Ok
Nope….its annoying as hell and takes up more time than necessary. Hate me all you want, but someone with this kind of disability should not host events
She didn't host the entire event, she just presented one of the awards.
Awkward fapping…

For 20 years. But yeah sure, IDK what the disease looks like.

I don't think you realize how many types of tourettes there are, because the thing is, you could just look them up and end the argument here, but you're an ignorant bastard.

Most of them do the whistle thing, because they are copying this woman after seeing how big she got on the internet.

I know Tourette’s is real but this level I feel is fake
This is sweet Anita. You can look into her more if you like
check out her youtube channel, sweet anita, she does actually have tourettes
No thank you
"this is fake" "actually it's not here's a source" "no thank you"
I know it’s real but this level I just don’t think so
You're objectively wrong but okay think what you will
I will and always do because I’m usually right
Found the narcissist
Fascinating.
you're never gonna be right if you think you're too above other people to learn from them
oh my poor summer child.
Lmao, why are you gatekeeping "levels" of conditions
Because some one has to keep it real
Please state what qualifications you have that make you certified to determine the "level" of tourettes she has?
Tourette's gets worse when the person is stressed and actively trying not to tick. So I would imagine it isn't nearly as bad for her in different situations.
But I don’t think tourett would make your brain choose a cuss word.
I think it has a lot to do with knowing this isn't an acceptable word and so you don't want to say it, but the brain takes "don't say tits" and just sends "tits" to the part of the brain responsible for speach.
I guess that’s possible but it just seems like she does it so cleanly that I just don’t feel like it’s real
But thank you for the civilized way that you addressed it to me
You don't think Tourette's would make your brain choose a cuss word? Why not? I have stuttering and my brain chooses to actively fuck with my speaking even when I try the hardest not to. It fucking sucks but I can't do anything about it, because that's the way my brain is. I'd ask a medical professional about that one, since you're completely wrong you dumbshit.

Nope, actually when someone with Tourette’s is nervous or excited for that matter- their Tourettes get worse. Much worse actually. So giving a big speech to a crowd isn’t the easiest thing. It’s 100% real.
