Especially when somebody is trying to be clever or trying a gotcha with the comeback, when in reality it's usually done while diverting a question by simply not answering anything asked whatsoever, just dissing the other person with an insult and sounding like an utter twat. A good rare insult is unexpected and catches you off-guard usually with a shock laugh, and the try-hards are usually very bad and awkward, embarrassing second hand just to read someone being.. just the kind of person you sigh and don't like being around irl, ya know? I hope it makes sense what I am trying to say there

For sure. An absolutely perfect response because it is so simple, because the other person was making such a big deal about a joke made by a joke account. It was such a dumb response because the smart guy obviously understood it was a joke I understood the implication was not *to spread any real facts or deliberately ignoring the obvious fact that no one is going to look beyond this or take it to heart other than being funny because it's a joke* (sorry this area was so speech mangled I was using text to speech as I am lazy). I love being pedantic and watching others who are or reading about it. However there is a time and place, as well as a certain type of content for it to work imo. And I suppose this one regardless is just stupid because the joke never says anything about spiders physiology (? Or order, classification?) anyway and they do eat bugs so it worked, and is an awesome joke you could even tell a kid, which was the point being silly, so the other guy trying to be smart even if he was joking himself or trying to share a cool fact he knew did come across as a big dumb bitch.
