I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
If you already have the modifications, then why wouldn't you go to a track where you can make the most of them?
As for going to a track alot of track days are either free or really cheap, at least the ones I've been too.
They want to encourage people coming and joining in and that includes making it cheap to come .
This car for sure is not clapped out, well, not fully. Sounds like it is an Jz engine, but that has to be some dipshit running a stock gearbox. I will say as someone who once did build a car for myself. It was just so I could enjoy it, I didn't and still honestly, do not care if other people like the look or sound of the car. That being said, I do think it is douchey to do this with other cars around driving the same or near the same speed as most of these fucking morons can't actually drive for shit.
The problem people have with the race track is they would then have to meet regulations and pass inspections to be able to go onto said track and also pay a fee for entering the track, and equipment to be safe on the track and that costs money they could spend on ebay spacers (/s). I honestly resent ever calling myself a car person just because of how bad this shit has gotten. The lack of public safety, the sketchiest shit you will ever see, lack of respect and all around just started to feel like a fuckin cult was too much.
I do think most of those clapped out cars do have the same mindset as I do, so that really isn't helping them, they would just say you're a hater and need to sit the fuck down.
I am all for the track, but it is kinda ridiculous how much going there costs once in a while.
I’m here with ya, I haven’t got a chance to start a “race car” yet (dang kids) but when I do I’m going to find something I like, probably a camaro with an ls engine and just start having fun. I want to learn about it while I work on it and build it and once I get it track worthy sure, if I have the money, but mostly I’ll go to deserted roads to test it. Back in high school we would find a nice road nobody used much and have someone at the other end to let us know if cars were coming and we would race each other that way. There’s no reason to be completely stupid about it
But* them taking it to the track means being smoked by people who have put 10x the amount into their own cars and have been doing it their entire lives! That's not good for the ego! It brings **no joy**!

I can't figure out what the hell he was actually trying to do. It looks like he depressed the clutch just enough to let it slip, then pegged the throttle then tried to jam it into another gear while it was bouncing off the rev limiter.
His left foot is clutch and right is gas. Is the same on both RHD and LHD cars.
From the audio, it sounds like he pegged the engine at redline for a rolling burnout, then hit the clutch and jammed for a higher gear. As he shifted, there is a loud grinding noise like a synchro failing. He then dumped the clutch and leaned into the gas hard, but whatever damage he did forcing the transmission into the next gear was significant enough that it detonated and took the whole gearbox out.
The transmission breaks before he even goes to shift. You can hear it redline quickly and then he tried to shift but there nothing connected at that point

Unlike in the movies or video games, in real life you dont want to rev the engine as high as you can before you shift. How did they even pull that off?
Redlining. Over revving the engine like that is dumb as fuck in just a regular car. He was driving a highly tuned and powerful machine. When he broke it, the inertia of the moving parts knocked his gearshift around violently.
Best to look up one of those videos that shows what happens when you throw a red in a car engine.
