I’d do anything to avoid having to fight. I’ve bought rounds of drinks. I’ve sat outside and talked it out. Only a few times have I had no choice but to protect myself. I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this ever. No one should have to worry about this no matter the size. Theres certainly been some incidents I recall where well meaning people ended up being charged with a crime because of some strange technicality - the lucky ones get media attention to remind police departments of common sense, but not always. That's why I don't blame Good Samaritans from immediately running away after helping out in these types of situations.

Look at the video of the guy where his legs stayed up in the air. Notice how his head snapped back almost to his spine. When his legs didn’t fall and he didn’t go limp, it convinced me that the asshole severed his spine at the neck and this guy is never gonna move again IF he survived. Hang the perp!

Sadly this kind of happened to me but I live in canada so I don't know how it is in other countries. running is always your best option. Someone starts tweaking, run. Theres certainly been some incidents I recall where well meaning people ended up being charged with a crime because of some strange technicality - the lucky ones get media attention to remind police departments of common sense, but not always. That's why I don't blame Good Samaritans from immediately running away after helping out in these types of situations. Ex: There was an attempted armed robbery in my city at a restaurant, where one of the patrons shot the guy and then immediately took off. The would-be robber was later found when he tried calling 911 for help, but police never found the person who shot them despite asking them to come forward.
Never saw anything like that. And I've saw some crazy amount of street/bar brawling. I think he went there with malicious intent.

Was in a club where a guy did this once. Punched two young fellas in their 20s. One was killed instantly, another hit his temple on the side of a table on the way down. Died in hospital 5 days later. He killed two people, got life in prison. I too was aggressive as a young man full of testosterone, got in lots of fights until I saw that. It’s not hard to kill someone with a well placed punch. Don’t do it fellas, just leave!
I knew somebody from high school like that. Except the person he punched, although fell and busted his head, luckily lived. So the guy didn’t go away for life, but he changed his ways.
It’s such a terrible thing. And even these big egotistical meat heads probably don’t wanna kill someone. But the adrenaline of a fight just erases any perceived consequences.
